Friendly reception and great location. Just 10 mins walk to the mosques in Istanbulold town, and 10 mins walk to Eminönü Harbour.

Breakfast was turkish style with hot beverage. Nice food to start the day.

A wonderful hotel! Stylish, fresh, and comfortable! It's a bit noisy with the windows open, but the location is fantastic! It's close to the wonderful Gülhane Park, a tram stop, and a view of Hagia Sophia from our room! We had two rooms: #66 on the third floor and #222 on the fifth floor—one more beautiful and appealing than the other. The fifth-floor room overlooked a quiet alley, while the third-floor room overlooked a small but busy street. Since we prefer not to use air conditioning, and the weather in late October and early November allows us to leave the windows wide open, it was quite noisy, but closing the windows solves the problem. The staff was very kind and attentive and even allowed us to leave our suitcases at the hotel before and after checkout so we could explore further. The cleaning was excellent, and the traditional Turkish breakfast was hearty and varied. The hotel has a unique elevator—you'll want to take a video while you're climbing to your floor, but we often found ourselves running up and down the stairs. We're very happy with our choice. It’s a nice hotel in the heart of Istanbul. Rooms are just fine. Beds are comfortable. There is a minibar. Our first assigned room had a broken AC, so we got another room with a working AC. Staff is nice. There is a parking (street parking) right in front of the hotel. Staff provide help with the parking.

The hotel and the furniture is a bit old but it’s okay. There is no variety or much choice in breakfast. We just got small turkish breakfast with some eggs, cheese, olives, bread, honey, butter, and a few more creamy sides.

Pros: Close to attractions and 3 minutes from the metro entrance. There's an elevator, but you have to climb 6 steps to get there.
Cons: Upon arrival, we waited 20 minutes for anyone at reception. The room is tiny. The bathroom door, visible from the bed, is frosted glass. The WiFi is weak. Breakfast is strictly from 8 a.m., and I won't even get you coffee any earlier (we left at 7 a.m.). The room is on the second floor, with floor-to-ceiling windows: Noisy from the street. And the main drawback: the pillows are HIGH AND OAK. THERE ARE NO BLANKETS IN THE ROOM, ONLY ONE 1.5-PIECE COTTON BLANKET FOR A DOUBLE BED.

Hotel with an excellent location. A boutique hotel, not luxurious but with everything you need for your stay. Breakfast is a set menu (typical Turkish) but with generous portions and a slightly different selection each day.

The hotel is located in the historic center, within walking distance of the main attractions. The design is interesting, and both the room and the lobby are clean and beautiful. The room is a bit dark, perhaps due to the designer's dim lighting and black and red decor. The staff is friendly.

The location is the best, 5 minutes to Sultanahmet Square. The hotel is very beautiful, it is obvious that the interiors were chosen with love. A big plus is that there is a balcony, I had a hard time finding a hotel with a balcony in Istanbul. Of the minuses, the hotel is tired. The balcony needs restoration. And despite all the beauty in the room, there is not enough light. It is clear that this is how it was intended, but it is almost impossible to do makeup.

We stayed at the hotel in January 2025. We liked everything, the staff is polite, always ready to help. The rooms are clean, the breakfasts are delicious, the composition is approximately the same, but the serving is different every day. The location is ideal, there is a tram stop nearby, but you can barely hear it, all the main attractions, cafes, shops, exchange offices and a park are within walking distance.

A Perfect Stay at Hypnos Design Hotel

We had an amazing stay at Hypnos Design Hotel! Its location is simply unbeatable—right next to the tram, making it super convenient to explore Istanbul’s top tourist attractions. It’s just a short walk to Sultanahmet and Sirkeci, two lively and secure neighborhoods where you’ll never get bored. The area is animated yet safe, with a visible police presence and security cameras everywhere.

Upon arrival, the receptionist Engin warmly welcomed us and gave us a helpful explanation of the city. A special thanks to him 🤩who provided us with a detailed debrief and a map to guide us through the must-see tourist attractions. He also generously invited us for a delicious coffee and tea—a gesture we truly appreciated.

The breakfast was another highlight of our stay: a generous and delicious Turkish breakfast that left us completely satisfied every morning.

The rooms were impeccably clean, well-designed, and comfortable. Our room’s theme was inspired by Turkish series, which added a unique touch to our experience.

Lastly, we want to give a big shoutout to Engin who went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Engin made a special effort to learn some Tunisian and French words to greet us in our languages, which we deeply appreciated and now he has french-tunisian friend and we have a turkish friend 🤩
