Oceana Marina in Los Angeles

Room got cancelled on us last minute. I've never had this happen. 14 hour flight, paid for the room ahead, we were stuck at customs so we called the staff we would be late for the 9pm check-in time. The staff said they would give us a key code. Then, after immigration we called them again -- suddenly no more room. Worst thing to happen after a long flight

dirty linen which surprised us when they enter the room. and pay for wifi but which unfortunately does not work well. dirty bedlinen which was already before our arrival they let us pay. really we do not recommend!!

So first off, the tv didn't work, when I tried to turn on my insignia 17" flat screen I'm my room with the remote that the renter suggested i use to work the tv, I was greeted with a "scan for local channels" notification, the remote didn't do anything more than power the television on. The buttons on the television itself were also uncooperative, upon picking up my keys up in a local McDonald's lobby, the renting representative was short, prude, and sarcastic. The entire scenery was extremely unproffesional. The location sucks, parking the car was like pulling teeth. They crammed me and my travelling partners into a back unit that was previously a garage before the remodeling. Which was only accessible through a narrow alley way. The sink over flowed. Did I mention that the tv didn't work? Our towels that were provided were dirty, there were pubic hairs and unrecognizable yellow stains. Cameras everywhere, I felt like I was a prisoner on a cell block. The neighboring residents were rude and laughed all night and also banged against our wall at 2am and played loud urban music. Multiple spam emails demanding valid I'd and threatening additional charges, as well as a thirty dollar cleaning fee. I would strongly suggest that you rent a local motel 6 room as opposed to wasting any time with this sham of rental company. Very dissatisfied.

Outside doesn't look like the photos. Don't park on the main street side unless you wanna take a chance on your vehicle getting side swiped like mine did while staying here! Also I would advise paying a little more to stay closer to the beach. Rooms were clean though.

This listing should be removed from Hotwire, Expedia and other hotel websites as a Hotel. It's a house/apartment without an attendant.
After I booked a room from Hotwire, I went to the location that was emailed to me but nobody was there. I called the phone number that was provided and the clerk picked up and asked me to meet up with her somewhere else over a mile away at a McDonald's ( and the neighborhood looked sketchy) I asked her to come meet me at the hotel/house she said she doesn't have a car. So I took an Uber and went there to get the keys. Once I got to the McDonald's she was sitting there with all her paperwork and asked me to sign some paper, pay an additional $40 on top of the total amount I paid Hotwire, and then get the keys. I refused and left.
I travel frequently. I’m an IHG, SPG, Hilton gold and several other group member but have never experienced such unethical and false advertisement before.

Horrific! DON'T DO IT. READ the reviews and know everyone has the same terrible experience. The unit is old and damp, very shabby and dirty. Check in is at McDonald's which felt very shady. On arrival to the unit dirty ash trays and dismal patio chair were strewn about the entrance. Booking stated 2 bdr beach house with separate sitting area which is was clearly not. It was barely 2 rooms. The kitchen is just a cupboard full of dishes with no dish soap to wash or even a sink. They obviously just rinse the dishes in the moldy bathroom sink and put them back as they were all dirty and not usuable. There was no sitting/living room area. Literally just 2 bedrooms at the back of a larger unit. Not at all what the pictures show. The pictures are not what you get. I can not describe how run down and sad this place felt. The linens were from the 70s. The whole place was thick with dust and has been neglected for years. Moldy bathroom, Moldy base boards ew ew. There is also no parking so if you miss a spot parking on the street you will have to park elsewhere which meant for us circling dark neighborhoods for an hour trying to find a spot. Management offered absolutely no resolution and didn't even try to accommodate. Dirty rip off. Don't bother
