New Dawn in London

Do not bother this place is disgusting, floor filthy looks like it hasn't been cleaned in months. Bugs coming up the drains and toilet, don't even think about going near the bed, sheets and mattress stained and according to other reviews most likely full of bed bugs. Only took a couple of photos as we just turned around and walked out, as two young females and it being late at night we didn't want to get into a confrontation with a less than interested receptionist. We booked a fantastic hotel around the corner called The Troy, great location, clean and staff amazing.

THIS ISNT A HOTEL,A AIR B&B NOR A GUEST HOUSE. THIS IS A MIGRANT HOTEL. NOBODY IN THIER RIGHT MIND WOULD SLEEP THERE IT SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN. MY DOG WOULDNT SLEEP THERE ITS DISQUSTING HENCE WHY MIGRANTS SLEEP THERE AS THEYD SLEEP ANYWHERE. THERE ARE MOPEDS PARKED OUTSIDE AS THEY ARE FOOD DELIVERY DRIVERS. THIS HOTEL IS ON YOUTUBE,LOOK FOR DAN WOOTTON CHANNEL AND SEE FOR YOURSELF.

Absolutely disgusting accommodation, I actually felt cleaner going back out on the street, the room we were given was extremely unhygienic (see photos) mould everywhere and a strong mould smell, stains all around the floor of the toilet, the bathroom looked like it hasn't been cleaned in years, there was a large skylight which was propped open with a piece of wood leaving a gap of about 8 inches again see photos attached, this left the room exposed to birds and vermin crawling in through the evening, we checked in quite late as our flight was delayed, quickly left bags and went in search for food as we were starving and when we returned we discovered the open skylight however there was no one on site as they leave at 10pm, we ended up having to find another hotel and left the keys in a check out box so didn't even stay it was that dirty, contacted ********** where we booked from and they tried to fight on our behalf for a refund but the property refused several times. I will be taking this further and be posting these pictures all over social media so that no one else gets taken on like we did, never in my life have I had to leave a hotel to find another especially so late in the evening, there was hairs stuck to the towels and the bedding had stains, environmental health would have a field day with this hotel, AVOID

When I arrived at the hotel together with my friend, I was greeted by the manager who advised me that my room was not ready. They were doing some cleanup and suggested I go for a walk, have a coffee or something and come back. I said I would wait as I had already done that. I waited for some time, apologised to my friend for holding her up and asked if there was another room but the manager said no, that the hotel was full. Whilst waiting I paid my deposit and noticed that the hotel was very busy and noisy with what looked like work men walking up and down constantly. I could hear banging and hoovering from upstairs and mattresses were being taken to and from past us through the front entrance. I asked the manager if he could clarify what he meant by cleaning up a few times but his response was vague mentioning doing something on the walls. I still did not understand so I asked if they were painting or if there would be dust in my room as I was asthmatic. My friend also had allergies. But he said categorically no there wasn’t any of that. When a mattress was about to come in, my friend said that the one going out had bed bugs. At that moment, a man who we later was told was the host turned to my friend and started shouting at her. Telling her to shut her mouth and mind her own business, implying that the mattress was not for my room. I asked him not to shout at my friend and tone done his attitude and he started shouting at me! At that point I no longer felt safe. I was the one who was planning to stay overnight by myself and all I could envision was this man shouting at me and all the other men walking up and down. I did not feel that I could do that by myself after receiving such aggression and hostility coming from of all people the host! I asked to cancel my booking. The host said sure you can and you can contact *********** but I will not be giving you your money back! My friend left promptly as she was not prepared to be treated in that way and suggested that I do not stay there overnight. I agreed. I am a woman and I would be alone. I tried to request a refund from the manager but he kept telling me I had to contact *********** because I did not book directly with them. As I was leaving, I told the manager that I too ran a business and would not dare insult or shout at my customers as the host did to us. The manager agreed and tried to excuse the host’s aggressive behaviour by saying it was a long and busy day and said that the host was wrong to shout at us and that he was sorry. But I said it was not the way to run a business or instil confidence in customers. That I did not want an apology and I could not recommend, and all I wanted was my money back. I was out of a room and out of pocket. The manager said that he would return my deposit but I have had to contact *********** to make my complaint and request to get my refund for the room. It is now under investigation. I hope that this is never allowed to happen to anybody els

We stayed through airbn (London letting) a complete scam. Do not book with them. Dirty, looks like a squatter hotel. The rooms are old and dirty, you can't even sit in the bathroom. This establishment should not be open. I think if it received an inspection they would close it.

