View over Indian Ocean was magnificent, but no beach was disappointing.
The value and experience per price paid is unmatched. Our room as facing the ocean. We were sleeping with the sound of waves and it was fantastic. In one of the evenings the electricity was cutting off - the restaurant had us placed on the artificial beach, with live music, eating under the stars. I think that the hotel can do better buy giving written offers for the spa to the groups. I really...
I went with my family of 12 people to Azao Resort, the hotel was abserloutly beautiful, clean, and well maintained. The hotel had a lot of entertainment stuff, and the pools are huge. The staff was abserloutly amazing - so friendly , so helpful and very polite. The food (from breakfast, lunch & dinner) was so tasty, and food was plentiful. They even had a barbeque evening over looking the beach...
Location is at the more quiet part of Zanzibar. We didn't stay here, we just came for dinner. Good was good, service was ok, ambience was ok. We enjoyed our dinner. Few veg options but they were really good.
Paid with a card at reception, subject to the extra 3% I assume to cover their bank charges. The menu is in dollars
Honestly the most amazing and beautiful resort. Everything was perfect. The room.. Staff.. Food and resort were beyond our expectations. Staff were extremely friendly and efficient.
I would very highly recommend this resort to anyone. Peaceful and views to die for. Definitely go again
They made my birthday incredible with a home made cake.. So much extra care
Azao is a lovely resort and great place to relax. The rooms were lovely, spacious and comfortable. The bathrooms were also quite spacious but the cleanliness needs some attention (nothing major)
This resort does not have any swimming beach access, the beach that you can access is hard clay like sand with a very low tide some days and not suitable for average beach use
The pool is super deep with...

Had an amazing stay at Nest Style Resort. Truly one for the books! 🌴🙌🏽
The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming at all times. Special shoutout to Salu for always making sure everything was perfect and that we were well taken care of.
Made unforgettable memories and met some wonderful people. Ramadan, Juma, Joyce, and many more who made the experience even more special.
I’ll definitely be...
We didn’t stay there but went for lunch twice! We liked that it had a good range of food options, both local and international, good prices and friendly service. The mango juice is very good!
Beautiful resort, a piece of paradise❤️ thank you for making our holiday so memorable. Had the best time with our kids, Fun in the sun, swimming all day long in the pool and beach…. Endless cocktails and delicious food. Loved everything especially our ocean terrace balcony family suite. So beautiful and romantic. Loved the dhow boats was such an awesome experience. Thank you to every employee who was...
I highly recommend the hotel to people that are looking for a bit of peace and quiet time. Who appreciate the peaceful and dreamy atmosphere. And great dinners and lovely coffee in the morning🙂 The hotel staff is supportive and helpful. Ocean is beautiful in every time of the day. I spent lovely 10 days there and would definitely go back
Highly recommended!!
Beautiful hotel with clean facilities, great staff and a stunning location right by the sea. Special thanks to Mario, the hotel director, for his kindness and for helping us with a flight change issue. Made us feel at home.
Was really good and great service and very quiet and respectful to everyone. But … suddenly the big family came to celebrate maybe around 20 people and was feeling like we were in someone’s party who rented all hotel . Probably they were family of the owner or manager but it was very disrespectful to other visitors 😡 they were very loud and annoying ( not kids ) and they ate on the swimming pool just...

