The room is unimaginably large, and it is a luxury hotel with a very high cost-effectiveness. The kitchen is fully equipped, and you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of Lunogazha Lake and mountains from the huge balcony

Great location, with an amazing view from the terrace. I stayed in a junior suite for 3 nights. Staff is very friendly, over all great hotel. Gym is super well equipped, even better than some of the "official gym's"

My dream holiday was in Villa Sassa. Delicious and various breakfast (also with healthy and gluten free options). Great SPA, even with group sport activities. Coach lady is very cheerful and positive

2-meter small bed in the living room. For a personal trip, the room is large, convenient and clean. There is an electric stove that can be used for self-cooking. The service staff is very friendly

They insisted we consumed soft drinks and can’t share exactly what drinks we had. After staying at many 5 stars hotels worldwide, we have never encountered such an issue

The hotel is conveniently located close to Milan. The next day, we stored our luggage at the front desk and made another trip to Milan

The biggest issue was the shower — the water pressure was extremely weak, to the point where showering felt like a chore rather than something refreshing after a long day. Soundproofing was also very poor

The hotel is very nice. The location is perfect, you can reach the lake easily by foot (ca. 2min). It is annoying that they charge extra for parking.

Good location in Paradiso which takes 20 minutes leisurely walk to centre of Lugano. Breakfast was great and outdoor swimming pool looked nice for summer

The minibar was free! The room was clean and comfortable, the bed was incredibly comfortable, and the food in the lobby was excellent, with generous portions! The outdoor pool and ping-pong table were perfect for the kids

A wonderful hotel, the location of the hotel is excellent (convenient for walking, and also easy to get to and from the train station by bus). The staff is very nice and welcoming, the food is also wonderful.

The interior is decorated in Art Deco style. It’s about 30-40 minutes walk to the center of Lugano We had a room on the top floor with a beautiful view. In the evenings, you can enjoy a drink and listen to live music

This Italian-style hotel really feels Italian. The people here don't seem like Swiss; it feels more like being in Italy. I feel like there used to be a lot of Italians here.

It takes only a few minutes to walk to the lake. There is free parking and it is very convenient to drive

and last but not least the hotel cat Aki, which means Autumn in Japanese!

Aside from being fairly near the train station and the Italian restaurant across the way, there isn't much nearby. We did hike the trail behind the hotel to the top of the mountain, and that was lovely

The location is halfway up the mountain, very quiet, with a great view, and the restaurant food is very good

This hotel is located on a hillside above the Paradiso train station. It is best to take a bus or a taxi to get up there. It is difficult to go up the slope with luggage

If you are coming to Lugano by train, you just take the cable car for going down the city center. Regarding hotel staff, they are very decency and friendly

Girls trip Our room was upgraded to lake view. Breakfast buffet had many choices and delicious. The room was spacious and clean. Staff friendly.

Great pool, staff, breakfast buffet, location on the water with a floating platform, and landscaping. Room had full balcony with two pairs of French doors. What’s not to like?

The town itself is charming, intimate, and beautifully quaint—much smaller and more peaceful than Lake Como, which we had also considered for this part of our trip. Choosing Lugano was absolutely the right call

I stayed at this hotel for one night on business. It's centrally located, about 5-10 minutes from the lake. Garage parking is available, but the entrance is very steep and narrow

It's easily manageable with a regular car, but with a large car it's difficult and only suitable for good drivers, which is why the price (CHF 20) for a parking space is quite high

There is a local bus that will take you from the train station- CABS ARE VERY EXPENSIVE- english speaking- Do not expect a normal wine pour-😢😢-2 fingers of wine is 15$- buy a bottle instead

We absolutely loved our stay at Ibis Paradiso. The location was very good, the price was super affordable, the staff was wonderful, everything was perfect, the bed and pillows were so comfortable, cleanliness was 10/10

The hotel was clean and the staff were very friendly. It was walking distance to the funicular and the water jet of Paradiso. Great location and nice hotel.

The only drawback is the toilet room which seems to be a prefabricated shell making noise with every move you do inside the shell

It is clean, everywhere, is smells good, everywhere, and the atmosphere feels smooth and modern. The breakfast! The bed is comfortable, the rooms are well equipped and nice. It is located right in the center

Another important suggestion: The hotel doesn’t have a gym unfortunately, I believe they partner with a gym nearby called Gym and Tonic , which is a quite frankly a pitiful excuse of a gym with ridiculous prices

The location is fantastic! Highly recommended! Especially if your luggage is super heavy, as the hotel is right in the atrium after you get off the train and take the cable car – incredibly close, you can walk right to the hotel without dragging your heavy luggage! The breakfast is also very generous; I recommend the kiwi! They also have pancakes, croissants, and European-style bread

Excellent central location with beautiful views of the lake and river. Close to decent traditional pubs and restaurants. Would definately recommend the Tap Bar (Hanger 32) - a self service bar - for both beer and food

The location is absolutely perfect, situated just down the train station, and you could just take the tram and the overall time taken to get to the hotel was like within 1 minute from the train station

The hotel was in center, perfect location. Amenities were provided such as sewing kit, ear buds etc. Coffee machine with coffee pods are well appreciated. And plus a chocolate as a gift at check in

We had a great stay here! The location was amazing as it was so close to the city center of Lugano. We easily walked from the hotel to all the busiest spots in the city

We were lucky enough to have a lovely room with a balcony looking towards Monte Bre The only regret was having to return to our home in Melbourne Australia where it is Winter now and very cold! We will always have good memories of this place and will be sure to return again

We love our stay at Hotel Federale Lugano. The receptionists are very helpful. They even printed us the schedule of buses and helped planning our itineraries to Menagio - Varenna

The breakfast staff was very nice and warm. On the easter day, they gave us Easter bunny chocolate and wishes us happy Easter. Every morning the staff will also make a smile face on our coffee

Again, same person kept pushing to put it on the room when I had told them “No” about a dozen times. Finally, he gave up and left so I could take care of it with the supportive staff at the front desk

We saw a show at the LAC Lugano that evening which was really lovely and the hotel was conveniently located for this, but was quite tricky to find when coming from Central Lugano

The location is great, but the rooms are incredibly small – just too tiny. And the breakfast was really bad too.

This hotel is in a small border town, just a 5-minute walk from the train station. However, due to ongoing construction at the station, many trains are experiencing significant delays and skipping stops

For example, trains to Milan are bypassing this station, meaning you have to wait for the next one, which can be quite inconvenient and disrupt your travel plans

Travelers heading to other parts of Italy might want to consider this. There's also a cable car station nearby for mountain access

Staff! Due to a landslide caused by heavy rains, our party of 4 was stuck in Milan with no way to get back to Lugano
