Hotels on first line in Chaweng Beach

Sun bed on the beach can use new mattresses and the resort should get more and new beach umbrellas! Service at the beach bar is very slow so have some patience

Resort can offer more customer service and earn more money if the staff at the beach bar works more efficient and faster

The hotel is quite old, and the cleaning isn't very good. The location is excellent—it's close to a shopping center, and the beach is nice. For the price, it's fine.

Also, at the gym and pool no towels "just wait 20 minutes", but never came. There was multiple sites around the resort that looked like a rubbish tip

Nice hotel. Cleanliness could be better in rooms, sewer smell constantly in the room which is not very nice. Breakfast is average. The staff were polite & friendly.

Security: very secure, there's a key and a safe in the room, and 24/7 security at the front door. Hygiene: Great, the furniture is old, but the cleaning ladies are diligent and do a great job and come consistently

Expectation/Reality: The hotel is past its prime, but the room itself was perfectly adequate. The power outlets are finicky and the wifi is better is some places than others

Overall: Its expensive for Thailand because its Koh Samui, but the location is really good. BEWARE you can hear airplanes fly over head, but with earplugs its a non issue

I give four stars rather than 5 because the pool is not on the beach front so you either lounge by the pool or on the chairs at the beachfront

We stayed with our daughter for 10 days for her 21st birthday in a two bedroom villa with a plunge pool. We had a huge double bed  (which was very comfortable) and my daughter had two single beds in her room

Ordered online the 2 bdrm, plunge pool room for one night. The beds were soft and pillows great. The “master” room had an in ground bathtub (that took a long time to fill but was amazing)

  We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the hotel, the reception staff were lovely, the cleaners all very helpful and the location was perfect. It cost 150 Baht for a taxi to get to central Chaweng which is 5 minutes away

Sometimes we walked back from Chaweng along the beach which took about 30 minutes.   Thoroughly recommended!! Nice oasis out of Chaweng!!

Clean, quiet on shoulder season. Good access to beach if you can climb a wall 😂. Staff all very polite and accommodating. Decor a little dated and shower water leaks into sink area but all still very nice

Five or six front beach villas closed and from the sea look ugly (tight green construction film), why the partial destruction from waves and time the fortifications of the coast from the beach

We had one of the Ocean Pool Villas for our stay. It was clean, bright, spacious, and comfortable. The beach view and easy access to the beach was great

It was very relaxing to lounge by your private pool while feeling like you're on the beach. The majority of the staff are quite friendly and pleasant. Anything we asked of them was done without hesitation or fuss

Pool was great, Small gym but good enough if you want to get a quick workout in! Very happy with beachfront access from the resort. It’s a great location to visit the city and Surrounding area

The location of the resort is down the quieter end of Chaweng Beach which I didn't really mind, but if you want to be closer to the action you may want to reconsider

Stayed from Feb 26 - Mar 5, 2026! Wha a great place with awesome staffs around and great view of the ocean ! Before I came itself asked regarding getting to resort from Nathon Pier - Staffs guided the best way to- shared mini van 200 THB

The rooms are clean and spacious; even though the hotel is a bit older, it’s well-maintained and you don’t feel it at all. The pool is perfect, and the hotel’s private beach is one of the most beautiful I’ve seen

Staffs - no words for their hospitality, at the last day before you checkout you will get emotional for sure because of the love and warmth of these beautiful souls around, to name a few James, Ton, Golf, Som, June , Chef Vijval (V) , Chat, Dear (sorry if I have missed anyone) and of course inspite if the scorching Sun 2 staffs jn day and 2 staffs in night helping us cross the road to other side beach...

