we visited family in the hotel, we were told that we could buy a 1-day pass, I asked exactly if the price included full board including dinner, it was confirmed that of course as hotel guests with the ll in option, that it is worth arriving as early as possible and starting with breakfast. At dinner a waiter came up to us and said that dinner is not included in the price of the day pass and that we should leave the hotel at 6 p.m. This shows that the staff is not trained in the offer, it is a very unpleasant treatment of guests from outside. of course these are selected people, the nicest person from the service are the cleaning ladies and the spa gentleman Egyptian.I think the owner should control the level of service when you have the impression that some people have forgotten that their salaries are paid by guests and they don't do it themselves

Everything about this resort was great, accommodation was very good, big room, with a great shower / bathroom. The food was good, enjoyed the different culture food every night. We met great people, still friends after the trip, we did most of the excursions together. Will be back if we can!

The hotel is beautiful. I had a rest. People are so kind and helpful, always smiling and spreading positive energy. I LOVED the food. Everyday we had something delicious. Soups were my favourite! A Lot of salads and yummy drinks. I want to come back soon again!

Great spot for a restful getaway. All staff very friendly and helpful. This resort seems to be popular with big groups. So you may need to wait a little to get checked in (or get help in general) but don't worry, you will be attended to very soon. Rooms clean and comfy - basic, but what more do you need? It's a beach resort with great weather, so I was only in the room to sleep and shower anyway! Our room was very spacious too. Cleaned daily including mopping of floors. Fresh bath towels will be provided if you leave used towel on the floor, and it seems towels are changed regardless on weekends. Tap water occasionally smells a bit odd, but it's common knowledge that the tap water in ZNZ is not drinkable. The hotel provides unlimited drinking water, plus housekeeping provides small bottles of water in the room and replaces them every day if used. All inclusive meals: Buffet breakfast and lunch options are generally the same every day, but there is enough variety in the meal options. Dinner is themed every night (e.g. Italian, Indian, fusion) so if you stay a week you could have a different meal every night. I noticed that when certain meal options ran out, they were replaced. We occasionally arrived late for meals but there was still enough food for us. For the picky eaters they have french fries and pizza with every lunch and dinner. The a la carte restaurant (additional cost) makes more Western style meals too. The food is good, not excellent but not terrible. Normal buffet I guess! All inclusive drinks menu is fairly extensive. Cocktails are nice but too sweet for me personally. If you have a sweet tooth you'll love them. There is different live entertainment every night after dinner. Enjoy awesome shows by super-talented local performers, tip them well, and be ready for a little dancing afterwards. Some hints: - English is spoken, but a little Swahili goes a LONG way :) - One pillow provided per guest. If you want a second pillow just ask at reception and housekeeping will bring it. - Wi-fi connection can be unstable, and doesn't extend to the rooms - works best in common areas - but this wasn't a problem for me personally. If you do need to stay connected, there are lots of sofas in the reception area where you can sit and log on. - Accept that certain food which is commonplace in your culture/country may not be as easily available in ZNZ. You are traveling after all, try something new! - You can book tours to other parts of Zanzibar through the excursions office on site - boat trips, snorkeling, ocean safari etc. it gets cheaper if more people join a single tour, so make friends and enjoy the discount! - Boutique sells some essentials as well as souvenirs. Expensive (as can be expected). - Plugs: Although much of Tanzania and even Stone Town uses the UK three-point square pin plug, this resort accommodates two-point round pin plugs (perfect for SA phone chargers). Minor issues: - Yoghurt at breakfast is not chilled p

The resort was amazing, perfectly situated on the beach. Drinks were good and lot of variety available. The food was also good despite being a buffet option for the all inclusive package. The only negative was the rooms are not as fancy or as well maintained but it was good enough, comfortable and cleaned daily. Would definitely recommend for a family stay. The evening entertainment was really fun and the highlight.

the final bill was higher than what we used, so... The check-out time is until 10, although when we ordered in the online system it was written that until 11 o'clock. Staying in the room until 11 was not allowed. The food is delicious, but I saw the waiter putting the food that fell out back into the dish. Some of the staff are very polite, but certainly not all. The location is great, the beach too. We bought the tours from the locals outside the hotel gate, it was cheaper and an interesting experience.

I am writing to express my deep disappointment regarding the recent stay my spouse and I had at your resort for our honeymoon.

Upon arriving at Uroa Bay Beach Resort, we were met with a series of unfortunate circumstances that significantly marred our experience. We checked into our room at an ungodly hour of 3 am, only to find it in an unacceptable condition. The room was dirty, with sticky floors and a pervasive unpleasant odor. The state of disrepair extended to the bathroom, where we found a rusted and unsightly shower head, along with exposed electric wiring.

To compound matters, our room was located in close proximity to a construction site that operated with little regard for the tranquility of guests. The noise from grinders and jackhammers, as well as the constant passage of large tractors between rooms, made our stay exceedingly uncomfortable. Despite our immediate request for a room change, we were regrettably directed to seek assistance from our travel agent before any action was taken.

It was disheartening to find that the alternative room provided was no better, necessitating yet another relocation. In our interactions with the resort's owner, we were met with rudeness and a lack of assistance, further exacerbating our frustration.
Equally concerning was the presence of an older gentleman who, as we were informed by your staff, holds a position of authority within the resort. His inappropriate behavior towards the staff is both distressing and entirely unacceptable. (some would say sexual harassment)

Although we appreciate the effort made to salvage our experience with a dinner under the starlight, it does not sufficiently compensate for the overall dismal experience we endured. Our honeymoon, a once-in-a-lifetime occasion, has been irrevocably marred by the regrettable state of your establishment.

The lack of maintenance and care for both guests and the physical infrastructure of the resort is abundantly evident. The garden is overgrown with weeds, and numerous lights leading to guest rooms are non-functional. Additionally, there is a concerning hazard in the form of a wobbling bridge over the pool, and the beach is littered with debris, rendering it far from the idyllic setting we had envisioned.

Moreover, the predominance of Italian cuisine, while delightful in Italy, was not in line with our expectations for a resort situated in the spice-rich environs of the island.

We sincerely hope that this feedback serves as an impetus for improvements that will ensure a more pleasant experience for future guests.
