What a gem of a place. Modern, clean & stylish. We stayed here for 4 nights and explored the island from there. We were well looked after and the room was very comfortable. Be prepared for concrete walls... everywhere but they are clean and polished and help excude a cool feel against the heat of the day. A great base on the west coast (the shore here mainly mangrove swamps) with a very short walk...
Does what it says on the tin. But in the best way, cosy minimalistic rooms, close to the village centre, lovely members of staff and a little bar with a work space. Also parking for scooters. Highly recommend!
Clean, modern with all the necessary amenities and dead in the center of town.
Great value for money, can definitely recommend.
Stayed 4 nights
The property offered a clean and safe place to sleep. It is indeed very simple. My room had a pot for steaming water, but no in room coffee or tea. The price was very reasonable, and reflected the no frill option. For me, Id be willing to up the budget next time for more on site ammenities. The Simple represents good value for a no frills stay.
The simple was simple but we knew this when booking and it was great for a cheap-ish one night after exploring Yao Noi. The room was clean and we had a comfortable nights sleep. Receptionist was helpful booking taxis but wasn’t able to help with much more than this when we wanted to book a tour so you’re best booking that yourself beforehand. I don’t think we met the famous ‘Jackie’ everyone talks...
I’d give it 4.5/5. We stayed at The Simple for four nights over Christmas. The host Jackie s very helpful & you couldn’t ask for a better host. We stayed with our 2 children & apart from them wanting a swimming pool we had a lovely Christmas here. It is very central to the town with 7-11, restaurants and shops. As has been said the beach isn’t close but we hired scooters and enjoyed exploring. The...

The lady manager and staff (Pai and another girl) are very friendly and helpful in providing local trip information.
The hotel is beautiful and the room is nice with a good buffet breakfast.
The room is good. The bedsheets were a little bit dirty. The view is gorgeous. Nice service, massage. The pool is ok, but it seems it’s missing some bushes around(like a wall). There is a feeling that the pool is on the parking, and also there is some market next to it. So it feels there is no privacy.
Clean, spotless but construction noise at poolside overall great
Pillows too soft not 5-star standard.
Room not sound proof.
Curtain not sunlight proof.
5-star but need to improve curtains and wall.
Service is just so so. Hotel is luxurious but Not a present sleep here. Housekeeping cleaning in the morning noise is so disturbing.
Great location, nice hotel with pretty views. Our room was close to the main road, however it was pretty quiet at night. Nice pool and generous breakfast. It would be more comfortable if they provide more than one pillow for each bed. Reasonable priced. Highly recommended and we definitely will stay again on our way back.
Excellent hotel. Convenient parking and friendly service.

Pros: right in front of the beach. Nice bar overseeing sunset. Breakfast was good and staff was nice. You can also rent a motorbike with them.
Cons: room felt very closed and dark and little ventilation. No window in the bathroom. Even though doors and windows were always closed, room was full of mosquitoes. No Netflix or smart TV access. When I enquired about an HDMI cable, they informed they don...
This is a really great place offering excellent value for money. The location is fantastic, next to a calm neighborhood and right on a beautiful central stretch of Khao Lak Beach. The hotel is about a 20-minute walk from the main street, which offers many shopping and dining opportunities.
The hotel also features a beach restaurant/bar, but it is a bit pricey, so we skipped it. However, the hotel...
Definitely not a luxurious experience but fantastic value for the money. Rooms are very comfortable. Also situated right next to The Little Shore which is a phenomenal 5-star hotel that has great food so we went there often to eat.
The breakfast is not great and they don’t have many alternatives for allergies (e.g., regular milk only).
All in all, would stay again for a budget trip.
Ideally located in a Central location. Directly on the beach, lovely beach bar and pool, but relaxed peaceful hotel. Supermarkets, ATM, Restaurants, bars, shops all within easy walkable distance.
A lovely boutique resort on a lovely beach..We stayed in the lovely beach front, pool access room which was small, unusual design/room shape though lovely and clean..A bit hazardous for mobility issues as there are 3 steps up to our bed...There are also 20 steps up to the dining area...Smokers are most welcome as I am sure non smokers as we are welcome too but be prepared for lots of 2nd hand smoke from...
Beds were so comfortable. Breakfast was great. We had a great stay; the lady in reception who tended to work mornings was so friendly; she was always so chatty and kind. The security man was really kind too and always there for a chat too. The only reason for a 4 star on location is because it’s more touristy and costly than I thought (no fault of the hotels)
Great stay and would definitely stay again

