Iberostar Selection Playa de Muro Village in Platja de Muro

Good hotel for family with kids because there were nonstop events until post 10pm so it’s quite loud and noisy.
The bed was not very comfortable-it’s too soft and squeaky and not giving much support for my back.
The breakfast was great, very delicious and healthy and all the fruits were super fresh and sweet and juicy.

We were just expecting a nice beachfront venue,...but the location simply got us flabbergasted. Excellent site, cozy rooms, top quality food -all and any option available; kids, vegan,..- extraordinary cleanliness, ....and the team!...people made us feel home! We need to name people at the restaurant: Pepe, Andrés, Juan (do not listen to his dad jokes!) and the management team led by Cristina, Martín, Candela and Manuela. You guys rock! Keep it up, well come back!

Wonderful venue right on the beautiful playa de muro beach. The perfect size of hotel, not too big, yet everything you could want or need. All the staff were brilliant, so helpful and friendly. We made good use of the excellent gym facilities and enjoyed lovely walks along the beach. The pool area is also very nice. We were bed and breakfast only, but the breakfast offerings were superb. Location excellent, with many local restaurants close by as well as a short taxi ride to Old Alcudia Town for more variety of food and shops. We highly recommend this hotel.

What a wonderful trip to Mallorca where we stayed at Playa de Muro “Villages” Amenities, staff, location, are all five star. But let’s focus on the food. Instead of the All Inclusive we did the Half Board which provides access to the morning and evening buffet in the big dining hall. You could never imagine the quantity and variety of food served here. The choices are endless. One evening was a seafood extravaganza theme, sushi and all food Asian inspired another night, last night was Italian themed. That’s just dinner. All the fresh fruit, cheeses, meats, and so much more for breakfast. Poached eggs on toast with ham and rocket. Avocado toast. The list goes on forever. The servers are extremely efficient and attentive. We met so many wonderful people - Helena was so personable and professional, we will miss her service. Also there is a fantastic ocean side outdoor dining patio, make sure to reserve in advance and ask for Miguel. So polite, so courteous, he is awesome. The pool options abound, clean and spacious. With clean towel service and abundant chaise lounges. But don’t forget the ocean, crystal clear water that is waist deep for yard and yards and yards, nothing but clean and warm tropical ocean vibes make Iberostar a real paradise.

The hotel was nice. We spent a week here and the staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful. The rooms were decent, though more what I'd expect from a 4-star hotel than a 5-star hotel, but our pool view balcony was a strong positive. Said pools were also pretty good if not exceptional. One major plus was the beach, with beautiful sand and lovely calm, clear water. However, the sunbeds are not private to the hotel, so cost extra, and were always completely full by the time we'd finished breakfast (it's a very short walk from beds round the pool instead). The food was satisfactory if, again, not impressive. We only went for half board because it was so cheap that if we only had dinner twice, it would be worth it. Unfortunately, when we went to a nearby restaurant on our second night, rated 4.8 on Google, it was terrible, so we lost all faith in the local area and just went to the buffet every other night. The food was good, but changeable - some nights were great but some were really disappointing. Breakfast also was not quite at the level I'd expect and have seen from other 5-star hotels. Finally, note that the hotel is very child-centric with activities for children aged 1-7, so about 90% of guests were families with small children. It can mean that meals feel a little chaotic and I don't think non-families were having a great time. Also, bear in mind that the majority of guests are German, so consider brushing up on that instead of the Spanish if you want to chat with anyone.

Overall, we wouldn’t come back and prefer the 4* Iberostar Selection Albufera Park to this 5* hotel. Why?

- the food is not great and not 5* (again the other Iberostar had way better food).
- dirty dishes
- we were asked multiple times to give good 5* reviews (one guy at the bar even pressed 5* on my phone for me…) - generally I expect staff to not pressure me to give 5* reviews

+ good location (beach is a bit narrow in front of the hotel but a short walk and the beach is wider)

We wouldn’t come back

Nice family hotel. Slightly overpriced for what you get but we’ve still been there twice. Main reason is the nice setting, good food and drink selection in combination with the great kids club. Pool and beach work well for families, you’ll always have a space (but need to pay as customary on beaches in Spain for a sunbed). You can go there and just spend a week without having to think about food quality or entertainment etc. it’s not a culinary enlightenment, but you’ll have a good selection of good quality food, and usually fresh grilled salmon etc every evening.

It is our second time in this hotel as a family, although we usually don’t return to places twice. We have an 8 month old baby and this place is amazing for families with small children. It is located on a beautiful beach with shallow water. Has several pools and the hospitality and services are beyond professional: everyone is very welcoming, warm and trying to accommodate even special wishes (like us having a freshly prepared porridge for our baby every evening, just because the annoying mom (me) doesn’t want to use supermarket solutions).

Specific gratitude goes to the beautiful and awesome Virginia serving the green bar during the day: sometimes we have the feeling she can read minds and is anticipating every guests need with a warm smile and perfectly mixed drinks.

So all in all, a beautiful hotel, deserving the 5 stars and a paradise for parents with kids.