The staff at the breakfast buffet and beachfront restaurant were all really attentive and friendly. I can’t remember everyone’s name, but Kae remembered how I like my eggs and always offered to make them that way

I recommend people who likes silence to write that want a silent room(I forgot). The hotel is in front of the beach and has a nice swimming pool

They surprised me with a birthday cake at the beachfront restaurant during my first stay. I was really impressed that they noticed my birthday at check-in

The food at the beachfront restaurant was amazing — two thumbs up to the chef! The receptionists Neel, Music, and Dean were super helpful

Stayed here in Feb for 3 days for a relaxing girls trip whilst travelling around Thailand and it was so nice, aside from a bunch of other ignorant and rude guests in the hotel

The team were so so lovely - I could not fault them, they were so helpful from check in, the transfer, check out, and everything in between thank you so much

For the chills few days we didn’t do much, we laid and chilled and read by the pool. Had lunch by the pool once too - the pad si ew was soooo good, I crave it now I’m back and miss it so much

The resort is lovely, it was beautiful, a few feedbacks I have are that there’s no full length mirror in the room, as the lighting in the bathroom is slightly odd so hard to see properly when dressing up etc

At first the room felt a bit dark😂, but the stafff kindly helped change the lighting and it became much brighter and more comfortable. Everyone here is very friendly and always greets you with a smile

The location was a good walking distance to the main strip but far enough to not be too close to it all. There’s a 7-11 across the road and a few shops, but easy to order food and grabs too

Nid made some of the best authentic food I had during my 3 week stay in Thailand, and Alan was so welcoming and kind to me. We even sat together an evening and had a few beers and watched Australian sports together

You can even rent a moped directly at their property for a really good price. I've seen a few low rated reviews here bashing at the dogs at the property and the cleanliness of the place

Staff too! Breakfast is great, laundry service is cheap and very fast and at first it seems a bit out of the way but get your bearings and you’ll notice it’s actually really central

**Please read this before booking** I stayed at Nid's Bungalows for a week in June 2024, and absolutely adored my stay there - probably the most memorable part of Thailand for me

Saw some negative reviews on here about bugs etc. if you’re not into those then Southeast Asia may not be for you anyway. Will be coming back here next time I come to Koh Samui

The dogs, ducks, cats and birds at the property perfectly encapsulate what life in SE Asia is like - and they are all super friendly - albeit they do bark a bit

This place is so beautiful but be carseful when booking they have a sister resort opposite and my bookings kept getting messed up. The room looks the same and similar. The hotel was able to let me stay

Secret Garden is my go-to place on Koh Samui. All staff are welcoming, friendly and treat me like family. The rooms are comfortable, clean and well-positioned on the beach or around the pool

Three times a week, live music plays, and the entire area (which is very small) is filled with music lovers. There are no empty seats; there are 100-150 people from all the neighboring hotels wanting to visit this place

Whether you like it or not, enjoy it since you've come here. There's no beach line, just 2 meters from the wall to the water, and that's not always the case; the tide reaches the wall

There's a bungalow overlooking the pool (a puddle 6-7 meters in diameter), where there's also a restaurant and a bunch of tables

Very little parking, we stayed in the building, no lift, no staff at the front desk, can cross the street to use the pool and restaurant of the same hotel. Breakfast is very good, lots of choices, enough seats

Excellent accommodation just what you needed, clean and comfortable. Palm trees and away from too much nightlife but near enough 30mins walk to arc bar. Lively enough outside with restaurants 711 and massage places

The resort also helps with fun activities A lovely greengrocer selling fresh fruit and delicious fresh smoothies is really close. Malls and other stores are easy to reach thanks to cheap local cabs

Many breakfast options and a large food & drink menu. You can lay by the pool or relax on a lounge at the beach, both very quiet. The facilities are clean and grounds well kept

Myself & my partner were lucky enough to spend 2 weeks over Christmas at this amazing resort. We stayed in a traditional style bungelow with a sea view that had modern fascilities

Not unfriendly, just not exactly bursting with tropical joy either. 🏊 The pool is actually one of the highlights: small but clean and refreshingly nice

The room was cleaned daily and the towels were cleaned daily also. The owner Valerie couldnt have been anymore accomadating , with extra pillows and water on request , she also arranged our return transfer

Po and the rest of the staff team were friendly and couldnt do enough for you. The food was of the highest quality. The resort itself was clean, relaxed and happy with a chilled out vibe

I booked a deluxe room with sea view. The room was on the ground floor with a view to the pool. Technically, you could see at the very end of the long pool, between the heads of the people swimming, the blue of the sea

The hotel front desk staff were incredibly warm and thoughtful; they even upgraded me to a poolside room. I booked this hotel specifically for its beautiful pool, which did not disappoint

