Its so authentic hotel
You fell like in old times
Its clean hotel
Breakfast is enough
Workers was polite
Pretty safe area..
GREAT FOR STEPPING BACK IN TIME AND FEELING THE ELEGANCE OF IT ALL.
Recommended hotel, with friendly staff.
Really friendly helpful staff. Great rooms. I’d recommend.
Authenticity
We state in this hotel for a few nights and I was very impressed with the stuff who was friendly and extremely positive in all aspects. This is Africa and I learned very quickly that I have to adjust my expectations to fully enjoy what this place has to offer. Everyone was trying their best to make this stay for me and my mother enjoyable. Every stay has glitches and any of my concerns...
The location is at the quiet side if the Stone Town. Due to it is situated inside a small alley, the directions could be quite complicated and we were lost several times to head back to the hotel. Despite being assured that it's safe, we were tapped by few mischievous children when we passed by a school near the hotel. That said, the room and hotel itself was great. We particularly enjoyed the breeze...
Beautiful hotel with excellent service from the staff. The hotel is nestled away inside Stone Town but we enjoyed being able to walk to the water and not being far from the sites. The hotel room was beautifully decorated. I would definitely revisit.

We stayed at Bella Vista Resort Zanzibar and had a truly wonderful time. From the moment we arrived, we felt well taken care of; especially by Sharleene, the resort manager. She is an incredible person: kind, professional, and always ready to help. ❤️ Definitely talk to her about excursions, she really knows her stuff. Everything felt relaxed and easy: the driver would wait for us, there was no rushing...
I just returned from a two-week stay at Bella Vista Resort. I regret not booking a longer stay; everything about this place is perfect. The view, the atmosphere, the food, and especially the people who work there are incredibly kind and professional. Sherline, the manager, is a wonderful woman who knows the area very well and is always willing to give advice on what to see. I recommend this place to...
This little haven of a hotel is in the perfect location on a small beach set in beautiful gardens. So peaceful and quiet inside and a perfect retreat to get away from the busy tourist places of Zanzibar. The room was perfect with all the facilities I needed. Great value for money and the staff are amazing from Della in the restaurant to Matilda on reception they couldn’t do enough to ensure you have...
Bella Vista was the accommodation I chose to stay at in the south of Zanzibar, and I truly loved the experience. The property is wonderful: the rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the accommodation offers a beautiful sea view. There are two swimming pools: a larger one, perfect for swimming, and a smaller one, ideal for relaxing and unwinding. It is located close to a fishing village that still...
Stayed here during the election troubles &internet shut down (don’t let that put you off, never happened before and elections only every 5 years) &the manager Charlene made it her own personal crusade to make our holiday as unaffected as possible - she went above and beyond fighting for a replacement safari with tour agents when they cancelled and booked things through the hotel as no cash/ card options...
Beautiful place, nice people, welcoming staff. Our special thanks go to Kelvin, a very talanted and extremely helpful young man. The restaurant requires attention though. Most of the items on the menu are constantly out of stock. The orders are being mixed/messed up all the time. But if you are not too picky about food the place would be the perfect fit.

Instant Car Rental Zanzibar delivered the car to a guest at Royal Cliff Zanzibar. When I asked the guest about their stay, they praised Royal Cliff Zanzibar warmly. We at Instant Car Rental were also welcomed very well. Congratulations on your excellent service! We look forward to continued collaboration. Your hospitality and professionalism bring joy. Thank you very much, Royal Cliff Zanzibar!"

It’s a nice place for people who loves quiet places away from the city and a lot of people. The rooms are nice and the food is great if you love spices but they take orders and booking for family outings.

