Eftalia Downtown Hotel in Alanya

Superb hotel. Really liked the location. 20 minutes from the harbour and 30 minute walk from the cable car and Kleopatra beach. Rooms are very comfortable. I stayed here in January, so needed heating which was included. Plenty of storage space, instant hot water in the shower, hairdryer and tv with good channels. Good WiFi too. Buffet breakfast which was adequate. Large selection of cold items, and salads, toaster, and some hot food, although no bacon and only boiled eggs. I was given a Seaview room. Large private balcony, although you can hear traffic noise. The spa is run privately, and I had the best massage and hammam ever. Prices are very competitive with other places nearby. My only complaint was the indoor pool was not heated, as i was looking forward to a swim. I would certainly book here again. Overall a lovelly stay.

First I came in Solo Travel, meet friends on arrival hotel. Stay at B&B, didn't get much of choice going self catering as I dont bother food in hotel. Room Cleaned, in family room of 4. Try to change room but it was full hotel. No fault in hotel, got everything you need basically, Bar, turkey bath, salon male/female (have to be book) which friend of mine book it for me follow Morning. You can trust cleaner, if you are brining your own pillow with pillowcase, wise advice dont use White pillowcase, cleaner will mistaken replace fresh, Had deal situation turn out pillowcase was replace and pillow stuff in, as they though it was nick 😄 typical. Beach Bar food 😋 yum no fault. There no Kettle in room. Looking for best coffee, next door colombia coffee 170 for flat white. Will be back again.

This was our 5th stay at Eftalia Downtown and not much has changed within the hotel during that time. It's still a perfectly located hotel, across the road from the beach; shops, restaurants, taxi rank and bus stops on the doorstep. 15/20 minute steady walk up to Atatürk statue where you can access the harbour, Centrum shopping & restaurants, and a little further on the Bazaar. We arrived late and we were welcomed by Recep, a fairly new member of staff, but very efficient and friendly. We had pre requested a specific room, and thankfully were allocated this - 5th floor central block for amazing views of the castle and the sea. The room hadn't changed. We had twin beds, firm and comfortable - requested extra pillows which arrived swiftly. There's a TV and complementary air con (safe box and fridge are available for a small additional charge). Bathroom was spotless with step in shower - overhead & adjustable attachments & very useful corner rack for shampoos etc. Towels & loo roll supplied. We were on a b&b basis and the food was all fresh and tasty - it's not a "bacon & beans" type fare but there was a plentiful supply of breads, jams, fruit, salads, cheeses, cold meats as well as a toaster & toastie maker. Outside by the pool a chef was cooking fresh pancakes, fried eggs & omelettes. Tea, coffee & juices are complementary at breakfast only. Entertainment is a couple of nights a week - plenty of outside seating but the bar does get busy. Over the road (there are crossing places but Turkish motorists don't always stop!) there's the beach.. it's more of a dusty shingle and shelves into the sea (not ideal for young children) - take note of where everyone else is going in, as there are some slippery rocks that can't be seen from the beach. There is some road noise but it depends what you're used to. Take ear plugs if you're a light sleeper as you may also hear the call to prayer from the local mosque. On the doorstep there are taxis, bus stops, coffee shops, exchange office, chemist, bars & restaurants. A short taxi ride to Centrum cost us 200 TL which was about £4 at the time of our stay. If you prefer a more sedate type of evening entertainment with beautiful food and excellent service pop over the road to Costa Flamingo, highly recommended. Overall this is a lovely, affordable hotel. All the staff we came across seemed happy in their work, we felt safe and hopefully will return again next year 🙏 maşallah.

Just spent a week there and had a lovely time. Not sure where all the bad reviews are coming from. Food was lovely, rooms were great and cleaned every day but one. Beds comfortable, staff lovely (except the reception) Staff in the Hammam were lovely and very reasonably priced. Only thing I will say is that the pool not great - literally doesn't get any sun as right in the middle of the buildings Nice short walk in to town with loads of shops and restaurants to chose from and a proper food supermarket five minutes away. We had a great week

I recently stayed at this hotel sept 2025 ( 2nd year running) And all aspects of hotel were good, Food was nice every meal ( and im fussy ) All staff were nice, any queries i needed help with they were very helpful and pleasant. Location is good.... Already booked for 2026

The hotel was amazing. The staff .the food. It was always clean. The hotel is about 2 1/2 hours away from the airport but it was well worth the journey. The small bus has drinks and stops on the way to the hotel half way. The pool was a little cold but it was clean . Beach front room waking up to this was stunning. The massage had twice .staff spoke to the hotel guests even if they didn't have the massage .there is doctor on site. Lifeguard. Safety for kids swim life jackets. Going to go back soon. Love how you all look after the stray cats. Try the chicken shop best chicken ever .

Where to start over the road from a beach, food was good. Even eat cauliflower cheese and I dont normally like it ( thought it looked like lasagne/moussaka that's why I put a load on my plate. I did half board but there are different options. Sat in the main high street so close to shops. Shop next to hotel fantastic very nice man not push like some. Best of all was the staff could not fault any of them good standards in the food ( I'm a catering manager) so food is big one for me. Hotel is very clean. Ladies that cleaned my room were lovely more so after my health condition had a flare up while there so didn't feel like leaving the hotel for a could of days. Spa that does hammam turkish bath was 10 € or 400 turkish lira . There is an on site doctor if needed. I'd packed all my own medications so didn't need this service all in all even being unwell I had a very good week. In Alanya not sure about other parts of Turkey it being my first visit does take and currency even asked if I wanted to use pounds of dollars but most shops are marked in euros and Tl.
