I booked Freya hotel 2 months in advance for 6 nights and specifically asked for a twin room. I received a very small double room, and fridge didnt work Only thing they could do was divide the bed into two for first 3 nights. I was moved to a twin larger room 3 days later, which is what I originally wanted. As a ******* VIP member i requested an upgrade but the gentleman in the am was not friendly and very indifferent. However the person present during checkin "Mehmet" was a sweetheart. He went out of his way to improve our stay. The location of the hotel is convenient and the rooms are cleaned well every day.

People are kind but they did not speak english a lot...I did not have gluten free bread the two first day (and the bread werw not good, heat in microwave). our room was in the front side o the street near a bar even if i had asked before a quiet room (a lot of rooms were available). New installations but matresses was not a 4 star level.

The hotel is located 5 minutes from the metro station, tram via the Golden Horn, and underground via the Bosphorus, there is also a port nearby.
The room is clean, cleaning is daily, breakfasts are decent, but if you live here for seven days, they are monotonous.
The staff is responsive.
On the -2 floor there is a swimming pool (free) we swam every day, and a hammam with a sauna (paid 15 euros)

I am giving 1 star solely for the hotel's accessibility to public transport and proximity to various tourist attractions. Other than that, this hotel is far from being a 4-star establishment.
The place is extremely noisy. The music from the neighboring nightclub is unbearable, with the singer's voice echoing until 1 AM. The street is also incredibly loud, with construction work, trucks unloading stones at 1 AM every night, and vendors making noise. These disturbances woke me up every night, and it was impossible to fall back asleep for hours.
The soundproofing between rooms is non-existent: I could clearly hear the plumbing sounds when my neighbors showered or spoke. This is certainly not the standard of a 4-star hotel.
In terms of infrastructure, it's disappointing. The door handles are broken, the rooms are dark, and there's no ventilation. The view is unpleasant, and nothing matches the photos shown online.
The breakfast, served in a basement restaurant, is very limited and unappetizing, with poor service.
Additionally, housekeeping enters your room during your absence, even when you haven’t activated the cleaning request signal. This is unacceptable.

Very good personnel easy to talk to and fast at helping when needed .. great experience the rooms are well equiped close to tramway and metro and traditional and international food places ... close to clothing places both local and international.

Not a bad hotel, good location, 2 metro stations within walking distance, tram stop T1 nearby. The room was much smaller than expected, the breakfasts were monotonous, but cleaning was done every day, there was a small pool and a small gym on the minus first floor.

It was the worst experience of my life! the hotel is located in a noisy place! They gave me a dirty room! the bed full of hair and stains! We found condoms in the toilets! our terrace overlooks buildings opposite and everyone could see the room! no more solutions have been provided to us! It was the worst night I had! I had to stay 8 days I only had 24 hours!