Tucked away, secluded and relaxing. Rooms with amazing views. Good food, private beach, quiet and serenity.
The hotel feels like a home away from home. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. Every meal I ate at the hotel was delicious. I also had a full body massage and felt rejuvenated afterwards. I will definitely be coming back any chance I get.
The Villa Fleur de Lys warmly welcomed us and our 20 friends for our wedding overseas. You will be stunned the first time you crossed the door and see the great view the villa offers you.
Furthermore, Zoe, Mona and Baraka were always available to help us plan our weeding day and trip. All the staff was so kind and professionnal.
Surely we will get back to the villa as this is the perfect place to disconnect...
I cannot recommend this hotel enough. One of the few places that felt human. The service was so warm and friendly unlike many of the other places I've stayed in Zanzibar. So charming, peaceful and beautiful. It felt like staying at home.
Great staff. They are friendly and helpful. Food was good. Lives the weather.. Even the storm was exciting. Went to Makunduchi village. We saw lots of culture and we had local food too. We had a personal driver who was very safe. Will definitely be back
From the moment we entered, the staff was attentive and went above and beyond to make your stay memorable. It offers an intimate and tranquil experience. Very cozy and nice place. Location is perfect and it takes just a few minutes by walk to get to the most wonderful beach. People are very kind and helpful. Rooms are very big which is great! Clean and safe accommodation. Recommend to everyone who wants to experience a nice vacation.
Staff were so lovely and tried to help as best they could. Breakfast was included, and pancakes were a firm hit with the children. The chef seemed to always be annoyed with the staff, not sure why.
Rooms are definitely dated and not the cleanest. We were moved rooms because the AC was broken and there was a bug cemetery in the original room too. Good location not far from Nungwi beach. Good for putting...
Spent a few days last year at the hotel and we loved the experience, it is located at a walking distance to the beach, the food was good. It was a safe place and nicely quite.
We stayed here for more than 2 weeks, the hotel is located near the beach (3min walk) has a beautiful garden and nice pools.
Although Nungwi beach is very crowded you can find your peace in the hotel.
The rooms are very spacious and the bathroom is very neat.
(Gets cleaned everyday)

Clean and comfortable Room space was adequate Very close to the beach a 3 min walk the beach is beautiful you can book your tours from there , the staff are super friendly and the breakfast buffet is good The staff used to offer a takeaway piece of cake to my child everyday
This hotel is quiet and lovely, with big rooms and kind staff, very close to the beach. The food was delicious, for dinner it's possible to have room service. We had some problems with wifi, but the staff was so kind to solve it immediately. We arrived at 4:30am and at first we were not satissfied with room on the first floor, so we got another room after breakfast. We would love to come back again...

This review is at least 10 years late, but Google pics me took down memory lane when we visited the hotel's restaurant back in 2015, we preferred to eat here as opposed to the Double Tree Hotel we were staying that was about a few meters away (pity it's now closed) but the food was absolutely phenomenal, I vividly remember the lady chef (hopefully she's still there) served us like absolute royalty...

Everything about this resort was great, accommodation was very good, big room, with a great shower / bathroom. The food was good, enjoyed the different culture food every night. We met great people, still friends after the trip, we did most of the excursions together. Will be back if we can!
The hotel is beautiful. I had a rest. People are so kind and helpful, always smiling and spreading positive energy. I LOVED the food. Everyday we had something delicious. Soups were my favourite! A Lot of salads and yummy drinks. I want to come back soon again!
Great spot for a restful getaway. All staff very friendly and helpful. This resort seems to be popular with big groups. So you may need to wait a little to get checked in (or get help in general) but don't worry, you will be attended to very soon. Rooms clean and comfy - basic, but what more do you need? It's a beach resort with great weather, so I was only in the room to sleep and shower anyway...
The resort was amazing, perfectly situated on the beach. Drinks were good and lot of variety available. The food was also good despite being a buffet option for the all inclusive package. The only negative was the rooms are not as fancy or as well maintained but it was good enough, comfortable and cleaned daily. Would definitely recommend for a family stay. The evening entertainment was really fun...
the final bill was higher than what we used, so... The check-out time is until 10, although when we ordered in the online system it was written that until 11 o'clock. Staying in the room until 11 was not allowed. The food is delicious, but I saw the waiter putting the food that fell out back into the dish. Some of the staff are very polite, but certainly not all. The location is great, the beach too...
Good value for money, overall quite satisfied

