Reviews
Staying in room 206, we were provided an early check in, full tour and a very dutiful explanation of the hotels offerings and recommendations of places to see and restaurants to visit. Eren went above and beyond with providing us with a list of great recommendations and showing us through the city map, highlighting his personal favourites away from the tourist traps.
Greeting us each morning and saying hello on the street when we bumped into him when his shift finished, his hospitality was a real asset to the hotel.
The rooms have everything you can think of, bottle of wine on arrival in the room, full complementary mini bar, all the amineties needed, loafers, shoe horn, polish, fantastic robes, slippers and a lot more. The rooms are decorated as you’d expect in a boutique hotel with a Soho House-esque feel and an unbelievably comfortable bed.
We didn’t have any issues with noise with our room being at the back of the hotel, and for those wanting to explore different parts of the city, I’d thoroughly recommend. The rooftop bar had an international crowd with greats wines and cocktails and fantastic food partnered with great view and attentive service.
For the price I don’t think you can beat it. Great hotel in a fantastic location.
One of the best hotels I’ve stayed at. Everything perfect. Can’t wait to stay again!
Overall, we couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the city and looking for comfort, convenience, and top-notch hospitality!
Amazing stay at hotel. The standout from the experience was the staff. Always so helpful. Sinan on the front desk was lovely and always smiling and wanted to do everything he could to make my stay perfect.
Proper Turkish breakfast was superb on the roof terrace.
The location is great too if you want to experience the city. You can walk across to the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sofia and you have all the delights of Beyoğlu on your doorstep.
I want to come back here with my family and allow them to experience the hotel too.
Cafe and Restaurants near hotel
The rooms have molded floors around the bathroom, smell like mold and the view is non existent.
Bathroom ceilings are molded and when you take a shower the whole bathroom area has couple of centimeters of water. The shower was broken as well.
The beds are on the lower side of the comfort as well and the room isolation is like a cardboard.
Absolutely an awful experience and would not recommend despite the good location. I am leaving pictures so anyone can be a judge (can’t leave the scent unfortunately). It’s a 3 star hotel at the absolute most and don’t know how they got 4… maybe few years ago, but now everything is run down.
The manager Georges repeats 10 times how everything can be arranged and have a nice experience, but actually takes no action at all.
The staff tries to be nice and helpful but does nothing as well, probably because of management.
Note:
As a reply to the comment below, since its not possible to respond. We are free to do what we like stay or not, comment or not. Despite the wrong reservation, i left photos which has nothing to do with the reservation but just showing the real image of the hotel. So everyone can be a judge.
I stayed at Georges Hotel Galata for five nights and had a great experience. The location is perfect: steps from Galata Tower and all the energy of Beyoğlu, with Karaköy's waterfront just down the hill.
The rooms have beautiful high ceilings that make the space feel elegant and airy. The showers are wonderful, and I loved the thick towels and sheets (plus there's a heated towel warmer, which is a nice touch). PRO TIP: ask for a room on the garden side if you can. The neighbourhood is lively and bustling, but the garden-facing rooms are surprisingly quiet.
What really stood out was the service. The concierge staff are genuinely kind and helpful, not just going through the motions. They made reservations at local restaurants for us and gave great recommendations. When I had a plumbing issue in my room, the manager Mr. Serkan personally checked on it multiple times and made sure everything was handled professionally. That level of attention makes a real difference.
Oh, and there's a charming resident cat named Lollipop who adds personality to the place
The rooftop bar has spectacular views and excellent cocktails. If you're looking for boutique luxury with personal service in the Galata area, I'd definitely recommend Georges Hotel.
