Great location and close to the beach and bars/restaurants. This was our second stay. Basic bungalows and well priced with nice poolside area

The pool was the best part of this property along with its proximity to the beach……. The room decor was tired but it was kept clean and tidy. Breakfast was limited but tasty but no other meals/ bar was offered. However khao lak is full of great cafes bars and restaurants.

Great location, quiet, basic, simple room. Basic and a bit dated accommodation, for ex no duvet covers and my sheet had a hole in it ( old sheet that should be thrown away) but still clean. The shower has no shower curtains. Bungalow with Glass doors that you lock. The best feat is that it is QUIET at night+ Close to the beach, just across the road! Also only five min walk to where all bars and resturants...

This is our second visit to this hotel and we loved it even more than the first time. The bungalows are spacious, clean, with all amenities and a lovely place to relax in with their own balcony’s. Pool is a great size and really nice to chill by. A small beach for swimming is literally across the road or a very short walk to the main one. The hotel is small. Empty. Detached houses, there is a swimming pool, which I have not tried. The sea is nearby, if through the garbage, 30 m.. The beach is excellent, large, sandy. They clean every day, but somehow stupidly, they take away glasses, then forget towels, then water. Nearby is a 7/11 store, right next to the back exit.. And tuk-tuks. 100 m away is the main street with restaurants, shops...

Great little bungalow, beds comfy, showers pressure had good pressure, nice little patio. Pool looked very clean (didn’t get around to using it unfortunately). Breakfast seemed a bit expensive if you only ordered the toast and fruit but not much else open too early to compete. All staff we met were very friendly

Great stay at this resort. Very quiet and can enjoy your vacation peacfully. Could have informed us the room is getting booked by other people beforhand. We asked 1 day earlier and had to move out and search something else unfortuanetly. Over all great experience.

I was able to book 2 nights here on last minute. The room was comfortable and slept well. My shower did not work properly, but the staff fixed it, even at 9 pm. Nice location. Quiet. Say hello to the solitary snakehead fish that resides in the pond next to reception. :). I would stay here again. I looked the staff. AND there are 15 cats on the premises and they could name them all!

Our 2nd stay at C-nior. Unlike the other review from today we never had any issues with the manager. Always helpful but sometimes he is a bit stressed out and distraught. Helped us get motorbikes and negotiate with the company when we had a small accident with one of the bikes and also arranged flawless transfer to/from the airport. We had an amazing few days at this resort. A family run hotel which had amazing customer service, always friendly and chatty with local recommendations and advice. The rooms were clean, spacious and the bathrooms equally as good. The pool was great especially to relax by in the heat. The beach was around 25mins walk but once you reach it, it is amazing. Would definitely come back here.

We were greeted by Bask as soon as we rolled-up on our motorbike. He swiftly checked us in and assisted us with taking our bags to the room. I don't usually stay at small resorts but this has changed my mind . The staff are wonderful, so attentive and really care about their guests . Even bring around free treats for guests ! I do not ride scooters but walk everywhere. Beach is about 25 mins and bang niang markets the same. 7 eleven 15 mins but closer places to eat on main road if you wish . This was the best hotel we've ever stayed at, despite the really off-the-beaten-path location. The staff were absolutely wonderful, the breakfast was just as great, and the hotel itself was incredibly comfortable. Wonderful 5 day stay at Purana for our honeymoon. The people who staff the resort are so very friendly and helpful. A highlight was the boat trip to Kong Island and also riding around the island in the resort’s Honda scooter with sidecar.

Purana It's boring. You can't walk anywhere. The hotel is on a hill. There is a beach, but no water. Powerful low tides. The water is muddy. Good hotel with a very nice owner. All the basics you might need, good for a couple nights' stay. Around 10 minutes by car from the bustling area of Khao Lak with all the shops and restaurants etc. I'd recommend this place if you have a car or moped.

This little place is hidden away from the main big road but close enough to all amenities (2km). It is a very quiet and relaxing spot. The rooms are spotless and well decorated, the owners are lovely and very helpful. They also have a cat that loves cuddles! We haven't used the pool but it's quite big and clean. Simply a beautiful resort. This year for the second time. Very idyllic location, quiet and far from the hustle and bustle. Renting a scooter is recommended, however, as the facility is not directly on the beach. Breakfast very tasty and varied and the staff is always friendly and helpful. Would go to herbal again and again.

Hotel very well managed. Affectionate staff, always willing to help but not overwhelm. You need a bike because it is removed in the green at 30 meters high, safe from possible tsunamis. The rent to 8 € day To improve the thermal insulation .... In the evenings it is very hot and the a / c can not supply from 3 to 6 pm.

