Hawaii Hotel in Marmaris

After sending an email 4 weeks prior to our arrival to the hotel, explaining we had stayed here before and chose the hotel as it was our wedding anniversary and traveling out with friends and asked for any free upgrades, and rooms either on the same floor or next to each other. When we checked in, we was 2 floors apart and our friends had a partial sea view and our room was small, right nextdoor to the lift, which we could hear, you can also hear above going to the toilet, flushing the toilet, talking, coughing and "other stuff", the shower were small and anyone on the larger size would really struggle showering, we reported a leak on the shower, but nothing got done about it, we over looked the noisey brit bar, we never sat out on the balcony for that reason, which they did turn off the music at midnight. Only a few coat hangers in the wardrobe and when i asked for some more, he brought me 3! We got nothing for our wedding anniversary, but others who had celebrated birthdays and also anniversaries after us, they made a fuss and got cake.... We got nothing. Our friends had a faulty door key which they gave them a master manual key, they had a faulty mirror light and shower door, which was off the runners, which they put back on themselves , we got talking to the previous occupant, and they had reported it and moved them rooms, so why move them to a room they knew needed repairs! Never any cups at breakfast and had to wait for them to be washed. The food was nice, not alot of choice but what was there was nice. The entertainment, well one guy, who liked to go round the younger customers, chatting them up. Same stuff during the day, table tennis and aqua aerobics, then in the evening, Turkish night, bingo and karoake, had live music also once a week. Bingo was expensive at £10 for a sheet of 6, so cost us £40, plus the room raffle which was £10, called bingo and called some same numbers twice, so knew then we wouldn't win! Bar staff, some was ok, some were rude and would rather talk to other people and staff rather than serving. I did at one point, ask why they were talking about me while waiting for a drink, he said he was asking if I needed a fresh glass, but he was clearly talking about me to his colleague. The waiters/ waitresses, again some was lovely. Special mention to halil who was so polite and always came to our table to make sure everyone and everything was OK. Thank you halil. Also sebel, such a lovely young woman, who we only had for our 1st week as she was leaving. Thank you to both of you. My husband cut his foot on the big umberalla wheel which were sticking out, he went straight to reception and reported it, he showed the receptionist and the same day, they had come and changed all the wheels to smaller ones. They said if he was in pain or discomfort to go see them for medical assistance. Which luckily he didn't need. We wouldn't return to this hotel again and it wasn't the same as last time we went.
