Had a wonderful stay at Hotel Internationale du Lac. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The location can’t be beat for walking along the lake and general atmosphere. We enjoyed the “honesty bar” and outdoor space, including ping pong. The breakfast was delicious, with the best muesli of our trip and excellent croissants. A truly great historic hotel.

Right in the waterfront in a beautiful city. Great old charm and the breakfast had many options. Staff at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. And we could store our bags to wander the town

Very cute - right on the Lake- gorgeous views- ICE machine in the Lobby.
Swimming pool was gorgeous!
Very walk able- little train travels around the village- great for orientation. There is a local bus that will take you from the train station- CABS ARE VERY EXPENSIVE- english speaking-
Do not expect a normal wine pour-😢😢-2 fingers of wine is 15$- buy a bottle instead.
High end shopping in the vicinity.
Women alone diners are second class- Do not let them rush you. 😡

Beautiful amazing hotel near the lake. Upon check in, we were informed that we had been upgraded for our stay to a lake view room. Staff was very friendly, they helped us to get a taxi upon departure. Breakfast was great and the room was beautiful and very comfortable. Would definitely recommend.

An amazing hotel with wonderful staff
Wow! What an amazing hotel. It is so charming, is right on the lake, has a lovely terrace and a pool. The breakfast was absolutely delicious. Our room was so comfortable and clean. The hotel gives you passes which you can use for public transportation (busses, trains, funiculars). We took full advantage of that perk!
The hotel staff was outstanding! My husband had injured himself in another city and as time went on, it was clear he needed to see a doctor. The staff not only recommended a hospital, but even called the emergency room to see how long the wait was to be seen by a doctor.
They really went above and beyond!

The hotel has a great location, right by the lake. If you have luggage, it's best to take bus number 4 directly from the train station to the hotel, as the train station is on a hilltop, and the hotel is a 650-meter downhill walk.
The hotel staff at the front desk are exceptionally kind, very welcoming and attentive; importantly, the male staff are handsome and the female staff are beautiful.
After check-in, remember to ask the hotel reception for a free public transport card, as they need to register your information and print it out, then you can ride the bus freely.
The hotel breakfast is good, especially the window seats with a pleasant lake view.
In such a beautiful setting as Lugano, taking a walk along the lake, enjoying the sunshine with relaxed locals, staying in such a historic and wonderful hotel, and meeting such wonderful people is truly a fantastic experience.

It seems to be a very old hotel, but very classic. The outlook, public area and dining area are well maintained. I’d suggest that the room needs to be renovated as it looks a bit shabby.

The hotel is right by the lake, ten minutes walk from the train station. Directly opposite Famous Street LV. Quiet and comfortable. The customer service is polite and enthusiastic. Check in was quick. The room was clean and tidy. Breakfast is rich in variety. You can take a walk along the lakeside as soon as you go out. recommend.
