We liked the hotel and would come back. On the top floor were they serve a good breakfast with local dished (everyday different), you have a nice view of Istanbul and dolphins in the sea, its very cosy. The rooms look nice and are clean. The staff of the hotel are all very nice.

We only heard some noise from the room above us, some wood squeaking (the whole hotel is made of wood) but not loud and i think the staff fixed it by now :) .Its a very touristic area.

Location is great. Service is excellent, breakfast selections & view are superb! Our room was upgraded to a bigger corner room which was a plus point! Only drawback is the noise from the street below. Due to the proximity, it was rather disturbing if you're a light sleeper. Overall, it was a pleasant stay.

Hotel is very near to the blue mosque, so every morning you will be able to see the beautiful Bosporus as well as the blue mosque from breakfast at the attic. Hotel room is decorated in ottoman style, very beautiful. However that means the floor can be a bit squeaky and noisy neighbors can be heard through the walls. Toilet doesn’t have a bidet. Shower gel, shampoo, soap are provided. In room slippers are also provided. Breakfast was so good you will not really need to have lunch. Most importantly, service was impeccable and staff very helpful (special thanks to Guhan and Nima). Overall great hotel for traditional Turkey stay experience!

I was captivated by, and admire the pristine condition of the hotel. The hotel reflects an ottoman period type style and is shown by its longstanding historical roots in Istanbul. Everyone is greeted with tea and Turkish delight upon checking in. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The rooftop lounge serves breakfast in the morning and has the most amazing views of the Blue Mosque and ocean side. Conveniently located near main attractions, walking is a must if you plan to enjoy the scenery and vibrant life in Istanbul. Highly would recommend staying here!

I cannot speak more highly of this hotel, every day felt like I was coming home. The hotel is a family business and their care for it is evident. The hotel is scrupulously clean and comfortable, while the breakfasts are consistent in their quality and variety. It's located in the tourist area of Fatih, and the surrounding shops are equally pleasant and welcoming. We came here by accident- we initially booked another hotel around the corner, but that hotel was dingy and dirty, and did not look at all like the pictures. We felt lucky to be so close to a great alternative. I would definitely come back.

I had a fantastic stay at Derstaadet Hotel during my trip to Istanbul. The service was truly exceptional—the staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and assist with everything I needed. The breakfast was a highlight: delicious, varied, and the perfect way to start the day.

The location is incredibly convenient, with many of Istanbul’s iconic attractions within walking distance, making it an excellent base for exploring the city.

While the rooms aren’t in the best condition, it’s completely understandable given the building’s historical charm. The character and authenticity of the hotel more than make up for it.

If you value excellent service, a great breakfast, and a central location, I highly recommend staying here!
