Excellent value for money, spotlessly clean well appointed and friendly hotel in the heart of London. The room was fabulous even though the toilet was down the corridor the shower and basin were in the room. The bed was extremely comfortable, had fabulous modern TV and great WiFi. Add this to friendly and professional staff, a tremendous place to stay.
Only downside was the lady serving breakfast who was rude, think it was her lack of the command of the English language which frustrated her.

Used it for an overnight stay to get my daughter to GOSH early in the morning. Location was great for that. Bit odd than when we asked for drinks, barman had to come from hotel over the road then get the orange juice from a third hotel. Otherwise good quality rooms. Nice bathroom.

Great location, attentive staff, quiet enough on the yard side. Small shower cell and need to share the toilet with 8 other rooms seems to be (not sure if there is another one on the other side of the floor)

It's okay. The single room is a step down from the double in what you get for your buck. Breakfast is excellent. Great location to explore central London.

A bit rough around the edges but friendly and helpful staff compensate and the price is great.

Rooms are so small. Lucky to have toilet to myself. Housekeeping are so noisy from 5am and I had a room in the basement. Company booked. Local to my meeting place. I'm back next week so hoping it will be better. PS breakfast is amazing.

Excellent location just a few minutes walk away from Holborn tube station. The reception is friendly albeit lacking in grandeur. There was no lift to get upstairs however all of the rooms were clearly marked and sign posted. The room itself was excellent price for London for a one night stay. We were placed in a room on the top floor. It was generous in size, clean and with a comfortable double bed. A handy cubby in the corner housed a kettle, cups and a variety of tea and coffee. a Smart TV allowed you to stream from your phone using the free WiFi. A reasonable wardrobe had coat hangers ready. Two table lamps were ideal to read by. No fridge, iron or ironing board was found. A big negative if you are staying over as a professional and need to iron a shirt. The shower corner built into the actual corner of the room came as a surprise, more so with its weak water pressure and leaky shower head that was attached to the wall. Shampoo, shower gel and all relevant products were included and of great quality. There was no toilet in the room. Which is just as well considering the shower was in the actual room. It would have been rather awkward in the morning if there were two of you staying. The shared toilet was situated in the corridor. It was very clean and spacious, if somewhat inconvenient. Finally, you may leave your luggage in the hotel once you check out until 6pm. This is an excellent service which allows you to do extra business or exploring unhindered. Overall a good overnight stay with friendly staff, an excellent price in lieu of some moderate inconveniences.

The Lancaster on Bedford Place is very nice by non-American standards. The room, common areas, toilets and entry were all clean. The room had plenty of storage and was well-equipped with teas and coffees and personal bathing items. The hairdryer was anchored to the desk but that was sufficient. We were on the top floor which was difficult at the end of a day of sightseeing or travel. The staircases are narrow and winding. Still, we were pleased with the location as it was walkable and close to both Russell Square and Holborn underground stations. (If it is your first time to London, I recommend Russell Square station as it is more direct in its route to the hotel but the two stations are similarly close. There are squares at both ends of the street and grocery, pharmacy and shopping are available within 2-3 streets. Russell Square has a restaurant in the park. Lovely.

The staff were friendly and very helpful. The bowling was great but the food let it down. Christmas lunch was very greasy and a bit too much had been thrown in to everything. Dessert particularly disappointing. The Christmas burger could have done without the chestnuts and the stuffing on the top of the bun made it soggy. My cherry turnover was dry and a touch burnt. I swapped with a friend's creme brulee but that was so over flavoured no one wanted it. Was better last year.

All Star Lanes advertises itself as a 50s style diner, trying to emulate the atmosphere of the time. The furniture and style didn't dissapoint on that front and a number of items dotted around the place made for a more authentic experience.

I was disappointed with the food - the vegetarian starter was very bland, and the main came presented in a way which made it difficult to eat, and wasn't especially tasty either.

The bowling, however, was good fun and this made it worth the journey. Worth doing as part of a big group especially.

Terrible, terrible, terrible. I attended with clients, we were told three times on the phone that we couldn't book more than one game in advance and had to book on the day. On the day, we were told there weren't any more lanes free for another 12 hours. Cheers. We were then kicked off of our lane without even getting half way through a game - no warning about there being a time limit (it was on the confirmation email - because we all read the confirmation email, don't we kids) and no prompt to say we were nearing the end of our game. We were kicked off the two lanes we booked, and sat down for a lunch for two hours, overlooking two other lanes which were COMPLETELY FREE FOR THE WHOLE TWO HOURS. The restaurant staff were very good, front of house really let themselves down.

All Stars? More like One Star.

Good place to go with large groups. Had our team Christmas dinner here. Was a good Night out with a Game of Bowling to start of and followed by dinner. Gave it 4 stars because the salmon came with a very spicy tomato sauce that really did not go with fish. So maybe avoid that. All else was great and it was a fun night out and great for bonding with colleagues.

I didn't bowl here, but I did drink some beer and ate some chicken wings. The beer and wings were great and the surroundings were pretty great. My only criticism is that I think wings should be butchered into drums and flats, rather than served up whole, but I'm not a baby and enjoyed eating them all the same. I like it here!
