I swam at the beach across. I came outside this hotel to wash my feet with the hose they were using to wash their cars. But they invited me in so lovingly 😭 I told them that I’m wet and can’t step inside, they didn’t seem to care and insisted. Rooms are pretty neat and clean. Room view are facing the beach but it's on the other side of the road. Food is average. They had a limited menu option. Anything you ask take a lot of time for service. Mr. Ruban is very amicable and tries to make you comfortable. No sight seeing places near by except the beaches.

Went around 11.30 for an early lunch while on our way to the resort we were staying. The food was prepared in about 20 minutes and each portion was more than enough for 2 people. Clean hotel with a friendly staff. Easy access to beach, actually the beach is foots away from the hotel. You can jump in to beach from the edge of the hotel. Staff was very supportive to find us the safest place to take a bath with kid. You can have a good breakfast, lunch and dinner in the hotel for a very reasonable price while facing the ocean. Amazing location right on the beach. There are some areas in the sea that are safe for swimming and turtles on the beach right infront of the resort. They serve authentic southern Sri Lankan cuisine. The staff was friendly and service was very pleasant.

After a morning at turtle beach we walked up the beach and found Shanthi Beach Resort, the perfect spot for some lunch. We sat overlooking the ocean and ate omelette and prawn fried rice. A nice beach resort. Old resort which should be at least 40 years old. The rooms are neat. Particularly the one close to the beach. The facilities of some of the rooms may be slightly increased as it appears very old. The food is very good and we can have the food in the beachfront. Nice beach view. This is an amazing hostel! It has a relaxed atmosphere and the rooms are really nice. The location is pretty close to the main street and they rent out nice motorbikes for dat trips!

Of course, the hotel staff is very friendly. It's nice that everything is relatively new. BUT!!!! The roosters have been crowing since 3 a.m. And if you're looking for a good night's sleep, this is definitely not the place for you! The road to the beach is across a highway with motorbikes and minibuses racing just 10 cm away, and that's very DANGEROUS!! Consider whether it's worth saving for your safety...

It is a nice place with an affordable price. Next to Galle - Matara road. Almost every room in there are with beautiful sea views. Owner was a very friendly and a helpful person. But the only negative thing I could see was the cleanliness of rooms were not in a satisfactory condition.

I liked the place, it is cozy on the territory, they clean the rooms and, surprisingly, they don’t take tips left on the bed. The villa lacks the option "Order a cook" in order to cook fish from Fish Market :). There was only one minus, water from the refrigerator, price, a dollar per bottle at the end of the vacation for our large family was a surprise)))

The owner is a normal man, and the wife leaves much to be desired. For breakfast, eggs, bread, jam, butter, tea or coffee, AND EVERYTHING. Juice for a fee. There is a kitchen, but they are not allowed to use it for its intended purpose (wife), there is a grill (the story is the same ...) The hotels are clean. Grade "3" only thanks to the hostess. The hotel is not bad.

I urge people to read all reviews and make a balanced decision. There are posts on here from people who have not stayed here. They are local people / guest house owners , who try to rubbish what they see as competition.