Our stay at The Sarojin was wonderful. There was simply nothing that could have been better. Some of our highlights included exceptional food (including a magical all you can eat breakfast each morning), wonderful service provided by the amazing staff members, and beautiful setting. A stunning place of pure luxury. We were only here for 2 nights of our 3 week Thailand trip & were exceptionally fortune enough to not only experience The Sarojin, but receive an amazing upgrade to a jacuzzi pool suite. Room was huge with the best outdoor shower ever! Super comfortable bed, lovely double sink, 2 showers, 2 bathrooms, just fabulous! The beach is beautiful, clean, spacious & you're looked...
Let’s talk about the food, absolutely incredible. Vegans and vegetarians will be happy with this place. They have vegan bread, pastries and butter?? No Buffett at breakfast. Yay!!! Everting is À la carte and made to your specifications. I wish more hotels would do that. The food was perfect And served beautifully. The staff is kind, friendly, and very efficient. Wuth made sure we were given...
We wanted a place away from the fray of Phuket that felt peaceful and the Sarojin delivered. You can walk or run for miles on the beach. I would go for runs in the morning and see 8 other people the whole time. There is a larger resort on the beach next to the Sarojin, but it doesn’t feel crowded and the tranquility of the Sarojin’s environment makes it feel tucked away. The pool is outstanding. The...
The service at this hotel is truly exceptional. The staff are incredibly proactive, often anticipating your needs and having everything prepared in advance. It features its own private beach with incredibly fine sand, and my son had an absolute blast playing with the countless hermit crabs. Most water sports are complimentary, and bikes are also free to use. We enjoyed cycling to nearby attractions...
I returned to this garden resort for another stay. Unfortunately, being the rainy season, most rooms had a strong, musty odor. We had to try several rooms to find one that smelled a bit milder. The hotel does get renovated yearly, preserving its traditional look and feel. Other than that, everything was very good. Breakfast was excellent, as always, and dinner was quite delicious too. It's just a pity...

We arrived at Six Senses Yao Noi after a long journey, looking forward to a special family Christmas and the level of care and quality the brand is known for. While there were positives during our stay, our overall experience was mixed, and much of it came down to room allocation. We had booked a four-bedroom Hideaway Villa for our family. The villa we were initially shown was very dark and set deep...
This was the 2nd stay in Six Senses. My first one was Six Senses Evason, which is said to have been closed long time ago. Then me and my wife were completely satisfied with the stay, so this time we never hesitated to choose Six Senses Yao Noi. How was this stay? It couldn't have been better! Its location is only one of a kind on the planet. Their service was way beyond any of my expectaions! World...
Excellent location and our villa was beautiful with an amazing view. The water pressure and temperature were an issue during our stay. We had to run the shower for 5-10 mins before it got warm. Service was also spotty for a hotel with tons of staff. Waiters would routinely forget our food orders and requesting a buggy/golf cart would take 10 mins. Otherwise, it’s a great resort.
The Six Senses Yao Noi is an experience that can be compared to reading a thrilling tale. No matter the length you will be left wanting more. Unable to believe the story has ended and yet satisfied that you experienced a beautiful and enriching moment.
The hotel is amazing, the nature is incredible and the views are tantalizing. Most importantly though the people working at the hotel are so thoughtful...
We are just coming to the end of our 4 night stay at the six senses and we’ve had the most wonderful few days and can find very few markers that do not get a 5/5 from us. This is a hotel brand we have come to love starting on our honeymoon in Portugal, to Ibiza and now Thailand. The Thai resort has a different vibe to its European counterparts but that is fitting for the location, which is Thailand...
Fantastic stay at the 6S in Ko Yao Noi! The villas offer a sanctuary of peace in the jungle, with beautiful views of the dramatic limestone islands in the sea, that can be enjoyed from your private pool - very romantic.
The food offering is excellent, both western and thai, with a health conscious curation of the menu and authentic thai flavours. My highlight was the spicy pad kra pow for breakfast...

Beautiful location and very friendly service. May require reminders and patience when dealing with staff, but overall still very helpful and friendly.
The most comfortable resort near Phuket! We absolutely loved this place and the staff. The sea was perfect, calm and not wavy at all, although I guess it depends on the season. The service was impeccable; the staff were patient, responsible, and very nice. The environment and facilities were excellent, and the cleanliness was good. One of the best hotels near Phuket. Everything is top-notch.
Wonderful hotel, great service, and very clean. The breakfasts were simply amazing, with a huge variety. The beach is magnificent. There are many restaurants (but they are expensive), though you pay for quality.
It was under management of Marriott Resort and Spa and now it's managed by MVC. They have done some renovations and still more ongoing (though it's well under wrap and we don't see any construction work). There is also another totally new resort being built right next to it. By and large the resort is well maintained and our room is in excellent condition. We enjoyed all the free activities during...

Best resort in Khao lak. Nway is so responsive and helpful she is the best person at Khao Lak ensuring the property runs smoothly.
A good resort with beautiful view and lot of space. As it's the corner most one, the beach almost feels like private .
The rooms are pretty big with balcony.
The also have different kind of stay options with cottages on beach aswell.
The resturant was not opened when we visited.
For food you have to walk till then centre which is 30mins away.
They also do not provide free water.
Resort with the best location and sea view, on the beach!!! Very comfortable lounge and swimming pool chairs! Also a very good restaurant with very affordable prices and delicious Thai food!
Really liked the room’s view (attached pictures), room comfort and proximity to a beautiful beach.
Room for improvement: the restaurant/ breakfast is quite lame (specially Cappuccino, they charged it as a proper one, but it’s Nescafe powder coffee with milk powder).
Lovely sea views, and quiet beach. Very nice pool and comfortable sunbeds. Shower in room was pathetic, with hardly any flow. Restaurant was always empty(they need to advertise on the beach that they have food available)...

