Hotel Montes was an incredible experience. I rarely write reviews, and felt compelled to do so given my experience. I visited during a non-holiday in the fall months, so the weather was much cooler. Lovely large room overlooking a busy square. The room was one of the larger we have had as we tour northern Spain. Nice washroom with shower, comfy bed, and a modern renovated room. We received a warm and friendly welcome at Hotel Montes. The location couldn’t be better: right in the middle of Santiago’s vibrant old town, just a few steps from the cathedral. Breakfast was fine, the coffee especially good. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Santiago de Compostela!

I cannot say enough good things about this hotel. I've been to a few places and I'm willing to make compromises between advertising and reality. The hotel is very centrally located, close to Plaza de Obradoiro and the Cathedral. The receptionist was very friendly. The rooms were spacious and very clean. The hotel in general is very charming. The pillows were too soft for my taste, and they forgot to refill the shower gel. Breakfast was average. Overall, it was good value for money.

Excellent three night stay in this beautifully restored centrally located granite town house. Fernando and his father José are delightful hosts and very helpful. The hotel is spotless and beds very comfy. Do expect some usual busy city centre nighttime noise. Subsidised parking east in the nearby underground car park. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.

Fantastic location in the old city center. Clever use of space to provide modern comfort and amenities in an old building. Family-owned. Friendly staff, very happy to share tourism information as well as the local culture and economy. Elevator in the building functions perfectly.

We loved our time in the hotel ! My husband and I are cycling the Camino and they made accommodations to store our tandem traveling bike. It’s a family owned hotel and you feel very welcomed from the father and son. Our breakfast was fresh and delicious.

Got this room through the booking agency we used for the camino. It’s a nice enough hotel but more than a bit tired. Coffee at breakfast was good but the rest was mediocre. The beds are not comfortable…by far the worst of our trip. It’s close to the old town but I’m sure there are better places for the price. Would not choose this place.

A nice stone building with modern styled reception and rooms. This gives a nice atmosphere. Little breakfast cafe area and a basement restaurant. Very close to the old centre with lots of restaurants, cafes and beautiful streets. The Cathedral is about a 10min walk. I found the location very good and the airport bus route passes the door. At only €1pp per trip it's great value.

I loved my stay here, for the price I think it's good value.. my attic room was rustic and large with three single beds in it, so plenty of space for up to three people.. having a bath was also a luxury I wasn't expecting and was very pleased to indulge in.. being just outside of the main old town, it's close to a great street for restaurants a park area and a short walk (15min) to the train/bus station...

My first place in A Coruña…. Perfect localisation, perfect room ( ask for 2 or 3th floor: less noise from the street) Nice breakfast at the first floor…Nice and quiet morning. Centrally located just a few meters from the old town and close to beaches this competitively priced hotel was ideal for a few nights in Galicia. Good transport options to local towns e g Santiago d C and Ferrol

Very small and slightly querky. Great for a few days, but too small for longer stays. Breakfast and restaurant were super. A very friendly and a nice place to stay. Free WiFi worked perfect for our group. Ear plugs maybe for light sleepers as very old building without noise isolation

Not a bad place. A bit outdated yet very clean and with charm. I booked a double bed room. I didn't try the restaurant. Allowed me a good night sleep. This hotel is a beautiful and charming boutique hotel located just on the edge of the old town in Santiago de Compostela. Rims are stunning and full of charm with exposed stone and tasteful decor. After the Camino, all I needed was a hot shower and a soft bed. But this small, cozy hotel exceeded my expectations. It’s close to all the main spots, with a clean, comfortable room and a great bathroom — the tropical shower was amazing (if you’ve stayed in small hotels, you know how rare that is!). This is a small but perfectly formed hotel, right in the heart of the city. Whilst there is no bar, it has everything a budget hotel can offer, including fantastic views of the Cathedral. I’m writing this short review from my stay last year, as I’m about to rebook the hotel this summer again.

We stayed 2 nights having completed our Camino. Unfortunately we didn't get a room with a cathedral view but our room was a good size with a good sized bathroom. There's no air conditioning but the room did have a fan. We had breakfast each morning which was ok but not the variety we experienced in other hotels. A good place, very closed to Vigo cruise Terminal and well served from public transport. This hotel has the best position to join on board of your cruise and, if possible to travel around Vigo's center.

The hotel staff was very helpful. The hotel location is excellent. The room and bathroom were clean. But the hotel needs a "deep facelift." The hotel facade was very dirty and neglected. The hotel window frames must have been 40 years old. In the bathroom, the bathtub, sink and toilet were also noticeably old.

The location is great, however the amenities might be better. Breakfast was just Ok and could be a bit better

Good location in Vigo, but the hostel doesn’t have any common areas. It’s frustrating when you’re trying to gather your things in the morning without being too loud. There is also no kitchen. Bed was comfortable, bathroom was clean, and there were curtains on the bunks. Only complaint was the lack of common area really.

For the offered commodities this place isn't expensive at all. The room for two where we stayed was tiny, but comfortable. For the price (30e individual bed) not bad (better than an hostel). They provided a place for my motorcycle so that was nice. The room was a bit loud in the morning (next to the street). U need to pay 3€ for the breakfast but it's only a croissant with butter and jelly with coffee or juice. The more expensive rooms have a nice view to the bay, has to be nice

We received such a friendly welcome from Amanda, who made us feel at home. Our room was clean, bed and pillows super comfortable, spotless shower room with nice products and despite being on a main road was quiet at night with a great sea view. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty. Easy walk to the beaches and promenade and into the old town. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Everyone at Hotel Mar del Plata were very friendly and helpful. My room was very clean and very comfortable. And the breakfast buffet was very good with an excellent assortment of fresh fruit, bread, pastries, eggs, ham & cheese and other condiments. And my cafe con leche was always replenished! Great Location near the city centre. We had the economy room with large space and functional equipment. Opposite to the hotel is a private parking garage with affordable costs. Breakfast was delicious with great coffee freshly prepared. Nice and very committed staff!

The accommodation was perfect to our needs and the staff went out of their way to assist us in our stay. Even when a taxi was unavailable to take us to our transfer to Portugal. The staff ensured that we got there on time so we did not miss our transport. A wonderful stay and recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay in Santiago.

This is a very reasonably priced hotel for folks wanting to go to Santiago, but don’t want to spend a lot of money! The only downside is it is about 2.5 km from the city center, which can feel really far if you are a pilgrim like me who already walked really far! The service is great- it’s clean, simple, and a great price for Santiago.

Good overall. You get what you pay for. Its near the stadium, beach, cafes and shops. All within walking distance. Centre of town is about 30 minutes walk away or so. Clean with comfy bed. Private bathroom. Personally, I will choose again for a tight budget quick getaway!

The vending machine not even had water. We arrived late from a concert and there was nothing to drink except Coca Cola and beer. The tv remote control did not work. Couldn’t watch tv.

The biggest selling point of this hotel is the close proximity to the bus stop where people can catch the local bus all the way to the Santiago airport. The bus stop is 2 minute walk from the hotel. Thanks for the warm welcome :) it was perfect to relax after the Camino. Very friendly service! The breakfast was good. The room was small, but Santiago is a busy and expensive place. The only thing I didn’t like was the sink. The water did only slowly exit the sink, so after brushing teeth or shaving it was a mess.
