Grupotel Rocador in Cala d'Or

Booked a week before going Picked hotel based on previous experience of TUI blu in other places and also we thought it was a 4 star but this is the TUI rating so this in our opinion is misleading - the hotel is actually a 3 star Position of hotel and proximity to beach/bay is certainly the hotel's best asset. The beach was lovely. Room was a very good size with large balcony at front of hotel, clean and serviced daily. We had 1 small issue with lights in bathroom which was rectified promptly after reporting to reception. All staff we met were polite, friendly and professional and they are a credit to the hotel. The food in our opinion was typical buffet fare and like a lot of hotels temperature of dishes varies and tended to be warm rather than hot. I don't eat meat so for me the veggie offer was limited - mainly salad in the evening or pasta with tomato sauce which I found repetitive. We were disappointed to find the al la carte restaurant closed at the hotel when we stayed. This was not highlighted to us at time of booking or when we checked in and we only found out when we tried to book the restaurant via the app. We didn't visit the entertainment as we just like to do our own thing so we can't comment on that. Cala d'or is very pleasant to walk around and there are lots of shops, bars + restaurants within easy reach. Overall we had a great week in the resort, the weather was fab, would we stay here again? Only if the price was competitive and it would depend on what else was on offer at time.

Great hotel with warm and friendly staff. The hotel itself is clean and tidy. Brilliant choice in the restaurants with food at both breakfast and evening meals. The only downside which I am really disappointed with is that the à la carte restaurant was closed. I would not of booked this hotel if I had know that the à la carte was shut. This should not be advertised as available if it is closed.

This our 5th visit to the hotel. It’s a perfect holiday location for us; right next to the beach, lovely relaxing spaces to enjoy the fantastic weather. The hotel staff are very welcoming and accommodating. The rooms are spacious and very clean and comfortable. The restaurant has a huge amount of choice and the service is excellent. We have always been very well looked after by Jose and the rest of the team.

The hotel has a great location with access onto a small beach and is also close to shops and bars. Housekeeping is exceptional as is the breakfast offered in the morning. We found all staff to be very friendly and helpful. Rooms were fairly spacious. Outdoor communal areas, pool, chill out areas etc were laid out with a mix of beds and tables and chairs. Why only rate at 4? A couple of niggles in the bathroom with loose fittings. Balcony chairs not comfortable for longer use, and storage options could be better. We found it very limited for two adults. It comprised 3 small drawers, a couple of shelves and restricted open hanging space. There were wall pegs to accommodate jackets which helped. Although you get used to it, the hotel layout is initially confusing. Better signage could help.

We had a lovely stay at TUI Blue Rocador in March 26, right at the beginning of the season we were the first guests! As expected, everything was nice and quiet, which made for a really relaxing atmosphere. The hotel itself is extremely clean, with housekeeping doing a fantastic job every day. The staff truly made the experience stand out they were all so friendly and helpful throughout the stay. A special mention has to go to Jose in the restaurant and Jose at the bar, both of whom went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The location is perfect, right on a beautiful beach and within easy walking distance of shops, which made exploring really convenient. The food was also a highlight, especially the fresh cooking stations. The omelette chef deserves a special thank you, the breakfast omelettes were excellent! There were just a few small areas that could be improved. It would have been nice to have some music in the lobby bar and around the pool to add a bit more atmosphere. Music finished after live entertainment sadly. Entertainment felt a little limited, particularly on rainy days, something like bingo or additional indoor activities would have been a great addition. A couple of practical touches, like an ashtray on the balcony and coasters in the room, would also improve comfort. Lastly, some of the food under the heat lamps cooled down quite quickly, so slightly hotter lamps might help. Overall, it was a great stay and I would definitely return. Thank you ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

What a fantastic hotel, right in the centre of Cala D’or. There is also numerous supermarkets all within walking distance as well as the beach being right behind the hotel which you get to by the gate at the back which you just scan your room key to go out off and the same when you return. The breakfast was fantastic with plenty of choice and also the evening meal you never had a problem finding something to eat. There was never a problem finding a lounger during the day as there was plenty. The only thing I can fault about this hotel in the Al a carte meal we went for, the staff didn’t have a clue what they were doing. They were bringing food out to tables when people hadn’t finished eating there previous course. We ended up walking out due to the service being slow and the staff being incompetent and making the experience not very good. The ordinary restaurant the staff couldn’t do enough for you. I would highly recommend this hotel for the convenient location.

Excellent location, friendly welcoming staff, good food, Wonderful view from the balcony. As it was our 4th stay at the hotel we were presented with a bottle of Cava and snazzy nibbles

We had a perfect week here. With a beautiful sea view, great location for some amazing restaurants. Our room was perfect and so comfortable. The staff were outstanding especially the waitresses. Highly recommend, perfect couples relaxing holiday

TUI BLUE Rocador had the most accommodating Reception Staff we have ever experienced in a hotel. They were always there to answer questions, help arrange things, give advice - anything was no bother to them and ALWAYS had a smile for you. The hotel was situated in an excellent position, the food was vary varied, plentiful and well presented. The rooms were comfortable and well kept. We could not fault this hotel at all and will definitely return. Thank you to ALL the staff for making our holiday so pleasant.