Beautiful place to be. We stayed for just one night. Everything was perfect. Directly located at the beach, cozy pool area and peaceful and quiet. The rooms were big enough and clean. Fair pricing. City center in walking distance.
Everything was perfect. The location is on the beach and near a few cool bars and restaurants. The front desk loaned me a mouse for my online work since I'd forgotten mine. Everyone was friendly. Our room was next to a noisy soi, which wasn't too bad with the windows closed, but they have more secluded rooms.
Nice and relaxing place to stay. Clean bungalows, good restaurant, nice big swimming pool and good service. A short walk to center. I recommend this resort.
The room was lovely and the staff at the reception are REALLY nice.
The private beach/lounge area is great but it's a shame that people book their sun-beds for the WHOLE TIME of their holiday (by leaving their towels/bags on the loungers, even during the night). I have never seen that before. So unrespectful and so bad the staff don't say/do anything. Because of that I gave 3 stars and not 4.

Unfortunately my stay here was a mixed bag. On the positive side, the resort is well placed right on the beach and a very short walk to the main street. A clean and quiet place. You need a bike to go to the center but it's close to the pier so if you're going diving in the islands you'll be the last one to be picked up and the first one to reach your bed!

Love the size of the bath but would prefer to have hotter water.
The room is quite spacious; however, the furniture appears somewhat dated. The glassware and coffee cabinet could benefit from better ventilation. It needs repairs, but everything else is great.
I immediately want to get out. The air freshener doesn't mask the moldy smell. The air conditioner is very dirty, the glass on the balcony is broken. Everything is very tired. But the staff is very friendly. There is no access to the beach. The sea is nearby; the noise of a boat engine woke me up in the morning. Breakfast was okay.
Everything is great, all the rooms in the hotel have a sea view in a quiet place. The hotel is suitable for travelers by transport, cafes are located at a distance from the hotel
The hotel is very tired, requires investments and repairs, the location is not bad, but there is no access to the sea at all! You can walk along the road and this is very inconvenient. The rooms are large, but the service is a three, the same can be said about the breakfast... it clearly does not reach even 4 stars.

Very carefree and friendly owner. I only met two cats - both sleeping in the lobby area.
Shoes need to be taken off as soon as you walk in the building.
Rooms were clean. Water pressure in the showers are a bit weak.
Nice located hotel clean and comfy but stay away if you are alergic of cat.
The fact that you have to put your shoes off when you get in the hotel is a minus.

The hotel is unique, but many services are closed, like the bar and restaurant. I stayed for 3 nights, and my room was never cleaned, nor were the towels changed. I had stayed at this hotel before, and rooms were cleaned daily. I don't understand it. It seems like there's a staff shortage, hence the closed services. Otherwise, the pool is very pleasant, and the hotel is clean.
The hotel is 4 km from the beach. It's a convenient stopover if you have a car. We stayed overnight on our way from Phuket to Krabi. The room was large and spacious. There were no toothbrushes or water. The hotel is a bit tired, but clean. The staff was helpful. They even provided an extra pillow upon request. There's a pool and sauna, but we didn't use it. We didn't include breakfast.

It was a nice hotel. We stayed for one night and checked in late. The good news is that the reception is open 24 hours. The bad news is that they started doing some renovations and drilling in the hotel in the morning, which interfered with our sleep. There was no hot water in the shower, so we had to use cool water.

Great location, especially on the beach. The pool and breakfast were nice to enjoy! The 2-bedroom is quite old and separate from the rest of the rooms with very bad WiFi. I’ve stayed at many Kokotels and this one fell short of expectations. There wasn’t a kids area like other ones.

I had a wonderful stay at Koyao Island Resort. The location is absolutely stunning—peaceful, surrounded by nature, and perfect for relaxing far from the crowds. The tented villas are spacious, beautifully designed, and very clean, with incredible views of the sea and the islands.

This was my fifth time staying at this amazing resort, and it truly feels like coming home every time. The staff remembered me right away and made everything effortless from the moment I arrived. We took the boat tour through all the caves this time — absolutely unforgettable. The scenery was straight out of a dream, and our guide made the whole experience even more fun.
We also rented mopeds and...

All reviews highlighting excellent meals and facilities are true. We arrived at the tail end of the rainy season and were not as lucky with the weather as we’d hoped we’d be, but the staff set up a movie for the children on one particularly soggy afternoon, and...

This is an amazing boutique experience on the best island in Thailand. The views, grounds, and rooms were all stunning. The service was great and the restaurant was delicious. We rented a bikes and scooters and went around the whole island. It was truly a breathtaking experience. WARNING: that being said, this hotel has a "connect with nature" concept without fully enclosed rooms, so there will be...
