Palmea Hotel in Marmaris

4 star!!! What a joke Bed bugs, rude staff, (not all, the chef and a few others were lovely) had to argue with reception to change rooms, although I had photo of the bug and evidence on the mattress of bed bugs. Another room also had bed bugs (we had 6 rooms in total) Some of our party had things stolen from the locked rooms! Food was mediocre View from our window was a run down building and old washing on the roof below

I booked this hotel through On the Beach for my hen party — 15 of us in total — and it turned out to be one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had on holiday. We stayed at the Palmea Hotel in Marmaris and arrived at around 5am on 3rd October 2025. We had five rooms, and two of them were infested with bed bugs. My daughter was bitten before we were finally moved to another room. Not long after, another room found bed bugs too. When my mum went to reception, the On the Beach rep (Tony) appeared and said he’d “missed our group” earlier in the morning, but instead of helping with the bed bug issue, he tried to sell excursions to my auntie! He didn’t seem interested in the situation at all — shocking behaviour for someone representing a major travel company. The hotel staff were just as unhelpful — they refused to move us at first, even though you could clearly see bug remains on the mattresses. Eventually, they did change our rooms, but by that point, we were all stressed and disgusted. To make things worse, we spotted cockroaches in the hotel kitchen while moving rooms, which says everything about the hotel’s hygiene standards. As if that wasn’t bad enough, I later realised that my watch and 4,000 Turkish lira had been stolen, and my sister-in-law also had £100 stolen from her purse in another room. When we reported it, we were told that the hotel isn’t responsible because guests “sign a waiver” — unbelievable! This was supposed to be my hen party, a once-in-a-lifetime trip, and I spent over £4,000 booking it through On the Beach. Instead, it turned into a complete nightmare — filthy, stressful, and unsafe. The hotel is advertised as 4-star, but it’s nowhere near that standard. I would strongly advise anyone thinking of staying here to avoid the Palmea Hotel and think twice before booking with On the Beach, as their rep offered no support whatsoever when we needed help the most. Absolutely devastated and would never return.

We went to this 4 star hotel!! What a joke! There were 14 of us in 5 rooms. We arrived early in the morning, so went straight to bed. The next day one of the party felt something crawl across her and found bed bugs!! We all checked our rooms, and we also had bed bugs, I found one bug and killed it and loads of bed bug waste in the mattress. When reception came to the room, she said but there’s none here now so it’s all ok!!! I had to argue to get the room changed!! You get one key between 3 people and if you lose or require another key, they charge you £10! We also had thefts from the room, to a pair of shoes going missing to a vivien Westwood watch and £150 On the small print when you sign in, it’s states they are not responsible for any thefts.. so do not want to listen to you. There were some lovely staff (barmen and chef) but the reception staff were mostly very rude and dismissive. We went with on the beach, when I told our rep of the issue and that I was trying to speak to someone from reception, I showed him the videos and the photo of the bed bugs, his main concern was, have you booked and trips or excursions!! I had to tell him that, that was not a priority right now, and he went to speak to another one of our parties to try and sell trips!! No concern or help was provided to help us with the bed bug situation!! Please avoid this hotel… There were also cockroaches in the dining hall . I wish I could upload the video

As soon as got to my room at the Palmea hotel marmaris it wasnt the room we paid for it had no air con next day went for food flys all over it food wasnt cooked then the bar staff was threatening young girls for s.e.x getting them drunk I caught it all on videos maggots in the cutlery tray staff rude bar man ****** towards me threatend my wife who was in remission the list goes on but its not for english and its not safe so I exsposed them.but there all in it together.all-inclusive holliday but food was that bad I payed over 1k on food my boy and misses was scared for there life we had our holliday made bad it was dangerous if anyone would like to see the pics I have feel free to ask i have lots of pics and five days for our shower to be fixed my partner fell in the bathroom because the water was going everywhere pluss they have no fly catchers people dipping fimgers in cakes this is only a little bit theres no entertainment for children

You should be very careful when using the services of a tour operator or buying travel packages including accommodation at the four-star Palmea in Marmaris. You pay for and expect a standard room, and you find yourself in a hideaway on the attic floor - it's hard to walk without hitting your head on the cracks in the ceiling.
The hotel has two swimming pools and also it is very close to the sea but you have to dry your bathing suits and beach towels on plastic chairs - no other way. You have to move the plastic furniture every time to open and close the terrace door. You cannot fully open this door, the width of the balcony is insufficient for this. There is no place to arrange the clothes, except for two special ones, which may be hanging on a hanger in the wardrobe in the hallway. In it, apart from these two clothes, there is space only for shoes (on the ground) and in the superstructure, around the safe, you can possibly put something up there, out of sight. Your clothes must be in the suitcase during the entire stay.
Despite my tour operator's efforts to move me to a normal room, I've been living in this hideaway for the fourth day now. It seems this will be the worst 6-days accommodation in all my life.
And the attic "rooms" aren't even mentioned on the hotel's website, but they exist and people stay there.
