Stayed at Santa Maria and was disappointed with the sunbed and towel situation. Went down at 9:15 and left down three towels went then and got breakfast and my 3 children ready for the pool, came back down at 10:15 all three towels were moved and threw in a corner. Told reception, they contacted lifeguard and the lifeguard wouldn’t say anything to me just pointed to the towels and said no English. How are people meant to get breakfast or anything if you have to stay on the lounger from the second you put the towel down? So every morning I put the towels down at around 9, go get breakfast very quickly with my family and sit back out on them incase they were taken off again and need to be beside the shallow side of the big pool as I have 3 very young children and that’s what they enjoy most about the holiday is the pool. As I sat out every morning in the shade may I add as those sun loungers don’t get full sun until around 11am or after, I noticed that nobody else’s towels were being lifted? There were towels down at 9 and people still not back near them at half 10? But we were away for just an hour the second day and they were threw off? Don’t understand if that is the rules fair enough but never seen anyone getting there’s threw off the rest of the stay.

Brilliant hotel, great location. Staff excellent and so helpful. Big shout out to the cleaning team, both inside and out, cleanliness is top notch. We only stay bed and breakfast, but there’s a plethora of options, you won’t go hungry. The staff were so kind, they left a bottle of champagne and glasses in our room for my birthday, completely blown away. Forgot to say thank you, had the airport run on my mind, so a very big thank you, meant a lot! WiFi not too bad, could be a little sketchy in places

Not sure why but won’t let me select 5? Booked direct with hotel..excellent communication from reservations! Writing this on balcony overlooking pool, unfortunately we leave today. Returned to the Santa Maria after an excellent stay in January. Requested low floor and pool view as my hubby has walking difficulties. Was given exactly that with added bonus of walk-in shower. Apartment was spacious, very clean and bright. Lots of nice little touches including a bottle of fizz and a card wishing hubby a happy birthday. Lovely letter to thank us for choosing the Santa Maria. Maid service excellence. Nothing too much trouble. From reception to restaurant to lifeguard (struggling get parasol up so he quickly did so for me) to animation staff. Pool guys do an excellent job ..sweeping, mopping and generally keeping pools and surrounding areas a lovely place to spend the day. Food was hot and varied. I’m a fussy eater but never left hungry. Great location. Thank you Santa Maria for a 2nd brilliant stay. Will definitely be returning!

Good three star hotel great location near to bars restaurants and only five minutes to the beach. We stayed in a one bedroom apartment which was spacious and clean. We had a kitchenette with two burner hob microwave and fridge. TV with English channels and a safe in the room. We had half board food was ok but the very reasonable price ment you could go out for meals. The staff are very helpful and friendly. Carlos the manager couldn't do enough for you best manager ever.

Sincerely recommend this hotel. Big rooms, with a kitchen and comfortably located energy plugs, each of them has a big balcony; immediately after giving a complaint about a noise from a pub overnight I was moved to another silent room. Hotel staff is very nice and every time they helped me well - also, when I asked for luggage room and what was a nice surprise there’s also a room for the guests who already checked out of their room to take a shower before travel. Food is good, big choice and everyone will find something for themselves. Nearby hotel is a promenada along the sea, from the hotel you can easily get to best touristic places with travel agencies, like Eide, Maska, or Gomera. Recommend to everybody who’s going to visit Tenerife!

What can I say, another wonderful stay at the Santa Maria. All the staff offer first class service and nothing seems to be too much trouble. Rooms, food and drink are all above the standard of what you'd expect from a 3 star Spanish hotel. Location is where you'd want to be with plenty of bars and restaurants nearby, it's also only a 5 minute walk from La Pinta beach.

We have just returned from a 5 night stay at Santa Maria. Brilliant location food was good although we only had breakfast. The rooms were very dated, but clean! This is my only negative. The atmosphere was great and my 4 year old son had the best time. Claire who is in charge of the kids entertainment was fantastic and could not do enough for the kids. We would return based on this and how much of a nice time we had as a family.

Stayed at this fantastic hotel again as we absolutely love it here.. every time we go it feels like home as the staff are so friendly and welcoming , especially Carlos he’s a star .. Carlos is always smiling , happy and truly professional . He always goes above and beyond to make our holiday special . Room was perfect with pool view and sun all day and we had aircon too . Food is always spot on . Can’t fault the meals at all there is always something to eat and I’m a fussy eater . AI is fab at this hotel all top quality branded drinks and the fact that the nighttime is in the attached Irish bar is fab !!! It’s like going out every night and it’s not like a kids playground and large open area with one serving local drinks that you get in most other hotels . Absolutely love the Irish bar and the wonderful staff in there . Yes there’s a Que for sunbeds but that’s the same in all hotels nothing new and not the hotels fault at all .. due to fly out again in two weeks time and can not wait to join our Spanish family at the Santa Maria x love you all and see you sooooo.

Just returned after 2 weeks at this hotel which was really good. It is in a great location and the views are lovely. We were half board plus so had wine, beer or soft drinks with our evening meal and the price was very reasonable. The food was buffet style and was really good with lots of choice and there was a lovely terrace with heaters to sit and enjoy a drink after the meal. Breakfast was excellent too with plenty of hot drinks machines so very rarely had to queue and the coffee con leche was really good. Both hot and cold food available morning and evening. The room was very clean although a little dated but had everything you need including a full size fridge, hob, toaster and kettle. All the staff were amazing, so friendly and helpful including the cleaners and restaurant staff. Amazing watching the areas around the pool get cleaned every morning, they are so thorough, even mopping under all the sun loungers! Special thanks to Sandra and the reception team who helped us get the perfect room. Also Clare and Ari, great killer pool competitions along with other activities. Will definitely be going back.

Very good staff .We had a really nice meal a couple of nights ago in here .
Eating in tonight but wanted to have a nibble out .
The bread basket with dips and the olives were all we wanted tonight .
Enjoyed them
And booked a table for Saturday .
If you are in the area give it a visit .

Great service from the two waitresses, tapas was reasonable for what we paid but not the best we've ever had. Tried the local red wine which was decent. Probably better than most of the restaurants in this area.

This place is a little hidden gem, I eat outside of the resort as the food is so over priced and rubbish! This however is the best restaurant in the area and I can't wait to come back, being a regular visitor or Tenerife they will come to know who we are...the best thing the food was so good and cheaper then what we expected! Live music also lovely little place.

Breakfast 5/5 for pancakes and full English. Evening meals not so good, Luke warm microwaved ribs were a disappointment. Superb venue mind and worth a visit, I'd go for breakfast if I were you! Have a cooked breakfast if pancakes they lovely!
