Side Mare Resort & Spa - All Inclusive in Side

We travelled as a family of 4 from the UK with children aged 13 and 15. Although the hotel was mainly German this was quite an experience to not have the typical Brit vibe. In fact it was very chilled. The entertainment staff were fab as were all the restaurant and bar staff. They were all so friendly funny and welcoming. Lots of activities . It really made our holiday. Music is great around the poolside and we just loved the 10 am wake up song even though in German it was very catchy and we would end up singing along to what we thought were the words. The food is amazing. So much choice and we particularly loved the jacket potatoes. Probably the best jacket I've ever had. Really had nothing to complain about. Entertainment staff do speak in English although I read it's all German. So many sunbeds and so many umbrellas so you will never will be without shade. Pool staff also amazing clearing up after everyone leaving their cups and plates lying about. We always took ours back as was mindful of how hard the staff work here. Shuttlebus amazing to the beach hardly ever any wait. Saw a previous post about stones on the beach. There are a few when you enter the sea but depends where you enter but seriously nothing to complain about and it's also all inclusive at the beach for food and drink which is fab. As for watching the sunset yes the last bus is 6.30 but just get a taxi back it's hot in the heat yes with kids but must be only around 5 min taxi ride. Take a trip to side town is a must not far and so pretty seeing the ruins and so many shops and restaurants. Trying to think of what else. Kids like the water slides onsite as did I and the pool is not cold at all probably the warmest I've experienced as is the sea. Rooms are lovely. Cleaned everyday. The only thing I would say is you can smell a sewer smell at times and the drinks are a bit sweet but it's standard these days for most all inclusive as I've experienced. But overall a fabulous holiday with such welcoming staff. Oh yes also if you like football head down the road to the right to Zeus bar. They had games in German but when found out where we were from they put on UK football. Lovely food and welcoming too that we popped down just for a drink quite a few times. Lovely family run business who we were happy to give our custom too. Hope this helps to anyone considering this hotel.

Some fantastic elements to the resort- food and pools. Food for everyone. We loved the lunch near the pool. Ice cream and waffles at 3-4pm were a huge hit! Staff worked hard and it was kept very clean. Good atmosphere around the pool. The resort is mostly catered to Germans in terms of evening shows etc. I think I only heard one other English speaking family whilst we were there. I quite liked it though as you could zone out when you don’t understand the language and chill. No sunbed wars. The communal areas are a bit dated and the room we were in was very small for 2 adults and a teen. I think we we’re unlucky with our room as we requested s pool view but got one overlooking a road with a brick wall balcony, which when sitting down was at least a foot higher than my head.

I read hotel reviews and came across good and bad comments. But I've experienced so many good things to disprove the bad reviews. I've never had such a good time. It was a really fun holiday. foods are good. The hotel view is beautiful. and especially if it wasn't for the animation team this hotel would be very quiet. They took us on a disco tour. I had so much fun. The animators are very close friends. and they took care of us at the disco. And I've never seen such a crazy team. For a while I wanted to be an animator. They are very energetic. I want to come again in the middle of this year. thanks

Lovely clean hotel, rooms cleaned daily. Staff very friendly and helpful. Food was good. Pool and watersides kept kids engaged. Lots of excursions to do if you like. Only negative, although not an issue for us, is that its not near the beech but a short bus journey. Would recommend this hotel.

Group of friends visited with children aged 13-16 . The hotel is situated around 10 minsctaci ride outside Side centre . 10 euros in a cab.I.prefer a hotel that is nearer as I would have liked to walk. There us a shuttle bus to the beach, the beach is OK, not the best but there us a restaurant and bar u can use, included in all Inc. The hotel.is spotless. rooms are an OK size, only 3 of us in the room so we had enough space. Don't think they are big enough for a family of 4. We had a room with pool view which was nice. The food is lovely, so much choice and themed nights every few days. choices of Turkish, Mexican, Chinese dishes. The drinks on the other hand are not good.The beer is OK, but the spirits are poor, and the wine us undrinkable,. the only cocktail that was OK was the pink colada. Be aware the hotel is totally geared up to Germans, and Tussians, who could be quite rude at times, be prepared to get up at 6am to get a sunbed round the main pool. All entertainment is in German, and is rubbish to be honest.But there is a nice bar behind the wave pool, but they only play music for an hour 10-11pm. The kids loved the football pitches. and had nightly matches with other nationalities. Most of the staff are lovely, some of the bar staff are miserable, but a big shout out to the big guy at the pool bar and the lady on the reception bar in the evening. All in all a good hotel, not sure it's for the Brits , but a pleasant stay , gorgeous food, lots to keep the kids entertained , spotlessly clean .
