Reviews
Stayed on a solo trip for my birthday, called amd spoke to a lovely lady called Delaram, who also checked me in on the day. She was lovely, explained where all the facilities were, explained the east and West rooms and best way to access the spa. Service was efficient and staff attentive. I arrived on a day there was an award ceremony, so it was busy but I am still very impressed.
Aesthetically pleasing and great amenities. Lovely the Spa, exec lounge space and self service element and overall location. Hotel is defiantly on my list to return!
Thank you
I also appreciated the free water and fruit available at reception—a nice touch that adds to the overall experience. The room was serviced daily and always spotless, with all amenities refreshed.
The hotel includes a spa and pool in the room price, although we unfortunately didn’t have time to use them during our stay due to other commitments. It’s also located on a central yet quieter road with less traffic, making it perfect for a peaceful night’s sleep. I would highly recommend this hotel and would love to return! :)
Unfortunately, the service and overall experience did not reflect the price paid (£*** for two nights including Executive access).
Check-in lacked basic direction — no explanation of where lifts were, where breakfast is served, or how the Executive Lounge works. We ended up at the wrong lifts and had to backtrack.
The Executive Lounge was consistently understocked, with minimal snacks and limited drinks. It did not feel monitored or maintained.
Lift wait times were excessive — we waited around 20 minutes at one point and regularly used the stairs (11 floors) because it was quicker.
Breakfast service was disorganised. We were seated at tables without cutlery or condiments and had to collect them ourselves. Food replenishment was slow and we found hair in food on more than one occasion.
The spa area was good early morning but quickly became chaotic with no visible supervision. The steam room had visible mould and when the steam stopped we were told to throw water ourselves to restart it, which shouldn’t be a guest’s responsibility.
When raising concerns at checkout, there was no clear complaints process or escalation.
Overall, the room and view were great, but service standards and operational management need improvement to justify the “Executive” label and price point.
I had the superior king-size-bed room and it was really good - has a couch, armchair and a desk, the room comes with bathrobes and slippers, which you'll need for the spa, but they give you towels at the spa as well. The room is also equipped with a Nespresso machine. The bed is very comfortable, I had a really good sleep. Unfortunately my room didn't have a view so that was a bit of a downside. Another (slight) frustration are the elevators - prepare for long waits as the hotel is huge (14 floors on the west wing) and has two elevators which will take you up and down (depending on who was in first) until you manage to get to your room eventually. Thankfully I wasn't that high up so I could use the stairs.
The hotel was super busy, I think it was hosting an event. The spa is one of the best things about the hotel. It has a pool, jacuzzi, sauna and a steam room (though the steam room needs refurbishment). The jacuzzi is amazing. Also the hotel's location is very good. Overall, I had a great weekend and enjoyed my stay.
We celebrated my partner’s 30th birthday (it was her first time staying there), and the experience was unforgettable. We were looked after by Anika, who upgraded our room, surprised us with wine, and delivered truly exceptional customer service. She went above and beyond to make sure we had a stay to remember, and thanks to her, my partner had the best birthday ever.
We even made sure to tell her manager the next day — she genuinely deserves a raise!
All the staff were amazing, and we honestly felt like royalty the entire time. We’ll definitely be becoming regulars.
There’s two major things that needs working on:
1. The lifts within the building took ages to get up and down the building. We was on 7th floor and it’d take us anywhere between 5-10 mins of waiting time, to just get a lift. It’s a bit of a drag, and I think for a massive hotel like Leonardo’s, with a lot of guests staying in it, a quadruple lift is required side by side. This is a major red flag.
2. The hotel sauna, pool and steam rooms gets packed easily. We booked a weekend spa, to relax and didn’t feel so relaxed because of the over packed number of guests who were using the amenities.. it was just crammed the entire weekend. I can’t speak for how I’d imagine it over the weekday, but definitely avoid a Friday Saturday and Sunday. Maybe some extensions for the spa and wellness retreat can be made, to cater to a larger number of footfall of guests coming in.
