The staffs were great(especially valet parking) and location is good. My room was Deluxe Garden King on the 1st floor. I found some used personal stuffs in the shower when I checked the room on the first day so I had to ask re-clean bathroom. I could smell something coming from the basement. I guess basement was laundry facility.
I could hear water flow noise all the time from the drain pipes and I could hear TV sound from next room. On my 5th night, I found a roach in the bathroom so I had to ask changing the room and I moved to the 2nd floor. The room had no smell. Thank God!
The breakfast was free but not much too eat. The croissant was dry like carbon box. Only one I liked was coffee machine.

It's a great location for someone who doesn't know the city and doesn't want to drive a ton. Every morning we had a very leisurely walk to another great coffee shop and there's tons of food and grocery store options very close by. Our room was comfortable, the lobby is clean and nice, valet was great. This hotel was a wonderful home base for our trip to LA!

We stayed this hotel for 6nights for World cup game during end of June to early July. We stayed the most expensive room with garden view in 1st floor. The room had full of moldy order and someone left bandages and hair tie inside the shower. So unpleasant!
Free breakfast was nice (even though very simple) and located in quiet area in westwood.
However we felt like we were in small bed and breakfast house. We could hear literally everything, TV, phone call, alley walking, house keeper chatting, people walking sounds from upstairs. The hardest thing was the water sounds. It started from 5-6am. Not simple water sounds, it was like pipe explosion.
The worst thing happened the 5th night, I went to the bathroom around 4:30am and found “COCKROACH” in front of toilet. Tried to kill with my slippers but it was so fast to hide under the bathroom sliding door. I couldn’t sleep at all since then. So worried about the clothes in my luggages and stuff if the roach already got into my luggage.
I told the lady at front desk at 6:30am and she said that she had never heard about roach in the hotel. I kind of shocked of her response because who could say that about this very old wood made hotel. Especially in LA. Hotel SHOULD take care of this kind of issues like bug, insects and etc!
We had to change to 2nd floor for one night. Who would want to change the room in the middle of stay but had no choice.
I was very disappointed and would not recommended this hotel.

This is a lovely boutique hotel in a really safe great location, close to the UCLA campus so lots of college kids. The room whilst small had a great bed, ac and the water pressure was great in the shower. Breakfast was very basic, just pastries, yoghurt, bagels (which you could toast) and fruit. The coffee machine also offers hot chocolate and hot water for tea. Just a shame they don’t offer juices. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Parking was really easy to find despite the restrictions we never had an issue parking either on the street or the next block over. The only let down was the walls are paper thin! We were woken most nights by people either talking, flushing the toilet or closing their doors. If you can carry your luggage up the stairs I would recommend the top floor to avoid noises from rooms above. Either way it was a lovely hotel!

This stay here was wonderful. Andrew at the check in desk was absolutely delightful to talk to. He is definitely in the right business doing hospitality. He is professional, well mannered, immensely polite, and great to chat with. He went above and beyond to help me out when I had a mix up. I really hope he gets the recognition he so deserves. If you have the pleasure of being in his presence, please treat him with upmost respect and be kind. The room was beautiful, I had a wonderful view of the courtyard, the hotel itself is in a great location with everything you need within walking distance.

This is a great little find of a hotel. Really well designed lobby and rooms with a helpful front desk. I would certainly stay here again the next time I pass through Los Angeles.

Let me talk about the good things first.
The bedding is very comfortable.
The only good thing is that the room is very small.
In California, where the rooms are very large, this room can't even fit a desk for $300.
It's very noisy.
You can hear the door across the street close.
The shower noises are so loud that I can't sleep at all.
Hotels usually end breakfast at 10 o'clock, but this one ends at 9 o'clock.
And you have to carry your luggage by yourself, there are no stairs.
The staff won't help you.
Don't stay here.

The location is good, close to UCLA, free coffee in the lobby 24 hours a day, restaurants and supermarkets nearby, the room is very quiet, but there is no elevator, but the waiter will help you take your luggage upstairs, overall satisfied 👍

Very attentive staff. The manager came around and greeted each table. Very good service all around. The rockfish I had for the fish and chips fell apart while eating. So IMHO either the fish or batter were kind of a bad match. But overall the meal was fine. Perhaps a different meal selection would satisfy me better.

Experience was ordinary but expensive. I asked for a double pork chop done medium rare. It came cold, well done and tough. Service was good once we had new waiter. First one seem to think he was a surfer dude.

Emily our server was attentive to all our needs.
Dave the manager stopped by our table to introduce himself and made it clear that he was there to help in any capacity.
The brunch is a limited menu but we both found something on there that we liked.
The bloody Mary was perfect, right amount of spice.
The cheeseburger was cooked perfect medium rare with tater tots on the side.
Beware the cheeseburger, it is very messy but vey good.
The frittata was done a perfect easy as per our request.
Well done all the easy around we will return for sure!

Good variety of foods but very average flavor. It'll be about $10 for your lunch. Unless you're in a rush or is raining, I would prob pass on this place for lunch.

This place is conveniently located in the same building where I work so I've come here several times when I was too lazy to go elsewhere.
I've tried their salads and melts, but they are all sub-par. The food normally tastes pretty bland. The only thing I would recommend getting from here are their fries. I have no idea what they put in them, but they are simply amazing. Everything else on the menu can be pasted up.

I work in the building so go here as a last resort. Their food is fine, expensive for what it is in my opinion. The bagels with cream cheese are good, the breakfast sandwiches are huge. The salads are "meh" and expensive for what they are. The chili and/or baked potato are both good cheap lunch options.
Coffee is good, $2/cup for a medium. Go early or the good flavors will all be gone. If you go in the afternoon, chances are they won't even have coffee available.
Bring cash or load up your Bruin Card if you are a student/staff because they have a $6 minimum.

STK is an excellent choice if you are looking for a great steak and an lively, upbeat and fun atmosphere. I celebrated my birthday here and the staff went above and beyond. In addition to my birthday I have gone several times for dinner and the staff has always been attentive and helpful, even down to helping me pair my steak with the perfect sauce and wine. Drinks are great, food is amazing (Jalapeño Cheddar Grits), let's just say I've never liked grits, but THOSE are unbelievably delicious. I love this place and I will be back soon! Not to mention, you may run into a celebrity or two. Thanks for being great guys!

This place is overrated, I had reservations at 8:30 got there half hour early went to the bar have few drinks. Didn't get seated till 9:00, waiter had adduitde,my fiancée found bug in her drink, are food took over hour didn't start eating till 10:15, the potatoes where cold and hard. Place to pricey for terrible food. The only decent thing is drinks and music. Never go here again Mastros Steakhouse way better.
