Amazing place for a short stay in Unawatuna with very reasonable prices. The rooms were clean, and comfy. Plus is the large bathroom which is separated from the toilet and great service provided by proprietors Niraj and Dineth, who assured our safety and freedom.
Minus would be the location, find the place in the night is very hard. There was no one around and the road leading to Jasmine Cabanas was very dark and scary.
However, the experience was super peaceful and quiet in the day time.

Very bad experience. First of all, place and especially bathroom is much worse then it is on pictures. Even for Sri Lanka, there are too many insects, especially cockroaches and big ants (which I was afraid may get into my bags and travel further with me).
Don’t recommend for long stay - no hot water, no cleaning (I had it once during 12 days). The road is very dark which sometimes was unsafe.
It’s cheap, but it’s still not worth the money.

This is an amazing hostel! It has a relaxed atmosphere and the rooms are really nice. The location is pretty close to the main street and they rent out nice motorbikes for dat trips!

We had an excellent stay here. The staff was very helpful, they can help you with scooty rental, which you'll need anyway, for good price. The hotel yard is nice and this place is situated in calm neighborhood.

Dirty rooms, moldy bread for breakfast, very impolite staff.
The owner allowed us leave backpack earlier as check-in (around 10am). At the property we met one guy-staff/cleaning guy. He opened us the cabin. We asked him to recommend some nearest bank for changing money. We saw that closest bank is 30min ride. He offered us that he will change us money for ex.rate 200rupees per Euro. We agreed that at evening we will give him Euro and we went to the beach. When we came in the evening room was still not prepared, no towells, no toiltet paper and room was not clean. We complained to the guy and he gave us missing stuff. Then he asked us to follow him on scooter because he had no money to change. After 30min ride we end up at some dark place with him and other guy (he told us that it is his brother) and they wanted sell us rupees for worse ex.rate as we agreed. It was all scam.
We came back to room and went to sleep. In the morning guy find out that we were complaining to his boss about dirty room. He gave us moldy bread for breakfast. We told him that bread is moldy and we are not hungry enymore and we want to leave. Before we left guy was bagging for good reference, because he dont want to be fired.
At the end we are not able to leave reference on booking, because they cancelled our stay.

Best place to stay in unawatuna.friendly staff.. Separate rooms.. Have all the facilities.. Walking distance to the beach.. Calm n quite..
