We stayed here the beginning of September. First off the staff are wonderful, very helpful. The pool area was quiet when we were there, plenty of sunbeds and nice chilled vibes, no loud music etc. My only warning is the hotel is located right on a VERY busy main road, so the noise from that isn't great, especially at night. We paid €25 to move rooms as we were in a room directly overlooking the road. If you are a light sleeper this hotel isn't great, even when we moved rooms to other end of hotel we could hear traffic all through the night. Otherwise a great stay, literally a 5min walk to beach and bus stop right outside.

From the time we arrived late on Wednesday, 15 October, we were greeted very warmly. We are both on rollators and requested a room near the elevators. Once checked in, we were escorted to our room with our luggage taken care of. From the time we arrived at The hotel, we were treated royally. Anything we asked for if available was provided asap. Drinks 2for 1 between 5 and 6, and bar food available till 6-30. We availed of this a few times. Any information required was readily available at reception. The barman was very courteous and willing in any way possible. Both on Rollators, yet able to get about easily enough. The bus stop is almost outside the door and will bring you to Mirimar Centro shopping experience. Make sure to ask for Mirimar Centro, it's directly opposite the last bus stop, and at €1.20 you could afford to go there more than once. As well as shops on the top floor, an outdoor area for sunshine, and best of all, Go go-kart track. Should we get a similar deal again, we would have no hesitation in going back to Hotel Mainare.

Spent 5 nights here. Location great for beach and all the shops/bars/restaurants. The staff very helpful and polite. Spotlessly cleaned. Breakfast (only meal we ate in hotel) had loads of choice and restaurant indoor and outdoor seating.
We had 3 adults and a baby. Room was quite tight with a travel cot and a settee folded into a double bed settee but a fridge and good air con in the room.

We had a lovely stay here. Very clean, spacious and nicely decorated rooms. Fairly basic, but had absolutely everything we needed. Really friendly and helpful staff. Excellent location, convenient for the train station, and has a bus top right outside. The beach is right across the road. Would definitely return.

Extremely Disappointing Stay : Far Below 4-Star Standards:
The staff was unprofessional and cold, showing no sense of hospitality. There was a complete absence of management,despite multiple attempts to speak with a manager to resolve an issue we encountered during our stay, we were repeatedly ignored. Eventually, the reception bluntly told us, "They don’t want to see you."
On arrival, the bed sheets were torn, the mattress was old and extremely uncomfortable, and the pillows had a terrible smell. The balcony was left dirty for days, and the overall cleanliness of the hotel was far below acceptable standards.
This place barely meets the standards of a low-end motel, let alone a 4-star hotel.
To make matters worse, there was an incident where the door slammed shut on someone's finger, and the hotel staff showed zero empathy or reaction ,no assistance, no apology, absolutely nothing.
This experience completely ruined our vacation. We expected comfort and basic respect,we received neither.

Close to the Renfe train station but don't use Google maps for directions as it takes you up a steep hill and steep steps then into the station. Lovely staff. Very clean. Great breakfast choices and a gluten-free baguette and a large muffin were provided for my daughter. Rooms are spacious but only one socket beside the bed. A kettle was provided on request but we had to boil it on the floor. Great wee fridge which we needed to keep drinks cool as it was very hot. Bar area and selection of snacks and drinks are good. Close to the bus stop to take you into Fuengirola. Valentina was an asset to the hotel and was so pleasant and helpful. Phone signal was poor and it took 3 days to get someone to get our TV working. We needed it as our daughter needed to rest due to disability. Pool area excellent and always plenty of sunbeds.Book library a great touch. Staff in hotel are so helpful. Would stay again. If you are a light sleeper it is noisy as beside a main road and rooms not soundproofed against noisy neighbours above and next door. Nice balcony but over a road. It is not a no smoking hotel as our neighbours smoked in their room and on balcony. Also smoking allowed at the pool and seating area outside the bar.

What a lovely, clean, friendly hotel. Room was on 3rd floor and so spacious, beds very comfy, so clean and air conditioned. Breakfast was lovely everything you could want and a person doing omelettes and fried eggs, the restaurant was set up for breakfast lovely and the staff were so lovely throughout the hotel. Pool area great plenty of sun beds with umbrellas and trees for shade. The only two things I was disappointed with was no where to put wet clothes on balcony only of chairs then we couldn’t sit out there, need those little airers that fix to wall the other thing was checked out at 12 midday and no facilities to shower and change like most hotels have a shower room, we were told to use pool shower and the toilets but then everyone sees you washing your hair, we paid extra to keep room on. Even though I would still return to this hotel but have earlier flight. Thank you for a nice stay.

Nice place.common areas were nicely decorated, everywhere was very clean. Pool area not massive but plenty of sunbeds and no race to get one. Breakfast was plentiful with lots to choose from, including freshly made omelettes. Room was spacious but sparse. Staff were lovely, so helpful, friendly and welcoming. Location was at the quieter end of the strip which suited us. Very clean.

Hotel was nice, clean, spacious rooms, staff were friendly, and breakfast was good. Did not use the pool area as only opened at 10 (would have liked every morning swim) and then area was in the shade most of the day, but we chose hotel because of proximity to beach which was 2 mins walk. Had to pay 100 euro deposit on arrival which they charged my card for, not just a hold. I had to email a few days after departure to ask for it, which I thought was bad.

I stayed here for 3 nights with my husband - a quick getaway for some sun while our daughter was away with school. Could not fault the hotel - with the exception of a few issues with the air con - however mentioned it to reception and it was sorted. I've seen reviews critising food - we stayed on a B&B basis and couldn't fault breakfast, there was ample choice of continental type breakfast and a selection of hot, together with breads, eggs cooked fresh to order, pastries - there was more than enough to choose from. We had no experience with dinner - however spoke to some guests who did and they did say it was questionable and after the first night they would probably choose to eat out in the evenings - as there is an abundance of eateries - including bars and restaurants within a few minutes walk. We got a taxi (€7 each way) to the marina one evening - and the vibe at that end of fuengirola, is very different to that in the vicinity of this hotel. Near the hotel is very chilled, calm and quiet - the marina is loud music and very busy - not a critism - just both areas are very, very different. The pool area in the hotel is tranquil - the main sound is birds! Beautiful! Our room was adequate, the beds comfy, pillows average, great size room and balcony - which for us was facing the pool and a slight sea view. We will most definitely look to return - without hesitation.

Location great. Potential to be something great but an absolute dive.
Alarm bells ringing when old soiled drink mats brought out to put our glasses on.
Food awful. Daughters chicken soup had a cockroach in it. Proprietor apologised and brought out 2 more soups which we left.
Roast chicken was greasy and fried chicken tasted processed.
They have photos of Gordon Ramsey in their menu from when he was there a number of years ago, helping to them to improve the quality and service.
He would go mental if he set foot in there now.
Do yourself a favour and carry on walking past. There's some restaurants further along that may not be in as good a location, but the food is miles better.

Good value for money. We tried the gazpacho, fish burger and chicken pieces and everything was good for the price we paid. Staff was friendly and Jack's a very funny character.
