When I booked the hotel, they required full payment upfront. However, at the last moment, they canceled my booking, citing “internal issues” and told me to find alternative accommodations.
I faced significant challenges getting my refund. My calls went unanswered, and emails received no response. I had to escalate the matter by involving the Dubai Municipality and Dubai Police for assistance via email.
Only with their intervention did I finally receive my refund.
We would like to bring to your attention a very disappointing experience we faced with your property. We had booked two rooms at Chelsea Plaza Hotel for our guests; however, due to internal issues at the hotel, our guests had to suffer significant inconvenience. Staff told guest to leave the hotel. By 11:00 PM, they were compelled to shift to another hotel, which caused them considerable discomfort.
Despite repeated attempts, we have not yet received any update regarding the pending refund. Unfortunately, our calls to Accounts, Reservations, and Front Desk have gone unanswered, which is highly unprofessional and concerning.
As a local travel agent in Dubai, such experiences directly impact our trust and business partnerships. At this stage, we cannot recommend Chelsea Plaza Hotel for future bookings. However, we will continue to try reaching out to your management team in the hope of resolving this matter amicably and securing the refund at the earliest.
We sincerely urge you to look into this issue on priority and provide a resolution.
