Best hotel ever as long as the shuttle is fast and there is almost no traffic to get there and to leave. The reason I'm giving 5 stars is because the service for the staff is the best I've ever seen. The rooms, the best I've ever seen and experienced. 👌

The location only, and the staff were friendly The room was very dirty, had blood stains and hair all over the bed. The rooms are not sound proof, you can hear voices of people speaking in rooms next to you or in the lobby.

As two young women who had never traveled to Istanbul before, safety was our top priority. We wanted to feel comfortable, safe, and at peace, while staying in a tourist-friendly area close to historical sites and the ferry port so we could easily get around by vapur. If that’s what you’re looking for, this hotel is absolutely perfect.
The location is ideal, just a few steps from the historic mosques, Topkapi Palace, and public transportation, including boats. The staff were very welcoming, friendly, and always willing to help. Breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of options.
We especially want to thank Deniz Hanım, who helped us arrange airport transfers. She was incredibly responsive, even late at night. We also appreciate the front desk staff for their kindness.
We did have a small issue in the bathroom (a minor leak from the ceiling), but it was resolved quickly. The staff were very professional and responsive.
When I return to Istanbul, I will definitely stay here again without hesitation. Thank you for everything!

Spacious, clean room in a very good location within central Istanbul. Free breakfast is included. The staff were very nice. I had awful food poisoning on the last day of my stay here and they allowed me to checkout 3 hours later than scheduled for free. Highly recommend.

The hotel is very close to the T1 tramway stop and right in the heart of Istanbul old city. Very easy to get around from there. Great service and staff were very accommodating. We moved our booking twice due to the middle east conflict recently where flights were delayed/cancelled, and they accommodated. Rooms were clean and very comfortable for a family of 5. One of very few hotels who have interleading rooms.

I stayed here for two nights while in Istanbul and really appreciated its location in the vibrant old city. It’s within walking distance to major landmarks like the Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, and the Grand Bazaar. There are also plenty of restaurants nearby, making it a convenient spot for exploring and dining.
The room was on the smaller side, but it was fine for a short stay. The linens were impressively white and clean, which added a nice touch. Breakfast was a highlight—there was a wide variety to choose from, and the dining area staff were especially warm and friendly.
One downside was the front desk service—the staff member I interacted with seemed a bit indifferent and answered questions without much enthusiasm. However, one staff member, Omer, stood out for being genuinely helpful and attentive.
Overall, a pleasant stay with great access to the city’s historical sights and a lovely breakfast experience

We stayed for 4 nights at this hotel. The best thing about the hotel is its location. Everything is close by, the tram, metro, attractions etc. The bad part is that it can be noisy at times, given the tram just goes by next to the hotel. Breakfast was ok. While Mr. Erdogan (who usually stays at the reception from 7pm - morning) was smiling and super helpful, the other individual at the reception (during the day) was rather rude and (inflated the price of shuttle service when we asked for one). Also the hotel could'nt arrange for an "Iron" for ironing our clothes. So loved the location, but could have had a better service.

Fantastic hotel, amazing staff, brilliant location. Everything you could want from a hotel here. Centrally located, the Metro is only a few minutes walk away, and from there you can get to anywhere! The breakfasts are so good as well!! Would totally recommend this hotel to anyone! We will be back visiting Istanbul very soon and will be staying here again! 10/10

Outstanding hotel with the greatest staff! As a visitor from London I have found the best hotel in Istanbul! The team are just so lovely and have helped me so much. The rooms are lovely and the hotel is so clean. Kadir who is in reception advises me well on local tours and I have now been on 3 which were all great and much cheaper than just finding elsewhere. Kadir is incredibly kind and he will assist you greatly. What a gem!

Old viva city hotel is just in the city centre of Cirçi area. 8min walking to the marmaray train and everything you could ever want just around the corner! Restaurants everywhere and anything else! Good room for the price and actually good breakfast too! 😉👍💪
