Extremely Disappointed – The President Hotel Lacks Basic Service and Care

I rarely write complaints, but what my family and I experienced at The President Hotel deserves to be shared. From the moment we checked in, it was clear that this place has no sense of hospitality or proper customer service.

When we arrived, no one helped us with our luggage. We had to handle the trolleys and move everything ourselves. The first room they gave us was old, poorly maintained, and felt completely unwelcoming. We asked to change, and while they gave us another room, it also had serious issues the door was broken, there was a sharp metal hook right above the bed where we lay our heads, and the electrical socket had no cover.

I’m staying with my five-year-old son, and these safety issues are simply unacceptable. That’s the reason we had to move rooms multiple times not because we wanted to, but because we were forced to, due to poor maintenance and lack of care. Yet somehow, the staff made it feel like we were the ones giving them a hard time.

The worst part happened when my wife slipped in the bathroom because there was no floor mat provided. She fell badly and had to get five stitches on her arm at a nearby clinic. It was a painful and frightening experience that could have easily been prevented with basic attention to guest safety.

Even after that, instead of showing concern or responsibility, the staff called us the next morning not to ask how she was doing but to charge us 200 baht for a broken glass. That was the moment I realized how little this hotel values its guests. There is zero empathy, zero professionalism, and absolutely no customer service here.

As someone who works in the hospitality industry myself, I truly hate writing negative reviews but this one had to be written. The level of negligence, lack of care, and indifference we faced cannot be ignored.

A hotel isn’t just about walls and rooms it’s about people who care for their guests. Unfortunately, that’s something The President Hotel clearly doesn’t understand. I hope this serves as a wake-up call for the management to train their staff better, maintain their rooms properly, and most importantly, treat guests with basic respect, empathy, and care.
