This is my third time staying at the hotel. The location — in historic Sultanahmet — is unbeatable. It is close to several historic sites as well as excellent Turkish restaurants and shopping places, with wonderful street food. The hotel has its own spa that has excellent a Turkish hamam. The staff is friendly, professional and efficient. Mr. Yunus at the front desk is wonderful. He messaged me before my trip to ask if I needed transport from the airport and arranged it promptly. The rooms are very clean and the complimentary buffet breakfast is excellent. I most highly recommend the hotel and will be staying there on my next visit.

From the moment we checked in the service was incredible. Staff really helpful. Rooms very clean. Hotel in an excellent location around the corner from the T1 tram line. Everything is walking distance and suprrmarket opposite. Abdurrahman was very helpful thank you. Breakfast around 6 -7 hot breakfast items and plenty of other choices. Thank you for a great stay

Stayed here for 5 days, was a great experience. The location is very central and makes it easy to access the main attractions. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable.
The staff was amazing and extremely hospitable. They constantly help you and give you good recommendations on things to do in the area. I want to specially give a mention to Ersin for his amazing service and Ali and Gul who help manage a delicious breakfast.

One of the best hotels! The staff is very friendly, they was really helpful with every detail we were asking. The room was wonderful and the location was great, cause we had everything we needed in 2 minutes distance!!! I truly recommend this place !

This hotel is the perfect place to stay in Istanbul if you want to be within walking distance of everything in Sultanahmet. The hotel itself is amazing, and the staff are even better—very helpful, polite, and welcoming. I would definitely stay here again.

We stayed there as family and we had a very nice time Alhamdulilah. The family connecting room was perfect, very clean. Excellent Location. And the all staff were very kind and nice. Just had a mishap with the laundry, lost one sweater. But otherwise it was worth staying. Highly recommended..

Amazing staff that truly made the stay special. They were incredibly accommodating, helped arrange travels and gave advice on areas/restaurants to visit. When I come back to Istanbul I will definitely be staying here again. Also housekeeping was amazing.

The hotel manager concierge is a very bad attitude. I don’t know how to handle the corporate people and the business people and the regular people how to talk to them and they are very rude.

The hotel is in an excellent location with the Masjids and Grand Bazar a short walk away.
The staff are friendly and attentive. Unlike other hotels I have stayed in, in Turkey, these guys genuinely care about you and don't expect anything in return.
Food is mid tier but there are plenty of restaurants close by.
Rooms were clean, beds were nice and soft however the AC wasn't all that powerful.
I'd recommend and would stay here again.

Really enjoyed our stay here. Staff were very helpful and thoughtful when we arrived and left. Rooms were nice and clean. Breakfast was suitable for our dietary needs and the location to amenities was amazing. Grand bazaar, blue mosque and aya Sofia were walking distances. Managed to do a bosphorus tour while there also! Everything was amazing about Istanbul! Thanks to all the staff at the golden royal hotel for making our stay very pleasant. We will definitely be recommending you to family in the near future and definitely coming again!

I had an absolutely wonderful experience at this hotel. From the moment I arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. The service was impeccable, the rooms were spotless and beautifully decorated, and every detail was thoughtfully taken care of.
The location was perfect, the amenities were top-notch, and the overall atmosphere was both relaxing and luxurious. I can confidently say this was one of the best hotel stays I’ve ever had. Highly recommended – I will definitely be coming back!

I stayed at this hotel with my father for 7 days. The location is impeccable. We stayed in one of the rooms facing the hippodrome and it was really worth it. The breakfast was also very good and varied and the view was just wonderful. But the best part of this hotel was its kind, professional and friendly staff. Everyone, from the ladies who prepared breakfast, to the house keepers, to the receptionists, were all extremely warm and friendly. Mr. Mesut, the manager was incredibly helpful and gave us a lot of good guidance on what to do and see. He was really polite, kind nad professional. I can't say enough about how welcome him and his team made us feel. Next time we are in Istanbul, we will do our best to book a room with them again. 5 stars.

Very safe hotel , with a great location, i was very comfortable living in it because its beside a police station.
Negatives :
- elevator is too small , it can take 3 maximum without the bags
- breakfast is not varied, repeated , everyday the same food, with a very very small changes
- food is too expensive, i bought a Sandwich for 600TL
Positives :
- Ali is a great guy , helped me a lot , i hope for him a good day
- staff is very cooperative and friendly thanks to them
- the hotel takes the customer reviews seriously

What can I say about this hotel, pure hospitality and a must stay when your in Istanbul. Take it from me the service is special especially Mehmut and Sena who always greet you and take care of you whenever you need. Sena especially well done! The breakfast is fresh whenever you need no matter what time you get up. If you need a top up a fresh portion it will be made for you.
