Had a wonderful stay at Hotel Internationale du Lac. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The location can’t be beat for walking along the lake and general atmosphere. We enjoyed the “honesty bar” and outdoor space, including ping pong. The breakfast was delicious, with the best muesli of our trip and excellent croissants. A truly great historic hotel.

Beautiful amazing hotel near the lake. Upon check in, we were informed that we had been upgraded for our stay to a lake view room. Staff was very friendly, they helped us to get a taxi upon departure. Breakfast was great and the room was beautiful and very comfortable. Would definitely recommend.

The rooms, like other Ibis hotels, were quite small. The front desk was cramped, but the staff were fairly friendly. The location was okay, a short walk to the lake. It was close to the pier, but a bit far if you're going to explore the old town. The room rate was a bit expensive, and parking was also quite pricey.

The hotel was in center, perfect location. Clean and tidy. Amenities were provided such as sewing kit, ear buds etc. Coffee machine with coffee pods are well appreciated. And plus a chocolate as a gift at check in. All was superb. Besides breakfast. It was poor.

It’s on the north side of the train station. We initially exited the station from the south, but then we realized we had gone the wrong way. In fact, there is a direct elevator to the north exit and you can walk there. Beautiful building, nice rooms, rich breakfast.

I think it's the best value for money in Lugano, trains nearbyby are frequent but quieter than US. Bed was hard and I would suggest bringing your own pillow. Staff were ecellent and friendly and the breakfast was limited but fairly priced. It's a difficult uphill, upstair walk from the lake so be in shape.

Timeless summer spot Perfect location in Lugano. The hotel is definitely a bit dated and aged, but in that nice summer holiday family vibe, not bad at all. Breakfast was fantastic. Rooms could definitely benefit from a few more little amenities like extra pillows, a safe, etc.

A little outside of the downtown area, but a short Uber ride away. My room had a gorgeous view of the lake and surrounding mountains and lovely balcony. Very clean, friendly staff and air-conditioning that was a big relief on a hot, humid June day.

The pool area was beautiful with great views. The restaurant was excellent ! I stress dinner there twice. Beautiful and delicious meals. The breakfast was a true continental breakfast but still had options.

I stayed at this hotel for two nights. The good points were its excellent location. My room was on the lakeside, with a balcony and a beautiful view. The heating was good. The bad points were that it's surprising how a hotel in such a beautiful building and location could be so poor. The curtain in the room was sticking out of the curtain rod, the bathroom was very old, the shower system was broken...

Not speaking the language, we were helped with parking and other arrangements. In addition to an excellent welcome, the hotel is traditional and charming. Ideally located with breathtaking views of Lake Lugano.

Really good deal! Next to the station so was very very practical for all our activities. Just a few minutes walking to the center of Lugano or with the funicular. The hotel is situated below the train station, accessible by a steep, zigzag path. The incline made carrying luggage to station challenging.

Lovely Stay! We had a great stay at Hotel Firenze Lugano! The receptionist was so sweet and welcoming, which set a really nice tone for our visit. The location was perfect for us — we walked the Olive Trail to Gandria right from the hotel, and it was a beautiful and manageable distance. Lucca and Lulu went over and beyond to make our stay extra special. Lucca offered to give us a ride to the airport at the last minute when we asked for help since we cannot book an Uber. We arrived at the train station just in time to catch our train to Malpensa airport. Excellent customer service.

Amazing Amazing stay at Bigatt. Staff, room and breakfast were amazing. The view from the balcony was also really beautiful! The only downside is that you need to catch a bus to access downtown, so you need to plan ahead a little bit. But honestly, that didn't bother us. I truly recommend staying at Bigatt if you are ever in Lugano.

A really friendly hotel and personal with a family sphere and a great view over Lugano. Nicolas one of the clerks was really helpful and nice! Rooms are clean and big. There is airco and really good wiffi. The breakfast has an awesome variety (gluten free, vegan etc). There is a nice pool too! The Hotel Colorado provides everything you need to see Lugano and it is a great value for the area. The rooms are clean and comfortable—and while they aren’t luxurious the air-conditioning is fabulous! A functional, simple hotel with no atmosphere for an overnight stay. It is now showing its age and is out of date. For a 3* hotel, it should offer a bit more, but it is good value for money. The rooms are OK and the staff are friendly. Breakfast is very simple, with no great selection. Reception is not always open. We were allowed to check in early.