I had a very pleasant time, the service was perfect, I have absolutely no complaints. No further comment needed 🤗
It's a bit far from the city center, but it's okay unless you're on a business trip.
Nice staff
Low season, terrible breakfast. Neighbour hotel chuini saved this stay with amazing lunch and dinner.
Comfty beds.
Friendly staff.
Staff seem to do the best they can despite limitations, very picturesque in itself however was told to get cash to pay for food and expenses as their card machine was not working.
The best Gym I found in an hotel (even a/c didn't work) . The room was enormous, clean and quiet. The Road for getting there Is in bad conditions, as the standard of the Island, excerpt main roads. Breakfast Is simple but good enaugh. Staff very helpful, a nearby beach Is very "authentic" with few europeans. Good experience.
A safe refuge in a chaotic island
The stay was very lovely compared to the surrounding parts of Zanzibar. You sometimes forgot there was a world outside the resort. The staff was very respectful and helpful. Grisham in particular was very professional, reliable, well-spoken with English, and was able to meet all our requests (including having breakfast made earlier than normal for our flight) with...

Everything was great! It's so convenient to be by the beach, the breakfast was very varied and delicious, and the pool was great too
A gorgeous hotel right in the center of events. We had a huge room with a view of the ocean and the port, with a large balcony. The only thing is that it was named after the famous slave trader, Tippu Tip. I didn't understand why, it was awkward.
But the rest of the hotel is wonderful. Very interesting. You can look at the artifacts that the hotel is full of for a long time. There is a swimming pool...
Wide view, large room, clean and sanitary, rich breakfast variety
Very good! Good room, good facilities, good service. Right by the sea, beautiful scenery, convenient.
The hotel is built on an old house. To be fair, it is very unique. Some corners of the hotel are very photogenic during the day, but the shortcomings are also obvious. First of all, the lighting in the house is insufficient, especially at night, the overall feeling is very old under the dim light, and it does not look clean and hygienic enough. However, considering the price, it is still relatively...
Very close to the ferry to Dar es Salaam.
The hotel building is very historic.
The room is large and the sea view is right outside the window.
The breakfast is rich.
The restaurant is on the balcony facing the sea.

I am delighted with my stay at this luxurious resort. I was upgraded from a standard room to a luxurious bungalow with a king-size bed. The breakfast was exceptional and delicious. I thank all the outstanding staff at the resort, especially Frank, the receptionist, and I hope to visit again in the future. Thank you all.
A good place to,good customer service and friendly
A beautiful hotel, the room was incredible, the pool was very nice, the only drawback is that it doesn't have a beach, because the water inside the hotel isn't pretty. They take you to and from the beach, but it's still worth it, staying there for two or three days and going on excursions.
Nice hotel but the beach is terrible. People are hospitable

