Evergreen Resort in Chaweng Beach

We were really disappointed with our stay here, which was especially disheartening as we were on our honeymoon and had hoped for something extra special. We had booked the Junior Suite through Booking.com—the most expensive option available—because we wanted a more luxurious experience.

However, when we arrived, we were taken to the wrong room. We flagged this with reception, and they told us we’d actually been “upgraded” free of charge. This was confusing, as the room we were given didn’t resemble the Junior Suite shown in the photos and didn’t feel like an upgrade at all.

Only after we questioned this did they inform us that the Junior Suite was under maintenance and not in use. This was never mentioned to us at check-in—we only found out after we complained.

As a solution, we were offered a beach-front villa, but only for one of our four nights. For the remainder of our stay, we were placed in a room right next to the restaurant. It was noisy, lacked privacy, and was a far cry from what we had hoped for on such a special trip.

Sadly due to this experience I wouldn’t advise booking with EverGreen. I can say though we thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast and food options at the hotel restaurant and visited a few times during our trip.
