Sota Cappadocia in Uerguep

Super atmospheric with a welcoming and gracious hostess. The room was very clean and comfortable. The food was absolutely amazing. Five stars isn’t enough! Very well situated with a lovely view. I even got to see a balloon land on the ridge across the valley.

Great and unique place ! A bit of paradise !!! Yunus, Nil and the staff are very kind and take great care of you. The location is perfect. The hotel is a diamond in Capadoccia.

My boyfriend and I stayed at SOTA for 3 nights. Absolutely loved our stay at SOTA Cappadocia. From the moment we booked, the experience was seamless and warm, thanks to the incredible owner, Nil, who went above and beyond to make our trip unforgettable. She personally helped us with airport transfers, restaurant reservations, and even curated guided tours tailored to our interests. Her attention to detail and genuine hospitality made all the difference. The staff were equally amazing always friendly, attentive, and willing to help with anything we needed. The hotel itself is stunning, stylish, intimate, and thoughtfully designed, blending modern comfort with traditional charm. Every morning we were treated to an incredible homemade breakfast, featuring locally sourced ingredients and freshly prepared dishes that were both delicious and beautifully presented. It was honestly one of the best breakfasts we had in Turkey. If you're visiting Cappadocia and want a place that feels like home with five-star service and charm, SOTA is the place to be. 5 stars is not enough for this amazing place. The hotel is stunning, carved into the cliff and beautifully renovated, the view from the terrace at the top is amazing. Nil and her team took incredible care of us, breakfasts are freshly prepared every day and offer a great selection. Nil helped us to plan our itinerary every day, giving us tips on where to go, where to eat and sharing some of the history of the region with us. ‘Nil’ is like a secret password to some of the best places and everywhere we went people knew her. What a magical place! Up in the hills overlooking Urgup, with a rooftop terrace taking advantage of the view. Tastefully renovated and spacious rooms, delicious and extensive options for breakfast and best of all, Nil, acting not only as host, but guide with wonderful advice as to sights and restaurants. A great stay!

The term ‘boutique hotel’ is overused, but this gem absolutely nails the concept. Our very best accommodation experience to date in over a month of traveling through the north and east of Turkiye. Owner Nil has created something very special - a home for travelers where they feel both pampered and part of an extended family. Very stylish rooms, superb and fresh breakfast spreads, wonderful local knowledge and tips, and exceptional, discrete service (thank you Yunus - you are a gentleman!). We really did not want to leave, and almost didn’t… Thank you Nil!

We found this little seven bedroom hotel by chance. It's been a great choice. Super nice! Superb view. Excellent bedrooms. Great service by extremely warm and welcoming staff. We highly recommend it. Ciao

Sota Cappadocia is centrally located in the nice little town of Ugrup. Walking distance to the town proper. Nil the owner, took care of us immediately to include our restaurant dinner reservations. Everything was wonderful. The rooms were the original cave houses. Nil took us to the cultural history of the hotel. Showing us before and after pictures of the hotel. Some rooms were the dining hall of the previous inhabitants. Some were chicken coop, and food storage. It was magically renovated into a beautiful hotel. The third floor is the kitchen and breakfast area with outdoor sitting overlooking the town. Yunis, Hibe and Memal were the staff at that time. And they were all down to earth, warm, very accomodating people. Nil arranged for our three day trips with a taxi and driver Erogan. They went overboard with the arranged trips. Thank you Nil for the historical cultural trip. You made our adventure truly awesome.