What a gem of a place. Modern, clean & stylish. We stayed here for 4 nights and explored the island from there. We were well looked after and the room was very comfortable. Be prepared for concrete walls... everywhere but they are clean and polished and help excude a cool feel against the heat of the day. Does what it says on the tin. But in the best way, cosy minimalistic rooms, close to the village centre, lovely members of staff and a little bar with a work space. Also parking for scooters. Highly recommend!

The property offered a clean and safe place to sleep. It is indeed very simple. My room had a pot for steaming water, but no in room coffee or tea. The price was very reasonable, and reflected the no frill option. For me, Id be willing to up the budget next time for more on site ammenities. The Simple represents good value for a no frills stay.

The simple was simple but we knew this when booking and it was great for a cheap-ish one night after exploring Yao Noi. The room was clean and we had a comfortable nights sleep. Receptionist was helpful booking taxis but wasn’t able to help with much more than this when we wanted to book a tour so you’re best booking that yourself beforehand. I loved it here. So peaceful and quiet, just the sounds of nature (and sometimes your neighbours). Only 1min walk to the coast and 2min to a waterfall. Le Erawan Phang Nga, Thailand The lady manager and staff (Pai and another girl) are very friendly and helpful in providing local trip information. The hotel is beautiful and the room is nice with a good buffet breakfast.

The room is good. The bedsheets were a little bit dirty. The view is gorgeous. Nice service, massage. The pool is ok, but it seems it’s missing some bushes around(like a wall). There is a feeling that the pool is on the parking, and also there is some market next to it. So it feels there is no privacy.

Great location, nice hotel with pretty views. Our room was close to the main road, however it was pretty quiet at night. Nice pool and generous breakfast. It would be more comfortable if they provide more than one pillow for each bed. Reasonable priced. Highly recommended and we definitely will stay again on our way back.

Hong Was amazingly accommodating to the point where I had left my passport at the Phuket airport. She arrange for a car to get it and reassured me everything will be OK. She is a one woman army and takes care of that place so well. If I can give 10 stars for customer service I would. The place itself is clean, cute, and I feel a bit more authentic than some of the other places around.

This stay was perfect. When I arrived in Khao Lak I didn't like my hotel therefore I found the Shambhala Resort and I was directly in Love with the location. The Pool and the Rooms are perfect. Clean and comfy rooms adjacent a nice pool area. Breakfast was good with eggs of your choice, fresh bread, fresh fruit, juice, tea and coffee. Location is quiet off the main road. It's a bit of a walk to beach but equidistant to the two town centres. We are happy walking so this was no issue to us and it was nice to be away from the road with the hills and jungle as a backdrop.

I really enjoyed spending one night in this cozy and stylish place. The hotel located not on the beach, but has a quiet natural location. The boss was very nice and polite, informed us about attractions around. A sauna was a great way to spend that rainy evening! We'd be happy to stay here again on occasion

Only had drinks and food (on 3 separate occasions). The initial impression was not that great but after we sat there for a while the charm of simplicity and friendliest of staff completely won us over. The food was very good, freshly cooked and full of flavour. The beer was cold and prices extremely reasonable. Well worth visiting.

We didn't stay here so I can't say anything about the rooms. Eating: We ate at Pranees several times, both lunch and dinner. Both service and food were on top level. You will not be disapointed :).

what didn’t I like!!! we wanted a quiet get a way for the family… away from the crowds and noise… and we found it. almost 3km of beach to ourselves. there are 12 bungalows but only 3 or 4 were booked at a time. Pranee herself runs the restaurant with her sister and their sons. the massage ladies (who were incredible) also helped cook in the kitchen. I felt like we were staying at a friends house...

Nice place with very good food really cooked whith love. Today I had Pad Thai with shrimps that was really tasty. Plenty of sunbeds where you can stay in the shade or not. We stayed in a budget bungalow that is a few minutes walk to the beach with very good value for money.

Pranee is one of those “not so hidden” gems on Koh Kho Khao. This small, quaint and affordable beach bungalow resort is perfect for people that want affordable beach holiday with the care and attention to detail that comes with having Scandinavian owners. I didn't stayed at the bungalows but ate every morning there. The place is so nice, the food really good but most importantly Mai is such a nice person, welcoming and smiling every day. And they have the cuttest coffee spoon ofthe island 😄

Amazing bungalow in a great location with scooter hire! The host offers breakfast and this was great to have every morning! The bungalows are really great size with fresh water and towels provided. The host is so lovely and welcoming and helped sort out next travel arrangements.

My wife stayed here 3 nights. It was a beautiful hotel. Staff were very accommodating and nice. Have a huge pool and many walking paths. The beach area is not very crowded and quiet. The daily breakfast was very good. Hotel is walking distance to town and many restaurants. Our room was very clean and bed comfortable. My wife enjoyed big bath tub.
