Reviews
Unfortunately, my experience didn’t match what was advertised. I booked a Deluxe Double Room, but upon arrival was given a smaller room facing a very noisy street — clearly a lower category. The staff insisted all rooms are the same, although even the hotel’s own website shows Comfort and Deluxe as two different types.
The room itself was disappointing: tiny space, thin walls, and a strange layout — the TV is fixed to the wall next to the window and you can only watch it while standing in the hallway. The constant noise from traffic made it difficult to rest.
Overall, the hotel looks nice online, but the quality doesn’t match the price and the service lacks honesty. I expected a relaxing Deluxe experience and instead felt downgraded and ignored.
If you value quiet, comfort, and transparency — double-check your room type and be cautious when booking here.
In addition wi-fi is very very slow at the hotel. And only local alcohol products on the bars(((
My girlfriend and I were absolutely blown away by our stay at Alexia Resort & Spa in Side. This hotel truly deserves all 5 stars – and more if possible! Everything was spotless, the rooms were modern, comfortable, and perfectly maintained. The food was outstanding with so much variety, and drinks were unlimited.
The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The location is excellent – you can easily catch a dolmuş to Side center, and the sandy beach is just a short walk away, very clean, and perfect for relaxing.
The pool area is amazing, and the hotel has everything you could possibly need, so you almost don’t even have to leave the property! For the price, this is probably the best hotel in Side. We couldn’t be happier with our choice and will definitely be coming back.
The bedrooms were absolutely 5* as they were modern, clean and had great views. Also, the mini bar in the rooms were constantly topped up for free.
The location was great. A short walk down to the beach, there were always enough sun loungers available, right next to the water sports counter, sea was warm and also drinks available for free. Plenty of local shops around the hotel and the old town centre is also walkable, or a short taxi ride away.
The service was amazing at this hotel, the staff are very helpful and friendly. The entertainment included a foam pool party, music in the daytime and evening entertainment. The spa treatments were perfect and helped us to relax.
Only thing stopping this review from being 5* overall, is the food. The food was 4* as most of it was average, especially in the main restaurant, but their freshly made kebabs and freshly made waffles were amazing!
I would definitely recommend this adults only hotel for those wanting a fun holiday.
Very nice and friendly staff in the lobby (e.g. always smiling and very nice Mrs Selcan) :). Service is very varied - some waiters prefer guests who give tips, especially those from Germany. Intimate atmosphere, no crowds or "battles" for sunbeds. Food - meals monotonous, little choice. The cuisine could be more varied (that Turkish as well as for those who are not convinced by it).
Poorly equipped gym - the treadmill is not suitable for running and there is limited equipment. However, for runners there is a long path nearby on which to jog.
We were harassed by Mehmet, the spa guy, who even sent us threatening WhatsApp messages. This place is definitely not safe for younger ladies just trying to enjoy a holiday with friends.
The food was horrendous and not even edible.
On a positive note, Abdullah from the bar staff was lovely and provided excellent customer service, as did Mikey (or Burka, not sure of his name) with the curly hair and braces.
Although management did listen to our harassment complaint and sacked Mehmet, we still didn’t feel safe at all. But we are pleased that they dealt with our complaint as soon as. The manager with the Tattoos on his neck was also very helpful.
The air conditioning was never on, only in your rooms which it also turns of itself.
The lights in the lobby/reception area are switched off early
We were charged for two towels which had fake tan on them, which could have easily been washed at a 40 degree wash. it’s not about the fact we paid for them because money is not an issue it is the fact they made a big fuss out of it whilst we was on our way out leaving the hotel to enjoy our evening.
We continuously felt on edge during our stay here.
Overall, we would never come back to the Alexia Resort. Avoid this hotel you will deffo find something better 🤣
The rooms are very clean with all mod cons, a free mini bar kept stocked daily.
The staff are all very nice and attentive.
It’s a small hotel which helps with service.
The food was fantastic and if you have a sweet tooth then the pastry chef is 5 star. Not all the food is to my liking but there is so much choice you can never go hungry..
They have a seafood night, Turkish night and they do really work to make sure you are enjoying the hotel.
Pool is clean and there are always sunbeds available with drinks service.
Entertainment is a bit hit and miss but there is always a few day games and a main event on at 9pm. The hotel is a very well oiled machine.
The barber is good and shops are helpful.
I would say if have to have a hotel full of English then it’s not for you.
But it’s well worth 2 weeks of sun and great service 5 star defo