Pizzas were amazing, pool was tricky, I almost drawn, yet saved and enjoyed alot. Very nice and thoughful, purely the touch of zanzibar.
Kenna Beach Resort offers an amazing experience from start to finish. The location right on the beach is perfect, and the atmosphere is calm and relaxing. Rooms are clean, spacious, and comfortable, and the food is consistently fresh and flavorful. Great value for the quality provided. A wonderful place, very cozy and in a great location. A fantastic atmosphere and a wonderful team who made my stay unforgettable. A special plus goes to the resident cats who made our evenings on the terrace even more enjoyable. Asante sana :)
I’dve rated this place 5/5 if it wasn’t for the terrible sound of a constant PNEUMATIC HAMMER, from a next door construction, that starts at 8:35-45 am (everyday! but Sunday) and finished after 3pm (we always left at 3 pm to the beach so I’m not sure of the exact hour). It is extremely inconvenient because it wakes you up in the morning and then you can’t peacefully spend your time by the pool when...
it was a nice place especially the bar and restaurants where we had fun and met new local friends.Big screen for football games darts and pool table kept connecting us and making new memories.
In Nungwi Baobao visit the place to prove me wrong
Beautiful little place to stay with ever-present owners. Lovely breakfasts, smoothies, and dinners. Staff is incredibly friendly, happy, and there. Will be back!
It's an amazing place!! The greenery, the homey-like feel and environment. So, serene!! Best place to rewind and relax.
The owners, Albert and Britta are so welcoming, kind and very involved with the running of the place. We super enjoyed our stay and have recommended to all our friends and family!
The service is friendly and nice. The hotel rooms are clean and reasonable (corresponding to the description). You can walk to the beach and the center of the village in 8-9 minutes, but the road is very dusty and broken.

I spent the last two weeks at the Kivuli Beach Resort and I already miss the incredibly beautiful time I had there. I was welcomed like a friend and felt very much at home. The resort has a very natural feel; the old trees have been preserved, providing shade, and the sound of the wind blowing through the branches creates a soothing rustle. The rooms are spacious and kept very clean, and the bathroom...
What a wonderful experience! Everything was perfect, from the magnificent private villa to the butler and his team. We truly enjoyed the tranquility, the exquisite breakfast with the sea view, and the kindness of the entire crew.
We stayed in the 2 bedroom family villa. Such a comfortable and private stay. Our private butler (Kayphas) was always available to supported our every request with precision. The villa is huge with full kitchen, private pool and the most amazing outside shower in each bedroom.
This property was absolutely magical. If you’re looking for a low key off the grid vibe, this is the place. There’s no Wi-Fi in the room but it’s available in the common area overlooking the beach. However, the level of privacy you’ll receive in your individual room is worth it.
Quieter and less expensive than others in the area but with easy access to other properties down the beach for food, etc. Able to book us transportation to other activities on request.
We stayed here for month in June and July and had the most wonderful time. The rooms are really large with a very big comfortable bed- all the furnishings are high quality. There is a safe, fridge and tea making facilities. The bathrooms are big and everything works really well. Due to some reviews suggesting there aren't safe's we didn't bring too much cash, which was challenging, or laptops- this...

Good breakfast, excellent emplacement and good food
Location is by the sea. Facilities and services are average.
Even the room with no sea view from the balcony (see video) was sold as a sea view room; the check-out time was set before 10 am, which was unheard of; there were a lot of complaints...
Very ok, I will carry your luggage for you throughout the trip
The price/performance ratio is good for an all-inclusive hotel in Zanzibar. The beach outside the hotel is very beautiful. The sunset is super beautiful. I spent three nights happily.
If you like the local style, this hotel is the best among the hotels and is highly recommended. Because it is right by the sea, there will be crows as your companions during the open breakfast. If you are afraid, just sit under the eaves!

