The Artisan MGallery Hotel in Istanbul

The 'city view' room this hotel advertised was a complete scam. When I checked in, I opened the window to find the exact view shown in picture 1 – just a bunch of rooms across the way. I was in a hurry to go out, so I decided to just deal with it. Later that night, after returning to the hotel for over an hour, I noticed the air conditioning was unbelievably loud and there was no off switch (the facilities must be ancient). So, I decided to go to the front desk to ask someone to turn it off. But then, the small lock on my door wouldn't open (as shown in picture 3). I couldn't get it to budge no matter what. I contacted Trip.com, and eventually, the front desk came up with tools to open the door. By then, it was late at night, and my mood was completely ruined, especially thinking about the fake 'city view.' I told the hotel I wanted to switch rooms to one with an actual city view. First, they claimed they were fully booked, then they told me to go check out a room on the first floor, which I refused (what kind of 'city view' could you possibly get on the first floor?). Later, they suggested a room on the third floor. I went, and it was just a street-facing room with only buildings opposite. I wasn't satisfied. So, I told the hotel I'd just tough it out in my current room for the night and would check out tomorrow, canceling my second night. After I lay down again, the AC was still blaring, so I went back down to the front desk. This time, the front desk just took me directly to a room on the sixth floor. And, wow, it actually had a city view, and the AC wasn't noisy! Hahahaha, I was speechless. So, they were just lying when they said they were fully booked earlier? And then, the main event: The next morning, I was about to go out for breakfast and discovered that the small lock on this room (picture 3) also wouldn't open. At that moment... I completely broke down. I was traveling alone, paying over a thousand yuan for a hotel, expecting a city view, and all I got was this hassle. I'm so over it. I contacted Trip.com again and waited for 20-30 minutes. Trip.com said the front desk wasn't answering their calls. I tried calling the front desk from my room's landline and found out the landline was broken. This hotel has old facilities, terrible service, and is suspected of false advertising. If it weren't for wanting a city view, I would never have booked this hotel. Also, the front desk service was inconsistent. The attitude of the front desk staff I encountered on the first day and the second day was a world apart. So cold and indifferent. I'm truly fed up. But thankfully, Trip.com's after-sales service was good; they helped me cancel the second night and even compensated me with 20,000 points. All in all, avoid this place. Only a select few rooms actually have a city view. If it doesn't have a city view, this hotel is just incredibly poor value for money. The breakfast was also terrible, and the fish was incredibly, incredibly fishy.
