First of all, all the hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. The reception staff, the service staff, the cleaning team, they are all very welcoming. We also met the hotel owner, who was very attentive. The hotel's location and the beach are beautiful. Being able to eat fresh fish at dinner is fantastic! The prices are very good. Our rooms are comfortable and spacious. We loved it here. It's a great value for money hotel and the staff are excellent.

Amazing location.. beachfront...just limited breakfast option however it is worth staying. Highly recommended for your trip to Srilanka.

We had a wonderful stay at Peacock Beach Hotel in Unawatuna. The location is perfect — just a few steps from the beach with a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The rooms were clean and well-maintained, and the view from the balcony was stunning, especially during sunset. The staff were very friendly, helpful, and always available to assist us. The food was delicious with both local and international options. We especially loved the fresh seafood dishes. The hotel's environment is ideal for both families and couples. Highly recommend this place if you are visiting Unawatuna — we’ll definitely come back!"

Very bad hotel with completely unhospitable staff. The cleanliness was awful — there were many bugs in the room and even inside the water boiler. The bathroom was dirty, and there were no basic hygiene items like shampoo. The restaurant had a terrible smell that reached the rooms. Don’t be fooled by the “ocean view balcony” — the balcony was full of dirt, with filthy chairs and tables. The beach was also disappointing: it’s not safe for swimming, goes too deep quickly, and there’s trash everywhere. We booked for two days but the situation was so bad that we could only stay for about three hours before leaving. Definitely not recommended.

Drinks on the beach and lunch. Great venue. Food and service were prompt and no cover charge. Unawatuna beach has been developed since we are last here 20 years ago but the beach remains a star.

Best place with superb location and view. They have clean and comfortable rooms with beautiful sea view. Recommended the place to visit by my team and my self.

We stayed 6 nights on the top floor. It was a lovely space with the only hot shower we had in Sri Lanka! Also provided was a small wardrobe, a safe and a balcony which had a great view. The service we received was excellent, especially from Rasika, Pradeep and the manager, who couldn’t do enough for us. Excellent Sri Lankan breakfasts! Wifi not great but we got by. A good distance from the busier end of the beach but an easy walk to all other shops and restaurants. Would recommend!