The place is clean and great staff however the food at the restaurant is not nice
The hotel is located almost 12 mins from the beach by walking,it has a nice pool surronded by garden. The room is spacious but lacks basic amenities like shower gel or shampoo. The breakfast is horrible, very poor, no varities and not eatable. The owner is a lovely guy though
Well keeped spacious rooms.
Wii-Fi service is unreliable.
Fairly decent hotel rooms were bog with balcony. Aircon and pool onsite. Not far from the beach. Breakfast was ok. Although meals at the hotel seem expensive for the area. $7 for chips yet elsewhere wers charging $3-4 for chips.
Affordable hotel with good breakfast options.Loved the croissants .
Arrived at the hotel to find there was no running water or air conditioning which is understandable given Zanzibars intermittent electricity - particularly given it was new years. Except service was terrible - had to ask several times for water when our room was delayed. Front staff never once smiled or interacted at us, scoffed at our requests for transportation booking. Aluna Paje is very good, good food, beautiful location, very kind staff. We will definitely be back!
This little hotel is a gem in Paje. It's super clean, beautifully decorated, has a breakfast area overlooking the pool, fresh juices in the morning, and very friendly staff. 100% recommended. The only downside is that the Sansibar authorities don't do anything to keep the streets clean; there's dirt everywhere, which detracts a bit from the magic of the place.
Our stay at Aluna was very relaxing and beautiful! from the moment we walked into the reception Khalil was attentive to me and my partner and made us feel very welcome. The pool area is really nice also, we didn’t leave the hotel so much because we enjoyed the relaxation so much. The room was very clean and put together also. The food was incredible and the service was amazing. Everyone took the time to learn our names and even helped us expand our Swahili vocabulary. for the price charged the stay was considered okay as far as F&B was concerned. Food menu was fixed and basic with no nothing remarkable for both breakfast and dinner. rooms were decent and resort was nice otherwise. staff were also polite but language understanding needs more training.

Exemplary beauty. Tranquility at best. Lovely beachfront, sugar white sand. Delicious food and pleasant staff. Highly recommend this place.
Hakuna Majiwe is a safe, clean, and well-maintained location, offering a pleasant living environment. It is advisable to prepare a well-structured budget, as there may be unexpected costs, such as the Zanzibar government tourism taxes. While prices are somewhat higher than average, which is typical for similar destinations, the quality of services provided is excellent and meets expectations.

Xanadu, saved our first vacation to Zanzibar. We had booked 11 nights elsewhere on the Island and checked out after 7 (see Mora report). The food was excellent, especially the coconut curry pasta. I...
Small room with a bathroom of 1m2. The shower hangs above the toilet. Renovation is needed, especially since the power goes out a lot, the water pressure drops and the room doors cannot be locked.
The employees seem friendly, but they are mainly concerned with blaming others.
Beautiful and quiet place. The staff was very personal and friendly, and they all made us feel welcome. Highly recommended!
Lewis was phenomenal in making my stay a great one. The sunrises are breathtaking. Highly recommend as an alternative to the loud beach areas on the island.

Our trip was a fantastic journey into wilderness and pure nature. We had spend a wonderful week with great outdoor activities and exploring the whole island. The staff was very welcoming and warmhearted. We enjoyed snorkeling, tidal walks, forest trails, crab walks and a lot more while learning more about ecological subjects. The cabins were very comfortable and the food was also absolutely delicous
We took the tour around Chumbe Island and had a truly lovely time — the scenery and overall experience were well worth it. The island is beautiful, the wildlife is fascinating, and it’s clear the guides care about sharing their enthusiasm with visitors. One small issue: during the guided walk, the guide mentioned that some baobab trees can live 15,000–20,000 years. From what I understand, that’s not...
Tropical paradise with awesome snorkeling, monstrous crabs, and beautiful birds. Staff were warm and lovely. A day trip is possible, but definitely stay overnight, if only for the Coconut Crab walking tour. They’re nocturnal.
Chombe is a little bit of heaven! I don't know where to begin in my praise for the charming staff, delicious food, interesting activities (Thankyou so much J2) and idyllic setting. A really magical experience.
Best authentic experience! Great snorkling. Eco tourism at its finest. 1 night is not enough. So glad we spent 3 nights there.
Amazing place. You are one with nature. Such ecological lodges, minimal guests, it's as if you are alone on the island.
We spotted sting rays, sharks, star fishes and many many more. The variety of corals is great. Perfect for snorkeling or just a swim.
Recommended staying 2 nights. The forest accompanying the island is great as well.