The hotel rooms are very beautiful and of high quality. But the beach is not good for swimming. There are shops around but the location is not very convenient. It is far and access to other places requires a taxi

It is very disappointing to book a sea view room and get this, it is not the room in the pictures. Lightning was awful, very bright. You could have of all light on or none of them

I was pleasantly surprised to see them testing the pool with a pool kit while I was enjoying breakfast one day! The rooms are REALLY clean and it’s quite affordable to stay there for a week, as I did! There is a slight issue with ants in the bathroom but of all the pests, that’s not such a big deal

The air con kept the room comfortably cool but was a bit loud when I was sleeping. The hotel is minutes from the beach and also has markets, restaurants and bars all around so there's lots of choice for night life

They supply a blue loaner beach towel, which I think is nice. It is to be checked out and returned

If you rent a scooter, they have a garage below to park in free of charge!! Almost everyone speaks fluent English so they can help you navigate the island

The youngest girl that works there took one look at me and said, “But are you a guest?” Then one of the women my age said something to her in Thai and she promptly apologized

Location is great, quiter part of chaweng beach but short ride from the main nightlife ( about a 20mins walk). Rooms nice size, clean, maids came daily to ensure all was ok

all staff friendly and spoke relatively good english. Breakfast served overlooking the beautiful beach. Infinity pool which was huge and clean

I have stayed in a few resorts in samui and they were definitely 5 star but the samui beach resort gets a 4 star rating because its beads are like concrete and rooms are very small

Not expensive hotel, first line. Checked in at 8am no problem, breakfast was good. The sea is gorgeous, 2 pools, enough sunbeds. I will definitely come back again.

Admittedly the room could have been cleaner - bed and bathroom was clean however floor needed a mop. The resort itself is very pretty with access to the beach and a decent pool. Breakfast is available but we never had it

As for the location, the hotel, both in terms of Beach road or the beach itself, for me it is the best one. Certainly I would stay there once again if the prices were similar to what I paid this time

For the price, Chaweng Resort is the best in Chaweng beach north side

My stay took place during a period of very low occupancy, so some hotel services were not working, such as beach facilities, or working with limitations such as the restaurant/bar

Chef Anne’s food is exquisite , beautiful breakfast and lunches. I will dream of the fried rice with chicken for many many months after I leave this beautiful resort

Its only real purpose is to sleep the night before an early flight out of Samui Airport. It’s also close to Chaweng beach and Samui Central which is handy

The hotel is conveniently located near the city center, making it easy to get around. The front desk service was excellent, and the room was clean and tidy

The air conditioning worked well, and the soundproofing was good. There's a supermarket and a laundry room nearby. I look forward to staying here again

Walking distance to all activities. In room it’s possible to see airplanes goes to and from airport. Of course it’s a little bit noisy. But nice experience and view for short term

The rooms were lovely but the courtyard is what I really fell in love with, and the pool was beautiful and refreshing. The owner was so kind and helpful. I only got to stay one night but I would definitely come back!

Really loved this place, wished we'd stayed more than one night! The room was huge and beautifully clean. There is a small pool for the rooms to share and kitchenette facilities

I just needed a place to stay a night for my early flight. Found The Nest while searching the internet and it has a lot of good reviews. Everything is basic and to the bare minimum, sufficient enough

But if you have a luggage with wheels, then walking isn’t suitable as there isn’t a proper road. I got a car for 200baht and it’s actually just a 3 min ride 😊. There’s also a nice small pool here

It was a great location - about 30 minute walk to the main pier, 2 minute to a 7/11 and right out on the beach. The property was nice, kayaks and stand up paddle boards available- the staff were very nice and helpful

Had room 106 next to the sea and it was stunningly beautiful. Room was clean, large with a terrace basically on the beach. Toilet door doesn’t offer much privacy but a small price to pay for the hotel location

If you’re looking for a place to stay on Koh Samui that is inexpensive and also has your own semi-private pool (only private in the sense that no one else can use it), give this place a shot

This is the third year I've been returning to this hotel and I really appreciate the kindness of the owner and staff. For me, it's my safe place in Koh Samui!
