Reviews
The rooms are simple somewhat outdated but clean every day.
There is a salad bar but as a vegetarian your dinner stays with fries and salad which is a shame because the food for meat eaters changes every day. And if I ask they say nobody is vegetarian here. Which is really not okay because I paid also for all inclusive and I don't feel included so this is a no go for vegetarians!!!!
First of all, I have never seen a hotel like this before in Marmaris. The towels were dirty, the floors in the rooms were filthy, and the beds were stained. There was no hot water in the bathrooms, the air conditioners were not working, and the ones that did work were leaking water.
Even though there were available rooms, the woman at the reception refused to change our room. I even saw her yelling at an elderly woman. None of the guests seemed satisfied.
The food was terrible. There were flies all over the hotel and in the open buffet. I even found an insect in my food. None of the staff speak English — not the bartenders, not the receptionists — so we couldn’t explain our problems to anyone.
The chefs were behaving inappropriately towards my wife and other women. Despite all these issues, the general manager spent his days drinking tea and playing board games.
The hotel has two blocks, and one of them doesn’t have an elevator. There are no bellboys, and no one offered to help us with our luggage, so we had to carry our bags up to the fourth floor by ourselves.
I definitely do not recommend this hotel. Do not come here!
Bear in mind that's less than £29 a night with breakfast thrown in. Yes there were a few very minor issues with DIY upkeep of the room but these things didn't lessen my enjoyment at all. The room was very clean lots of space, a handy fridge was included, large sliding window/door and balcony, a selection of towels. Really excellent shower, seemingly endless hot water, decent toilet.
Cleaning was daily and very good. One day they must have noticed I had used one of the bath towels on the floor and when I returned that day they had given me a proper floor towel with pictures of feet embossed in the cotton, how sweet is that .
Breakfast runs over quite a long period 7-10am and offers hot and cold food and drinks with slight changes each day. I eat almost everything so I'm easy pleased and filled up for the whole day, just having a supermarket or BK snack in the evening. I have to say the Supreme waiting staff are super efficient and deserve top marks.
Location is great.
BIM mini mart (Family friendly - no alcohol) 1 minute walk
Taxi rank right next to BIM
Burger king 8 minutes walk
Beach 10 minutes walk
Marina 40 minutes walk
Checked in late and dark, couldn't really
See what was going on.
The next day, Monday started to see the disappointment.
"All- Inclusive "
Our room was dated and in dis repairs
"Broken"
The shower cubicle only had on sliding door .. when having a shower water whent out onto the bathroom floor.
Extra towles to mop up water.
The step into the bathroom was loose, definitely trip hazard.
The main light in the room didn't work
Only side light by TV & door working
The toilet rool holder was broken. Sharp metal stub sticking out.
There is no hot water in the shower for 3 days
Only last night /day hot water after
Complaining to receptionist.
If you have mobility problems as in walking
This is not for you .
Differences in levels and the steps are steep. Going down to the bar area and pool
Bar.. if you want to drink the local alcohol
Any branded alcohol and cocktails need to be paid for.
Restaurant .
Food can be hit and miss depending on what the chef is given in the food order.
If you have any dietary requirements
It's hard to translate .. food allergies
The chef does try his best to accommodate you and the head barman
The server are young teenagers, and they are just following orders but extremely helpful.
Pool area
Small pool . Needs updating same as sun roof area above the bar
House keeping
Our rooms clean daily
But you notice that rubbish and left out food trays dont get picked up and cleaned
I complained 3 days about rubbish on sun deck.
Never saw a management untill last day when checking out. Very rude attitude
Spa / Gym dont work stopped two years ago.
After every day complained, some of our rooms were fixed or repaired
Positive
The location was 10 minutes flat walk to beach. & shopping area
2 local supermarkets within 5 minutes of hotel
The agents Martin to book travel day trips or experiences, he was good with local knowledge.
We made it our holiday and what we needed from it.
I would come back to Turkey , in a resort or better class of hotel.
Staff really loverly helpful and loads of fun, genuinely people. Veysel manager, Ali head barman, Serafettin chef, made my holiday .. highly recommended..
Food disgusting ate out from being alinclusive ,,best thing was a portion of the staff were approachable , inclusive finished at 10 pm , if your taking children nothing for them would not recommend
Date 2nd sept 2023
The rooms themselves were very clean, and were cleaned well daily. However, one of our rooms had an issue where the AC was spitting some water out, so we had to move the beds away from the AC in that room. The balconies on the top floor rooms had a very nice view of the mountains. Some locks on bathrooms would get stuck which was very irritating. The top floor hallway stunk of pee on the last day, which was a shame, as the hotel was very clean during the rest of our stay.
The food in the all inclusive was hit and miss. Half the time it was average and the other half it was quite bad. It seems the food was catered to the majority british tourists who visit the hotel, however, a more authentic Turkish cousine would have been nice.
I can't fault the staff at all. They were extremely friendly and would always be willing to help us with any issues and ordering taxis. The staff save this review from going down a star.
The hamam and sauna were not available, however as you have to pay for these, it is not a major issue, and we could go to one outside the hotel. The gym was not available for use.
The outside area of the hotel was very nice and the pool was nice too. Location was also ideal.
Overall, if they improved the food and issues around AC and locks, as well as the smell on the last day, I would be able to give them a higher review. The staff bring the rating up. The hotel is absolutely fine for a 3 star hotel and I would come again, just not with all-inclusive.
