We love this place!! We stayed 10 nights for our honeymoon. A great location from which to visit the many wonderful sites around the area. The location right next to the beach was perfect. The staff were really friendly and very helpful. The room was clean, quiet and secluded - the air conditioning was a God send! The atmosphere was so welcoming. Nothing was to much trouble for the lovely staff. The food in the restaurant was excellent - a great selection of Sri Lankan dishes which we loved. It was the perfect place for our honeymoon. Finally, it was fantastic value for money. Having eaten at three hotel most nights and relaxed over drinks for the evening we were pleasantly surprised when presented with our bill!! We couldn't recommend this place more highly.

We were fortunate enough to be hosted by the owners for a long lunch. The food was sensational - an excellent mix of Western and Sri Lankan, both seafood and non-seafood. The chicken pizza with an apricot base bew us away - the sweetness complemented the savoury elements was a flavour that I had never had before. The Sri Lankan fish bread (malu pang) fresh out of the oven was great comfort food. Afterwards, we were given a tour of the property. The view is unbelievable: the sea is so close that the waves literally seem to be breaking at your doorstep. A beach is adjacent to the property and I had it from good authority from a swimmer that the water that day was lovely and warm. The rooms (about 12-14 of them) are tidy and large and open out onto the magnificent ocean views. The hosts are our friends, but the stories that they told speak volumes of the hospitability: as guests staying at their hotel, you can be guaranteed of friendly and affable interactions as they go out of their way to make you feel at home. There is no doubt: Sun 'n' Sea = Fun 'n' Glee!

Overall, a good family-type hotel. The hostess often greets guests herself, helps with any questions that arise. The staff is friendly, but slow. The restaurant has decent cuisine. The seafood pizza is especially good (cooked in an open fire oven). The rooms are clean, with minimal furnishings, the air conditioner works great, there is an additional fan on the ceiling. There is a safe in the closet - this is a plus, but there is no refrigerator and kettle - this is a minus. A separate joy is the balcony. Large, spacious, with a view of the sea and the courtyard. Squirrels live in the trees, birds sing around, fireflies fly at night and the surf makes a pleasant noise. The hotel is located right on the beach with fine sand and crystal clear water. Literally at the foot of the hotel there are stones to which sea turtles often swim.
In short, the location is ideal. And we will write off the unhurried service and small shortcomings to the peculiarities of the mentality.

Modern, clean hotel right on the beach. We liked it, and other beaches are within walking distance. We'd be happy to come back.
