I had a fantastic stay at the Holiday Inn Aldgate in London — 5 stars without a doubt. It’s excellent value for money, the location is amazing, and the décor is modern and really nice.

The room was surprisingly spacious for London, with a big, very comfortable bed. I had requested a quiet room and although the hotel was fully booked, the staff did everything they could and placed me in a room overlooking the courtyard. I honestly couldn’t have been happier — it was absolutely silent, right in the middle of central London.

I highly recommend this hotel and would happily stay here again. Thank you for a great experience!

The facilities at this hotel are appalling. There was no air conditioning at all, and I was expected to rely on a single fan throughout the night—absolutely ridiculous for a modern hotel.
Worse still, there was a severe security issue: the cleaning staff apparently took my room card while cleaning. When I tried to contact guest services via the QR code, I was "read and ignored" for over 20 minutes. It wasn't until I demanded an explanation for their silence that they finally replied, casually stating they "estimated the cleaner took it by mistake." No confirmation, no investigation, and zero sense of urgency. I highly recommend staying far away from this place.

Typical standard premier inn. Great beds hadgood night sleep. Next door is bar and block where you can get a meal and breakfast us served.
Not too far from tube station

The water pressure was very low, and I had to pump the shower gel dispenser many times to get enough out. The drain was also very slow. Soundproofing was terrible. The room layout with a queen bed plus a small bed was really poor. The bathroom had no lock, and you needed a key card for electricity. Most importantly, there was a strong, musty, damp smell in the room. There was no phone in the room, so I have no idea about the service, but the front desk staff were quite good, and the Wi-Fi was decent. It's not completely unlivable, but it was a bit off-putting. My actual experience wasn't *that* bad, but all the issues I mentioned above were definitely present.

We stayed at the Aldgate Premier Inn for two nights with our two children and had a fantastic experience. The room was spotless and perfect for our family, and the kids loved the view. Breakfast was great and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful — they really went above and beyond for us and the children. This has been our best stay in London so far, and we’ve stayed in several great hotels. A big thank you to Sacha the manager and his wonderful team. We were so impressed that we’ve already booked to stay again. Highly recommend!

I stayed here for one night on Tuesday 2nd December and wanted to give a shoutout to the incredible team. Despite the hotel being very busy, every staff member I encountered was professional and welcoming.

The manager on duty that evening (I didn’t catch his name) handled a difficult situation with another guest brilliantly. He remained calm, composed, and professional throughout. The receptionist, Becroft, was extremely friendly and helpful too.

I also spoke with one of the cleaners, Doina, who was lovely and clearly takes great pride in her work. My room was spotless, tidy, and comfortable.

Huge thanks to the whole team who are clearly working very hard during the festive period!

This is where I stay every time I visit London. Shoutout to Ron for helping me shift my room from a King to a Twin room.

Really easy to get to from Heathrow, Amber (restaurant 1 minute away) is one of my favorite restaurants in the world, and really easy to get to most areas in London within 30 minutes on the train. Plus, loads of great restaurants and bars just up the road within a 15 minute walk. Highly recommend.

The location is excellent if you're a tourist and plan to visit all the iconic places we know in London. It is at a metro station, not just near one. The breakfast and bar were great. The staff was helpful. The check-out procedure was very easy.

The Ibis London Shoreditch hotel offers a practical and budget-friendly stay in the heart of London. It is located near popular attractions like Liverpool Street, Spitalfields Market and Brick Lane. The hotel provides easy access to the city's cultural and culinary hotspots, making it a suitable choice for both business travelers and young tourists looking to explore the city.

However, there are some drawbacks to consider. The rooms are compact and simple, with furniture often built into the walls to maximize space. This might feel cramped for guests accustomed to more spacious accommodations. Additionally, the shower and toilet are installed in a pod-like design, which, while efficient, can feel quite tight and may not be comfortable for everyone. Also important to note that the pod-type shower is usable, but supply a mediocre water flow in the showers, which can be inconvenient, and reminded me of the Seinfeld episode "The Shower Head".

Another notable aspect is the temperature control system in the rooms, which does not include traditional air conditioning. While this system aims to maintain a comfortable environment, it might not be as effective for guests who prefer the precise control offered by air conditioning units. Additionally, the windows in the rooms cannot be opened, citing the safety and security of all guests. This might be a concern for those who prefer fresh air or have a preference for open windows.

The hotel's amenities are basic and geared towards guests who plan to spend most of their time out and about in the city. The restaurant offers bistro fare and breakfast, which is convenient for those looking for quick meals. The central location and proximity to public transportation, including the London Underground, make it easy to explore London's many attractions.

Overall, the Ibis London Shoreditch hotel provides good solution for travelers who prioritize location and affordability over luxury. While the compact rooms and basic amenities might not suit everyone, I think that the hotel's convenient location and modern decor make it a reasonable choice for those looking to experience the best of London's East End.

Good food but very slow service!

food is so expensive, no Indian spice flavour in real and owner is over confident about there food taste, bad skills of talking to customer, me myself worked in a restaurant over 6 year as a server, never seen somebody full of attitude , ignored the customers experience about not having taste at all and she said “no no no u haven’t read our menu properly you haven’t selected right items for u, u could ask for salt as it mentioned on table”. I am surprised she really thinks Indian food is all about salt. I feel sorry for my self i treat me and my husband at such a bad place on my first night at london.

My first impression was how magnificent the building was! We enjoyed the food and loved that they have this "low salt pledge" which does come a cross a bit different (and hopefully healthy). Food was delicious but price was about twice the usual Indian restaurants. 4 star for the decor but other than that nothing is special enough that makes me want to come back again. This place is great if you want to impress someone for a nice occasion, good for large groups as well.

Fantastic food again. Our party of 16 was treated to the mixed starter platters, including the most excellent haggis samosas (they have to be tried)... and I had the grouse in a rich spiced gravy, superbly spiced and juicy. The only problem was the rice collapsed just before I took the photo....? Will be back soon.

We had a sharing platter as a starter and dessert and couple decent mains. It did not blow me off my feet but worthy to go- he has got some tasty things going on there! As we walk out of the restaurant we have met Cyrus casually walking on the street and he was very nice and friendly!! Will visit again.
