Kata Green Beach Hotel in Kata

First time in kata beach so didn’t really know where to stay. This hotel only looked nice on website. It’s old, out dated and needs cleaning and maintenance updates. Huge facilities and one small old elevator. Far from front desk depending on the location of room. Some parts of pool was dirty. Rooftop pool is small but clean compared to main pool. Old, thin towels. Bed and pillows are not comfortable, painful stiff neck and shoulder.Staffs are not very helpful. Oh most important, don’t forget your room key. They will not issue you an other key, instead they will send a house keeping person to go into your room to get a key.(without myself present) For whatever the reason,issuing you an other key is something they can not do. Front desk staffs may sound sweet but basically no information or can’t help you. At breakfast, plates and coffee cups were dirty, stained. Watermelon is good.. Will not recommend this hotel at all. Yes it is about 10min walk to the beach but weather here is always hot and humid so I suggest spend a little more and stay at the beach front hotels please! It is not worth it to stay in this unfriendly , old, inconvenient place. A day after I checked into this hotel and used my credit card to paid, i started to get fraud alert notifications. Same happened to my friend. We used credit card for hotel room charges only but a day later we both started to get fraud charges. Not saying anything to do with this hotel but I thought it was weird. What a coincidence???

So many better options than this place.
The front desk staff is not friendly or professional. The breakfast selection is good but the food quality is poor.
The room smells moldy. The floor needs to be mopped and properly cleaned. The towels are old and need to be replaced.
Overall it’s a disappointment and we definitely won’t be staying here again.

A Nightmare.
Do not go to this hotel.
You may be lured in with pictures from years ago, but please also look at the pictures I took in January 2023.
1) Spiders in the room (see cobwebs in the picture) and dirt all over the hotel (see picture of the lift)
2) The shower was really dirty when we arrived
3) Breakfast is poor, food is plentiful but poor quality
4) The old women at the reception are really evasive and not helpful, always with a fake smile. The other personnel is good, but they look unhappy
5) The organisation is poor (see picture with people's bags kept in a "safe place" - the corridor, where anyone can take them!!)
6) we saw many people complaining, not only westerners
7) the pool is cool but full of animals: I personally saw a VARANE swimming in it!!!

What else can I say? Find a cool place, stay away from this one.

Our overall stay was marked by unpleasant circumstances, such as dirty room, bad-quality breakfast, and unorganised hotel staff. We had spiderwebs in our room and bird poo on our balcony, which wasn’t cleaned throughout our stay. Shower door was very dirty, so was the pavement during our 6-night stay. Ingredients used for the breakfast included low-quality bakery with no taste. Not to mention the massage me and my partner never received - it was included in our price but the receptionists made it impossible to book. Bath towels were old and grey and all the ares of the hotel were full of dirt, dry leaves, and other unpleasant surprises.