Work in the hotel not reported and therefore constant noise from morning to night... On our arrival, we had a wrong room for the first night in a room for 2 for 3 with faulty air conditioning which flooded the floor of the room, soaking the suitcases. Table service very average.
Excellent breakfast and a very good all-day menu. We loved the laid-back feel to the place, with wonderful sandy walkways and a pretty garden. It was simple but elegant - and the entertainment was a fantastic extra - we enjoyed live acoustic music, a fire show on the beach and on our last night a drumming show with dancing on the sand. Absolutely perfect.
The location of the hotel is picturesque. The hotel is great for those who look for peaceful and quiet vacation. WITH 11 rooms and full service, it almost felt like a private resort. The food is amazing, you must ask the chef to make you local dishes - these are exceptional. Stuff was very kind, friendly, helpful and attentive to our needs.
We would like to thank to everyone at Natural Garden Hotel. Amur, Olivia, Eric, Samuel, Isa, Ewa, and all the staff took good care of us, and our children. We have stayed 5 days first, than we came back for additional 4 days, as this place offered the best comfort during our 20 days stay in Zanzibar. Breakfast was great, fresh, happy hour pizza, beer, cocktails were a good deal. The pool and the rooms...
From the beginning of our stay till the end we enjoyed every minute. The rooms are very clean, the Garden is groomed and beautiful, the food is delicious, the stuff is amazing and the view is stunning. I will return.
Loved it! That’s the perfect stay if it’s comes to visit the east coast. The hotel is direct on the beach , you ll have an amazing view, the staff is really welcoming and helpful for arranging tours. This stay was honestly something out of a dream. Having a room that overlooks the beach was already incredible, but the private mini pool took the whole experience to another level. Sitting in the pool while enjoying the endless ocean view it truly felt like an infinity escape. Waking up to the sound of the waves and that uninterrupted view of the sea was so peaceful and refreshing. It’s the kind...
Amazing location. This hotel is right on the beach and had an excellent restaurant. The management was extremely kind and went to the pharmacy for us to pick up some medication for sea sickness. This hotel could use some refreshing. My room air-conditioner leaked all over my clothes. But they were very efficient in drying my clothes. One suggestion I would make is that the rooms that are not in...
Requested and got the best room...seafront with the sound of the sea plus the colours of the water made this a very memorable stay.Great pool to be a lounge lizard if desired.Beautiful surroundings and quiet atmosphere.Service and staff exceptional. N.B.It's a one and half hour drive from to/ the airport.Don't let that deter you!
We enjoyed our stay here. The staff was phenomenal and extremely accommodating. If you’re looking for a large sandy beach just steps away from your hotel this may not be your place. There is a beautiful pool overlooking the ocean and a very small and rocky beach area. It was extremely quiet and family friendly! We enjoyed being away from crowds of tourists and vendors. One thing to improve upon is...
Just returned from this great hotel last week, Myself and Wife had eleven nights staying in a ocean front deluxe room which was well appointed with a comfortable bed and smashing views over the sea/reef, fitted our needs completely. The swimming pool area was well maintained and serviced with just a handful of guests on most days offering such a relaxing and tranquil experience, so good that we only...

Had an amazing stay at Hekaya for 3 nights. The rooms, property, service, staff were amazing. The view from the room was the big reason to book this stay, and I was not disappointed at all. The people running this property are so helpful and always are there with a smile, makes your stay memorable. The best thing of stying here was going for my morning walk on the beach early morning during the sunrise...
This was our second stay at Hekaya this year. Jackline gave us a very warm welcome and took excellent care of us throughout our 17-day stay. Her honest and genuine personality makes you feel like you are truly part of the Hekaya family. We would also like to say a big thank you to the entire staff, including John the gardener and Mr. Pool Man 😂 — and especially for supplying us with hundreds of papayas...
Everything about Hekaya Zanzibar is charming. The rooms and bathrooms are very clean and big. Thank you Jennifer for such a great job! The views of the Indian Ocean spectacular! The staff could not be friendlier and accomodating. I wondered if they have okra and I got it! Fresh salads, seafood, meats. Every dinner different. Tariq, Dennis and Mohammed were always friendly and we had some good conversations...
Great location right on the beach, good service and friendly staff. Not many rooms so quiet, but has everything you'd need. Food especially is very good, all fresh produce with a different menu each evening, usually featuring the catch of the day. Recommended!
A wonderful beach experience on the east coast of Zanzibar. The villa itself is set in a small but gorgeous garden, beautifully maintained by John, the gardener. It fronts onto a long, beautiful beach, safe for swimming and with plenty of boats that will take you snorkelling etc. There are several seafront eateries where pole pole is embraced. Small, with only 5 rooms, its perfect for a relaxing...
Here is the English translation: ⸻ It was the holiday of a lifetime, all thanks to the fact that we could spend it at Hekaya. Everything was amazing! The hotel was beautiful and very well-maintained! The entire staff was lovely, extremely helpful and attentive. The view from the window — a dream come true! The beach was like something out of a fairy tale! And the food — incredible! Our taste buds...
