Mar Hotels Playa Mar & Spa in Port de Pollenca

Playa Mar and Spa is a perfect destination for a family with young children with so much to do both within the hotel and outside in Polenca. The hotel is spotlessly clean and the team work very hard each day to maintain this level. The entertainment team, headed by Paul, Andrea, Sami and Steffen are excellent and really put their hearts and souls into the disco and other events. Our children loved these events. The food is a real bonus here with plenty of choice for both adults and children as well as themes on most nights that were really well presented. Freddie and Angela run a tight and well organised ship and the experience is first class. The pools are good for both adults and children and again, spotless each day. Surrounding the hotel is the glorious pine walk which leads to the port town with lovely sandy beaches and sea that is warm and easy to swim or paddleboard in. Check out Multi Hire for paddleboard and Prom Am for road bike hire if you like these kinds of things. Both are near to the hotel and offer good prices and service. The hotel is lovely and clean with gorgeous trees inside the hotel making for a relaxing feel. Our suite was spacious for a family of 3 or 4.

The logo is it's better than at home the trouble is you never want to go home. The staff are incredible angie and her team Freddie lola mainte Natlaya olga paul love them all and in the bar my lovely marcos x and the fab cisco and reuben who always remember your drinks order. Great entertainment and dancing also. The food is great and all the pools not to mention the beauty of the surrounding areas. Will return soon Love carolina xxx

We arrived for our first family holiday as a 3. With our 9 months old son. First of all the staff were totally incredible - the attention they gave to the wee man was just amazing. We could name so many but Olga & Mane❤️ in the restaurant were his star favs. We can't thank you enough for keeping him comfortable and entertained on each meal. You are a pleasure. Such friendly friendly staff. Our premium suite was fantastic - especially for a wee one. Good space and very very clean. The beds were very comfortable too. Kids bath in and cot. Lina our cleaning staff was such a delight and nothing was too much. The drinking fountain in each corridor is such a great idea. Especially doing bottles!!! The restaurant was very impressive, the different themes and cuisines were a delight. Great choices and very fresh. Something could of been had each day and night without fail. As the weather wasn't brilliant we didn't get any use of the pools but again immaculate condition and the kids would have a complete ball. We will certainly be back again. 😀

The hotel was amazing. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. I am coeliac and they catered for me really well, providing me with a Gluten Free menu every day. I would recommend this hotel for families and particularly people with coeliac. We had a great time. Will be back !

This was second time for us in this hotel, we’ve spent Halloween there. The entertainment was lovely, food was superb especially on the Halloween night. The staff at the hotel is amazing, so friendly, treat you like a close friend. Spa is perfect with huge swimming pool, jacuzzi with hot water and cold pool. Location is quiet, but there is a beach in walking distance, football pitch next to the hotel and just on the doorstep to Tramuntana mountains. Love it, looking to book again next year 😊

A great first visit. Family of 10, aged 9 through to 82! Great location, 30 mins stroll along beautiful Pine Walk to town, a few hotels, shops and cafes on route. Hotel staff exceptionally friendly. Food great, suited all tastes. Rooms, a good size. Agree with others that privacy not great with bathroom layout. A great week for all our family. Thankyou

We stayed for a week for October half term with several generations of family, including young grandchildren Firstly the staff, with the exception of one man, were friendly and helpful. The food was of a decent all inclusive standard but the labelling on some food was poor, especially for vegetarians. The rooms are of an excellent size but the bathroom situation is a bit bizarre. The privacy of the shower and toilet are a bit questionable when you’ve got kids and friends of the kids staying in the same room. There were two televisions with a good selection of British channels. We had a room with a pool side garden, but we hardly used it as at this time of year it doesn’t get much sun and the bushes around it prevent access to the pool area. I wouldn’t pay extra agin for that room. The animacion team were excellent and great with the younger kids. They also did Halloween activities and decorated the hotel appropriately. Some of the evening entertainment was really good, some were average. The drinks quality was good, estrella on tap and many branded spirits included. Location is in a quiet part of Puerto Pollença, a coupe of minutes walk from the start of the pine walk, which is a beautiful 1 mile stroll to the main town. We also got a €14 taxi to the main town of Pollença one day. This is a beautiful town and well worth a visit. The weather was mainly good, with some rain and cloud. The spa area is excellent, one of the best I’ve seen in a 4* hotel. Overall we had a good holiday and I will recommend this hotel.

Very nice hotel and excellent staff. Our very young children made quite a mess on the floor in the restaurant Tried to clean it up but Tony the waiter said he would do it, we should enjoy the holiday (he is so helpfull) .
