The hotel staff are pleasant and kind. The hotel itself is clean and tidy but could do with an upgrade revamp. The rooms are compact and small but they are clean and have the necessary essentials and accessories. To be fair the hotel is worth the value for money no doubt.

Best Hotel I will back again , A clean and excellent place with great service, friendly and kind people, an excellent breakfast, and an ideal location close to everything and very quiet for relaxation and sleep.

The window in the room is just for show; it faces a solid wall. You'll never see daylight, nor stars. It's damp, cold, and dark, as there are only two dim light bulbs. The bathroom fan sounds like it's begging to be put out of its misery, and the shower hose is torn, so water goes everywhere but out of the showerhead. Most importantly, only opt for breakfast here; skip dinner and other meals unless you want to be disappointed and hungry. You'll find cheaper and better food in town. I've even attached a photo of my dinner! This isn't my first stay at this hotel, but it will definitely be my last.

Very very good hotel with kind helpful staff. They helped answer questions we asked and explained things to us. The breakfast buffet is very good and is a good start to everyday. The rooms are good just small but as a whole they’re good. Location is the only issue, to get to any sort of main areas such as Hagia Sofia its at least a 30-40 min journey (walking + metro). And the closest metro is around a 20-25 min walk.
However as a whole very good would definitely recommend and would happily come again.

The hotel is near the bus stop, taxi stand, and airports, though the downhill walk might not be ideal for those with mobility issues. Breakfast and dinner are good and filling, with tea, coffee, and juices available. The rooms are clean, and the front desk administrator speaks both Russian and English.

I stayed in this Hotel in the last week of October 2025. Nice location, close to the central Taksim area. Spacious rooms, spacious bathroos and very friendly staff. Breakfast was also very good. Budget friendly hotel ideal for family stay.

My stay at the Montana Hera Hotel in Istanbul was an utterly unacceptable and deeply disappointing experience marked by severe hygiene and management failures. The problems began immediately; on the very first night, my son developed a significant body rash, which I strongly believe was caused by unclean bed sheets that clearly had hair on them. Beyond the linens, the entire room was neglected, not having been properly cleaned or hovered, but the bathroom was in a miserable state: the toilet was dirty, the shower was broken, and the sink drawer was also broken. Compounding the issue, water constantly pooled near the drain due to a clear drainage problem. Service was equally non-existent, as the dinner included in our package was unavailable. More critically, when I attempted to complain about the missing meal on the first night, and again the next morning regarding the overall abysmal condition, no manager was available to speak with me on either occasion. The complete failure to provide basic standards of cleanliness and the utter inability to contact any form of management makes me strongly doubt this hotel has any oversight whatsoever.

Room telephone was not working. We informed staff, but it was never fixed.
Only one iron for the entire hotel, which was very inconvenient.
Shower was leaking, and the bathroom was poorly maintained with an unclean commode.
The room and carpets were dusty, giving an overall unhygienic feel.
Housekeeping was done only one day out of our 5-day stay.
Breakfast was very poor in both quality and variety.
The photos shown on the website/Booking.com are misleading and do not reflect reality.
No lift to the top floor – we had to carry baggage, stroller, and kids ourselves.
The hotel surroundings were dusty and unclean.
The restaurant was closed during our entire stay, which was not mentioned beforehand.
No child friendly at all.
So don’t go there – save your time, money, and peace of mind. Find another place and save yourself the stress.

I stayed at Nippon Hotel during the end of the year and New Year period. The hotel was fully booked, including many families, yet the overall experience was very good.
The service was excellent, the room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, and it fully matched my expectations. Housekeeping and staff support were professional and responsive.
Breakfast offered a good variety of options, and if something was not available, the staff were willing to accommodate special requests, which was appreciated.
The location of the hotel is also very convenient, with easy access to exchange offices, supermarkets, restaurants, and shisha cafés. Overall, it was a pleasant and comfortable stay.
I wish the hotel continued success.

On the first night, I complained to the hotel because I couldn’t sleep due to the heat (in winter time), I was tired then. They were unable to fix the air conditioner, and next morning I asked to change rooms. They moved us to another room that is smaller, for four people, but with better air conditioning. This means I paid for a Family Deluxe room of 35 m² but had to stay in a room of about 20 m². This experience is bad.
I have stayed at three other hotels in Turkey during this trip, and all of them were good. Only Nippon Hotel made my holiday incomplete. I really regret choosing Nippon Hotel; if I had read other guests’ reviews on Google more carefully, I would not have made this booking.

I had a very pleasant stay at the hotel. The property is very clean, and the staff are friendly, welcoming, and consistently helpful. I appreciated the thoughtful touches such as the welcoming fruit plates and Turkish delights, which made the stay feel even more personalized.
The breakfast was fair, with a reasonable selection. One of the strongest aspects of the stay was the team at the reception; they were always attentive, responding to guest requests promptly and professionally.
Overall, a comfortable stay with great service and good hospitality. I would happily consider returning.

Good service overall. In the rooms, the wardrobes are very small. If you plan to go with small children, you won’t be able to enter or exit with a stroller, which really annoyed me. The hotel doesn’t have parking. Breakfast is moderately good.

I just arrived today at 2 PM, and the room was extremely hot. I asked the reception to check the air conditioning, and they told me it was fixed. I trusted them and went out for the day. When I came back around 10 PM, the room was even hotter!
I called the reception again (different shift this time), and the person told me there’s no cold air, only heating, because the entire building uses central AC. Seriously? Every guest has to accept the same temperature? What if someone wants a cooler room? This makes absolutely no sense.
I told him that if they cannot provide cold air, then please refund my money so I can move to another hotel. He told me to contact Booking.com. I did, and Booking informed me that the hotel just needs to send a confirmation email to approve a refund. However, the reception refused, saying that only the reservation team can do that — and they don’t work on weekends! So now I have to wait until Monday, meaning I’m forced to spend two nights in a room at 29°C!
This is completely unacceptable. Poor management, poor communication, and zero care for guests’ comfort. I am stuck here suffering because of their unprofessional system.
Avoid this hotel unless you enjoy sleeping in a sauna!
