Naumpasa Konagi Hotel in Istanbul

Hotel was good

I can't recommend this hotel for even one night. It's located in a noisy area, and the insulation is very poor. You'll hear the noise and shouts of passersby from the street, and this doesn't stop even at night, as it's close to Istiklal Street. There are trash containers below the windows of almost every room. And if you get a side room, a streetlight will shine through the window. The bathroom door is translucent, so the streetlight will glare into your eyes while you sleep. Any privacy is completely lost, as you can clearly see the silhouette of a person sitting on the toilet. The windows don't open to air out the room. We booked a room with two separate beds, but they gave us a dorm-size bed. The blanket was too small for our liking, and the pillows were too hard for our liking, making it difficult to sleep. The bedspread had a burn hole and a large stain. The breakfast was meager. The only positives are the location for transportation accessibility (near Taksim) and the ability to leave luggage after check-out. The staff is unfriendly.
The room has a kettle, complimentary 0.3-liter bottles of water, tea and coffee bags, slippers (the cheapest kind, they only lasted my husband a day before they broke), and a paid minibar.
