Oh my god. Absolute scam the room is insanely small can barely fit my luggage without trampling over it on the way to the bathroom. and spent all night awake hearing the person above me scream and talk loud in another language. and I could even hear him poop at night and use the bathroom. For the price, why not go to a slightly better hotel. Horrible

❗❗❗DONT BOOK HERE .... After planning my new year eve 2 months ahead and they took my money for 50 days they cancelled my booking coz of some silly "inconvenience" claiming that I only booked for one room coz simply they wanted to sell the room with a hight price just coz it's was a new year. Simply they refunded the money and that are claiming that I booked only one room not 2. Don't risk your plans by booking here. Ps: this is they style and did it before at least 3 times. Read the reviews❗❗❗❗❗

We enjoyed our stay here. The only negative is that it's a bit far from things but the subway is near by. We had a triple room which was large with our own bathroom in the hallway. The balcony was great! We also had a single room which was a bit small and dark. I think what room you get makes a big difference. The staff was very helpful with maps and suggestions of things to do.

I have been with my husband 5 nights and the place is very central, and clean, it has been reformed and looks all new. Maps, information, they help me to find all the list of the places in Barcelona. Coffe and tea free. We have a problem to get to the airport because it was a big strike, and receptionist help me to find the taxi to go to the airport. Barcelona is great!!, we love it!!. very clean and every night clean the streets with water!!. I will recomend this place to anybody.

2 months before our arrival I made reservation on their web page.After submitting my credit card I got an email with a confirmation number and reservation for our stay. When we arrrived to the hostal they told us they have no room for us and that the reservartion didnt go all the way through and it was my fault that my card was not charged by them. No matter where I travel after submitting my credit card information and receiveing confirmation and reservation number from the hotel I consider it a done deal (some hotel charge you the same day, some a week before, some on the day of your arrival.) Obviously not in this place where I think they open each room for more than one reservation and pick one and charge the highest price!!!! They didnt make the experience of coming to Barcelona nice but eventually we found another hotel and enjoyed our stay. We were looking forward to our stay at hostal central barcelona but they made the choice of not welcoming us and loosing many new potential customers that my company could have bring them. Sorry guys but never ever....

Close to all places, great hosts (Monica and Carlos), non problematic stay, rooms are cleaned everyday!!! We had such a blast staying there. Highly recommended place for a visit. Metro stations 5 min walking from the spot. With a beautiful weather you can go pretty much anywhere on foot! Gracias por todo Monica y Carlos! Hasta la vista! :)

Great location, walking distance to all the sights, great amenities all around nice cafes and restaurants. Our room was clean and fresh, bed really comfortable. Fresh towels every day and free hot drinks and water in the morning. Staff couldn’t do enough to help us. We will be back

I spent two nights in this most lovely hostel. All the staff are very friendly and utmost service minded. The room was very neat and clean. I find the prices are very reasonable too. The hostel is very well located in Barcelona, in walking distance to the center and the beach, not to forget La Sagrada Familia very close and an abundance of restaurants. I’m a frequent visitor of Barcelona and Hostal Central is my favorite place to stay.

The room is clean and very central, the staff is very nice and helpful. BUT, the bathroom is basically in the room, with no doors neither in front of the toilette nor shower. I felt really uncomfortable about that. And the bed wasn’t king sized, it was two single beds together that kept drifting apart. The room is very minimalist, not well equipped. No bathroom toiletries or mini fridge or anything you can think of. I wouldn’t come back
