Anna Queen Hotel in Alanya

Having been here before, we knew what to expect. Again, we chose the hotel mainly because of its location which is just perfect considering the town and beach. Small restaurants and shops around (also larger Migros within 5 mins walk) it is very convenient base for a week long vacation for adults. Dont count on having a pool - while it exists, it is mainly without sunshine. Go to their co-op beach instead. Breakfast plate is not much to rave about - we brought youghurt with us every morning. But the tea and bread is fresh and service speedy. The restaurant downstairs (not in connection to the hotel, though they share the name Anna Queen) serves decent food, but like someone else mentioned - there are plenty of good and fairly priced places around. Noise did not bother us either, the music stops at midnight and we rarely went to bed earlier than that. Our room was on 2nd floor right above the restaurant, and I am a light sleeper. Just bring earplugs if you want to be sure! Air conditioning costs extra and cleaning can be orderd by switching on / off a light for the maids. You can have cleaning every day or not - do as you wish. Large collection of books downstairs, though I did not check the languages. I dont think we got any particular "service" at the front desk- while the lady was there, she was not particularly attentive or even friendly towards us. Let it be - it did not bother us. Excellent location, good bed, empty mini fridge for your soda and something to eat in the morning. For the price we paid, it was good enough. Like said, i am a returning customer - so there's my proof it was good enough. Just dont expect any luxury.
