Stayed in the penthouse and it was super clean and spacious. Location is superb too with lots of eateries nearby.

Near Taksim Square, it is very convenient to travel. The room is great, very clean, and the equipment is also new. There are complete kitchen utensils, and you can even cook. The bathroom is separated into dry and wet areas. The staff are very nice and enthusiastic. You can also store your luggage on the day you leave. The WiFi signal is also very good. The disadvantage is that the balcony door cannot be locked, which is a little worrying for living alone. As an Oriental, I am a little bit unaccustomed to the breakfast here. It would be better if there was porridge. Overall, it can be scored 95 points. If I come to Istanbul next time, I will choose to stay here again.

We chose from a variety of hotels in the Taksim Square area. We settled on this option because we liked the location (the street is not noisy, there are no bars nearby) and the photos of the rooms. We initially took a basement room, but after 2 nights we asked to change it to a room with a terrace. The basement room is only for 2-3 days, since there was noise from passers-by and cars from the street, and there are also technical rooms in the basement. We had 7 nights and the room with a terrace was much quieter, more space and of course a spacious terrace. Breakfasts from 8.00-11.00, monotonous, but tasty and quite satisfying. Murad is very polite and tactful, in the morning he poured coffee and suggested where and what is worth visiting)

Good, very decent, nice hotel. Very clean, in the room and coffee machine and water. Balcony with a view of seagulls. Nearby is Taksim Square, metro, there are cafes and shops. Taksim Mosque.

Hotel and its annex are 50 metres away on cobblestone roads and both without elevator but rooms are nice and clean. Location is not far from Havaist airport bus stop but the journey involves very steep slope that makes pushing luggage (to hotel from the airport is downwards but to airport is upwards so take note). Both young staff are friendly and very helpful - they assisted me to book a taxi and carry luggage from reception and annex very willingly and with great attitude.

We were taken care of and serviced very well from the first day we arrived at the hotel until the last day in Istanbul, including helping in a difficult situation. Everyone at the hotel was very kind and friendly. Thank you for a very good room for us on the last night after the problem of cancelled flight. Will definitely come back here again.

I stayed at Nippon Hotel during the end of the year and New Year period. The hotel was fully booked, including many families, yet the overall experience was very good.
The service was excellent, the room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, and it fully matched my expectations. Housekeeping and staff support were professional and responsive.
Breakfast offered a good variety of options, and if something was not available, the staff were willing to accommodate special requests, which was appreciated.
The location of the hotel is also very convenient, with easy access to exchange offices, supermarkets, restaurants, and shisha cafés. Overall, it was a pleasant and comfortable stay.
I wish the hotel continued success.

On the first night, I complained to the hotel because I couldn’t sleep due to the heat (in winter time), I was tired then. They were unable to fix the air conditioner, and next morning I asked to change rooms. They moved us to another room that is smaller, for four people, but with better air conditioning. This means I paid for a Family Deluxe room of 35 m² but had to stay in a room of about 20 m². This experience is bad.
I have stayed at three other hotels in Turkey during this trip, and all of them were good. Only Nippon Hotel made my holiday incomplete. I really regret choosing Nippon Hotel; if I had read other guests’ reviews on Google more carefully, I would not have made this booking.

I had a very pleasant stay at the hotel. The property is very clean, and the staff are friendly, welcoming, and consistently helpful. I appreciated the thoughtful touches such as the welcoming fruit plates and Turkish delights, which made the stay feel even more personalized.
The breakfast was fair, with a reasonable selection. One of the strongest aspects of the stay was the team at the reception; they were always attentive, responding to guest requests promptly and professionally.
Overall, a comfortable stay with great service and good hospitality. I would happily consider returning.

Good service overall. In the rooms, the wardrobes are very small. If you plan to go with small children, you won’t be able to enter or exit with a stroller, which really annoyed me. The hotel doesn’t have parking. Breakfast is moderately good.

I just arrived today at 2 PM, and the room was extremely hot. I asked the reception to check the air conditioning, and they told me it was fixed. I trusted them and went out for the day. When I came back around 10 PM, the room was even hotter!
I called the reception again (different shift this time), and the person told me there’s no cold air, only heating, because the entire building uses central AC. Seriously? Every guest has to accept the same temperature? What if someone wants a cooler room? This makes absolutely no sense.
I told him that if they cannot provide cold air, then please refund my money so I can move to another hotel. He told me to contact Booking.com. I did, and Booking informed me that the hotel just needs to send a confirmation email to approve a refund. However, the reception refused, saying that only the reservation team can do that — and they don’t work on weekends! So now I have to wait until Monday, meaning I’m forced to spend two nights in a room at 29°C!
This is completely unacceptable. Poor management, poor communication, and zero care for guests’ comfort. I am stuck here suffering because of their unprofessional system.
Avoid this hotel unless you enjoy sleeping in a sauna!