Don't. Just don't. As you walk up to the entrance their is a pile of detritus on the right. The stairs down to the double room are extremely narrow and not sure if they are legal. The wall lights dont work. The room smelled musty. There were 2 mugs one of which had a huge crack all the way down. One electrical socket is very loose on the wall. Nowhere to hang ones clothes. No saftey chain or bolt on the door. Came back at 21.30hrs front door propped open, nobody at the desk, hardly secure. Noise levels were high from guests and possibly staff til quite late. Woke up to water all over the floor in the shower room. Everything is very worn including picture on the wall that wouldn't even be sold in a charity shop! Plus point, the outter bedding was clean...didnt inspect the duvet inside....

Booked 2 nights through Airbnb. Arrived at property and just like many other reviewers, felt things were not right when we first arrived! The hallway and stairs were dark, dingy and dirty. Shown our room on the first floor, much much smaller than the photo suggests. Small double bed against window with a wonky shelf above it. The fan on the shelf had dust all in it, the ceiling light was caked in dust, the window opened on a tiny shared terrace with next door room with cigarette butts strewn over it. Despite the small fan, the room was very warm and felt quite claustrophobic. I’m also asthmatic so was put off by the dust. You couldn’t even sit on the toilet properly and there was bottles of shower gel and shampoo left in the shower cubicle by previous guests. I just didn’t feel comfortable. We decided to leave and contacted Airbnb (who weren’t any help). The actual host wasn’t there so I spoke to the man on reception who was pleasant enough and did apologise, he also said I would be refunded and had I received it! Then the host rang me. He was on the verge of being arrogant and insulting. When I went through my concerns, he mocked me about the security of the terrace, he told me I had exaggerated the dust in the fan. He said he wouldn’t be cleaning the light as it’s too high up and it’s not affecting your stay. I also told him the TV kept breaking up to which he questioned my ability work it. I said I felt uncomfortable and unsafe staying there. Half an hour later he got his reception employee to take photos of the working TV, and miraculously a standing fan and the previous fan removed! By then and after the way he talked to me on the phone, it was too late. I will try to claim for a refund of any sort but proving extremely difficult through Airbnb. For the price of a 2 night stay, the standard does not correlate and I’ve stayed in much cleaner and a lot nicer places in London. Don’t waste your money!

Let me state, I hardly ever leave reviews but this was the WORST Air BNB booking I’ve ever made. They kindly welcomed us with literal poop in the toilet and then tried to blame us for leaving it (if had clearly been left there.) They wouldn’t switch our room, give us partial refund or apologise. They just told us to flush it. Which is easy enough but my thinking was that if the bathroom hadn’t been checked or cleaned properly, then what are the odds that the beds or sheets were cleaned properly? I think they thought we were trying to get a refund after myself previously asking as I was supposed to go with a friend but she fell sick with Covid. We didn’t make the first night but I managed to make the second night with my partner as we were told that it is a no refund policy. It’s fair enough as I understand supporting small businesses but after the way we were treated, I was shocked. I wore a mask out of respect and left the room nearly as “clean” as it was when we arrived. The communication with the person over air BnB was just appalling. I will admit that the location was great but there are nicer places to stay in London that is cheaper then this hotel. I’ll skip this place next time and I think you should too! Save your money or spend it on companies that value your money and time.

We booked this hotel by AIRBNB on the wrong day, Sunday instead of Saturday. We asked if there was any way they could swap it. No problem they had another room available, however by seeing the state of this room we had to declined the swap room. It was very smelly and dirty. We wouldn't recommend this place. This place is a health hazard. It should be closed. We’ve never seen a place so dirty.
