Romance Istanbul Hotel in Istanbul

My husband and I had amazing stay here, location is in the heart of Sultanahmet, just a stone’s throw from Basilica Cistern, Hagia Sofia & Blue Mosque.
Stunning hotel and immaculately clean.
Şirin, Miraç and Furkan are very friendly and helpful. They provided exceptional service and prompt guidance for us to move around in the area.
Highly recommend anyone who wish to enjoy a memorable stay.

Friendly staff. Great location, central but quiet enough, 15 min walk to the grand mosques and main attractions. Breakfast selection was great. Room was clean, spacious enough, and beds were comfy. So glad to have chosen this nice, welcoming hotel after our long flight. Highly recommended.

The hotel staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming upon my arrival. Even though I was traveling alone, I was given a spacious room, which made my stay very comfortable and enjoyable.

The restaurant, though not large, had everything I needed, and it was a real treat to have delicious Kaymak for breakfast without having to go far.

There was a bit of a tricky situation during my stay, but the staff were so kind to constantly check in on me, asking if I was okay and offering their help. I really appreciated their concern and support.

I would definitely love to stay here again if I come back to Istanbul!

I really enjoyed my stay at Romance Istanbul Hotel. It’s a charming boutique hotel with a prime location and incredibly kind staff who truly made my experience memorable. From thoughtful gestures to constant willingness to help, this hotel made me feel genuinely cared for throughout my stay.

Pros
• Very kind and attentive staff — always checking if they could help whenever I stepped out
• One staff member even lent me her personal umbrella on a rainy day
• Staff allowed me to sit in the breakfast area at night so I could enjoy my last kaymak meal before heading to the airport
• Breakfast buffet was good and satisfying
• Prime location: most major sightseeing spots are within 10–15 minutes walking distance
• Ferry terminal nearby to cross to other parts of the city
• Only about 2 minutes’ walk from the tram station
• Cute boutique hotel with a unique and charming style
• Wellness facilities were excellent(Spa&Hamman)
• Spacious and well-heated hammam
• Swimming pool and dry sauna are great additions
• Old-style furniture and rugs gave the hotel a unique character (personally enjoyed this)

Cons
• No hotel umbrellas available for guests during rainy days
• Swim cap is required for the pool (available for purchase at the spa desk, but would be nice to know in advance)
• As an older boutique hotel, furniture and decor may feel dated to some guests
• Main entrance is located directly on the tram line, so cars cannot stop in front of the hotel
• Drop-off and pick-up require walking one short block (about 20 seconds) from the street behind the hotel, which can be inconvenient with luggage

Final thoughts:
Despite the small inconveniences, I would definitely stay here again. The location is perfect, the wellness area is relaxing, and most importantly, the staff are truly amazing and kind.

I had a wonderful experience in Romance Istanbul Hotel. The location is great as it is between the old city and Eminonu which links to the significant public transport services to both the Asian and European side of Istanbul. The facilities are clean and the rooms are spacious with all the necessary services. The hotel also provided a pool, sauna, Turkish hamam and massage service which is a huge plus. The hotel staff are friendly and helpful no matter what your background is. I would highly recommend this hotel to all guests from couples to families etc.

We had a great experience here! My husband and I unfortunately could only stay for one night, but we had an extremely pleasant stay. We had a very late check-in, and the staff was more than accommodating. We loved the location, kindness of the staff, cleanliness, and extremely comfortable bed. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Istanbul!

The front desk staff were wonderful, always genuine in greeting us each time, and gave us a loan of a travel/ tram card ( rather than us buying one) we still had to put money into it just up the road at the tram station, it saved us buying the card and when we were leaving we handed it back.
The service staff were also great in room service and down stairs in the breakfast area with coffee and the variety of breakfast changed daily.
The location is great lots of restaurants around we found the 360 restaurant was the best and was the first we tried.
I don’t normally give reviews, however they deserve one, I should have tipped them more , we Australian don’t tip at home and found it odd but got in the swing of it by the time we had a week in Turkeya and during our following holiday.
On a nut Schell great location really friendly staff and made us feel welcome 😎👍👍👍

We had an incredible time at the Romance Istanbul. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. The rooms were decorated in a beautiful and romantic style with the best lighting. The suite we stayed in was spacious and had plenty of room and privacy for both us and our two boys. The bathroom had wonderful towels and quality bath products. We all enjoyed the breakfast each morning. It was special with the made to order coffees. Our children said they would be sad to go back to their normal breakfast. We ate at the hotel restaurant twice for dinner, both times it was excellent. Thank you for making our short time in Istanbul so special. We will recommend you to friends and family and hope to stay again soon.

I cannot think of a single thing that I would change at this hotel. The staff were exceptional and totally understand the needs of guests. They helped with tours as well as getting connected with taxi services to the airport. Super quiet room and the blackout curtains actually worked.
