Palm Garden Resort in Rawai

We spend one week at Palm Garden Ressort while doing our SSI Open Water Diver Certificate with the Sea Bees Diving Phuket. The 3m deep pool is used for the training, but offers also everything to make the stay relaxing and playful while not on the boat or in the ocean. The Pancakes are highly recommended by my daughter and me for breakfast.

I booked it last minute and the guy woke up and gave me a room even though he didn’t have all the information. It’s a little bit awkward to get to, but it’s a spectacular property and the people are super nice.

Wonderful hotel and excellent location
A most wonderful hotel. Rooms are comfortable. My twin beds were rather small. If I book again it will be the room with the queen-size bed. Everything else is excellent. On-site restaurant serves delicious food. Staff is excellent. Outside showers and restroom great for cleaning up after a day of diving. The property is located away from the noise of the road making for a very relaxing stay. Restaurants and shopping and the pier a very short walk away.

Our stay at Palm Garden Resort was absolutely perfect! The room was spacious, spotless, and comfortable, with a fully renovated bathroom, air conditioning, fan, safe, TV, and in-room coffee & tea service. I especially loved the private terrace with seating and a hammock—ideal for relaxing with a book or coffee. The large pool with sun loungers was a dream, and the staff was incredibly kind, helpful, and always available. The restaurant served great food all day, and the resort’s location next to Sea Bees Diving school was perfect for divers. Highly recommend this hidden gem !

The woman working the front desk was amazing. She saw me at the shop after I checked in and offered to take anything I bought back to the resort for me. The pool area and vibe was very nice. The bed wasn’t very comfortable. The pillows were lumpy and weird and the power in my villa went out a few times. Once, at night, when I was in the shower. I had to go to the desk in a towel BUT they fixed it quickly. They also had a mini bar in the room with beer, cola, and water. They tried to charge me for the water, but then didn’t. I always assume the water hotels provide is free. But overall. It was close to Chalong Pier and a shop. The two nights I stayed there were fine. Seems they rent out scooters and have packages for divers to stay there. Would I stay there again… probably not… but if you are a diver do it.

A large swimming pool where you can spend time. Drinks are conveniently available at the bar. The room was brand new and it's really peaceful here. Great staff and a really good restaurant. If you go diving, it's a few minutes' walk to the pier. I recommend!
